Whats wrong with sopcast anyone knows? It used to work by itself but now you have to run VCL with it and the stream isn't nearly as good. I remeber streaming Hoya Mayweather and it was an incredibly quality stream. What gives?
I think that is only for certain channels. I was on SOPCAST a few minutes ago and did not need VCL.
yo i forgot what round it was it was a bit later in the margarito williams fight but there was a point where everyones attention was somehow to the right
what was going on?
Pretty good sized fight. At one point there were about 20 people taking swings and pushing, losing shirts, etc. My girlfreind was giving me the play by play as I watched the action in the ring. In between rounds about 15 security officers got control and then they started getting thier asses handed to them. The Sheriff, who are ussually very aggressive in these types of situations let them tire themselves out before stepping in. By the 10th round the section was empty.
did they show any of the ring girls at all? if you were at the fight, i think you know which one in particular i'm takling about. that shorty with the tight waist and fat ass. the one that caused the crowd to boo whenever it was a different girl in the ring and not her.
i was too far to not catch her face, but that body was rewoighjeaoihjeao;ihjaoi
I was at the fight as well and it was absolutely hilarious whenever the 4th girl (supper skiny) would get up and everyone would boo. People were yelling at her telling her to eat a burger. I Tivo'd the fight and you can hear the fans booing between the forth and fifth round.
The rest were all fantastic. You can catch a glipse of one when they break to LA for the first time either right before or after the Cintron fight.
Williams-Margarito, I'm bias since I'll be ringside.
Does anyone where if the Cook - Luevano fight with be available to watch on-line for us in the states?
Ive seen you guys talk about other things but I havent heard you guys talk about the actual fight. How did you guys see it at the fight? Did you think Margarito won? Im guessing that all of you are Margarito fans but I trust you to be honest. Also, tell me some other things that you thought about the fight
I was at the fight and sitting in the first row above the ringside section and was scoring the fight as it went. I was rooting for Margaritto and had the fight scored 116-112 (Williams), but I could definately see how it could be scored 115-113. If Magaritto could have done anything in any of the first 6 or the 12th round this would have been a draw. That being said, Margaritto definately landed the heavier punches but just didn't land enough, especially in the first few rounds. Watching it on Tivo this morning, it looked like Margaritto blocked a lot more punches than it looked live and I need to watch it again to score it.
I'd have to go with Evander in this one but I would hate to have to watch him take any more punches.
Maybe they should just take some roids and go lift some weights together.
It requires a lot of energy to move all that muscle around and the fighters get tied more easily. That in addition to thier belief that they can knock anyone out with one punch. The truth is that some of these guys get sobig and bulky that thier muscles get so tight that thier punches are slow and ineffective.
i think you mean Soccer/Football WAS and IS by far the #1 sport in the world....to think Boxing ever was in the same league is a joke imo....
but other than that yes I agree with you....
That is a great picture of mike with Daryl and Dwight. What privilaged lives they all gave up.
how about contender nito bravo vs arturo gatti in a going away fight, its a recognizable fighter that gatti can beat
Why would anyone want to see Gatti get in the ring in competition again. He has taken so much punishment and who knows how much his brain/body can take. I have no doubt that he could win the fight, and probably should have taken it instead of fighting Gomez, but he should not be fighting anymore. It is sad to see a warrior go out the way he has, but better that then to end up even more damaged than he already is.
What the heck were they looking at during the fight? I can't remember which rounds they were but most of the crowd wasn't even watching the fight, they were looking at something else.
There was a big brawl with at least 10-15 guys. Security had it in control for a while, but then they started getting thier asses handed to them. The Sheriff finally came in and booted them all. It took about 10 minutes though. My GF was giving me the play by play on the amatuer fight while i was watching the pro's but it sounded like it was pretty exciting. In between one round I did see one security guy get pushed over the seat. Looked to be young guys with too much alcohol and Margaritto was losing the fight.
If a fight's being held outdoors, like the Margarito/Williams fight, and it starts raining, what do they do? Do they keep right on boxing?Do they stop till the rain stops?
Anyone know?
I never rains in Southern California.
Israel Vasquez
Rafael Marquez
Paul Williams
Antonio Margarito
Oscar De la Hoya
Chris Arreola
Steve Luevano
James Toney
Shane Mosley
Bernard Hopkins
Andre Berto
Heard Burt Sugar say one time that the heavyweight champion would be Ray Lewis if not for the $$$ and fame of the NFL.
T.O. would probably be a good technical fighter but the first time he was beat ne would go cry and blame his trainors.
not officially, it should of been a 10-8 round but it wasn't and i do believe he touched the canvas with his glove not sure though
His gloves never came within a foot of the canvas. The round was correctly scored a 10-9 round. He was hit hard and stumbled back but by the time he got to the ropes he had already regained his balance.
Agreed. The first round was a 10-9 round for Collazo. I had it 114-113 for Berto but I could understand 114-113 for Collazo also.
All of the "robery" discussion is rediculous.
I had it 114-113 for Berto and re-watched the fight and see it the same way. There was one round that I was realyy close on that could have made it 114-113 Callazo. FYI, I was pulling for Collazo, I just did not like Berto very much, but they both put on a hell of a show.
I think it is less about lossing fans as it is about not gaining many young fans. It has less to do with the scoring, which is sometimes suspect, but more to due with the younger generations. 3-5 rounds is all they can realy take without getting board. The marketing (match-ups, entertainment between fights) are all better than most boxing events as well. That and the fact that many of the casual fans think that the are tougher because it is closer to a "real" fight. I love the sport of boxing and enjoy MMA as well.
I am going to assume my brother was right unless someone can clarify otherwise,
That is some odd logic. He did not once say "you ****ed up" on the HBO broadcast.
Anybody have a link to the video? Although I have not seen Cook fight before, Steven has improve quite a bit in the last two years and I always enjpoy his fight.
