Ho no, no, no, no, my friend. Champions are born, not made. Sure, you have to train your ass off to become a champion, but that's only after you're lucky enough to be born with the right amount of the right ingredients. Even a club level fighter has natural traits that the average person does not possess. This sport is very, very tough.
I some what agree though. I think if your parents live healthy life and your genes are clean, then it all depends on you. but this is how I feel about boxing. if i'd train football for 10 years - I doubt i could hit professional level.
I guess it can go either way
With the right training do you think you could have become a pro boxer? Honest opinions please!
No. I'm either a doormat or homicidal. All the power punchers woulda KO'd me before I got pissed off and I'd be seen as a sadistic freak show by what I'd do to the others.:frown::frown::frown:
As TS stated - with a right training, could you become pro boxer?. so the answer would be easy - any one can. you don't born to become champion - you train for it. of course unless you born with some defects and illness, that prevent you from training

I'm pretty sure 99% of posters on here never even had an Amateur bout, and less than that had any sparring sessions.
You wouldn't call a pro boxer 'coward', 'ducker' or any of the other stupid names if they had.
I had a few amateur fights & I can tell you it takes a special breed to fight properly in the ring.
A pro with a 10-99 record would be the crap out of 99% of the posters on this site.
And, yes, I was crap. I was fast but stupid. I'm a much better fighter in my 40's than I was in my teens & have outboxed a few 20 something colleagues in fun bouts.
Its all about the jab.
Agreed to every point. Another word I refuse to use is "bum."

^^^ Same... I'm pretty sure I could've won a few not sure if would've had a +.500 record though.. Yo Cubanguynyc I'm gonna be in Miami this weekend I'm gonna try and catch the fight at the miccosukee casino in Miami ... I know you're up north but gotta throw the invite out there
Check your PM, bro.
Define "made it." Are we talking about someone that matters, champion or top-ten? Then my answer is no. Even being a successful journeyman, say 25-10 is doubtful. lol If you've ever had any experience fighting, a 25-10 professional record is quite worthy of respect.
