Actually, I wrote in my spare time for Ringside Report... thats far from being an interviewer... I didn't even get paid... but they did buy me press passes to the fights which are pretty expensive, so I didn't complain. I think Clottey does pretty good with English if he can see your lips... but for some reason he used a translator. So all I heard was Clottey in the background. He did make crazy noises though. He's really a nice guy though. Margarito is a good guy too, begins every statement with "Bueno...".
Interesting, just took a wild guess with the interviewer thing.
Edison Miranda, a few times
Raul Marquez, twice
Arthur Abraham
Giovanni Lorenzo
Shaun George
Paulie Malignaggi
Curtis Stevens
Sechew Powell
Andrew Berto
Jonathon Banks
David Tua
Gato Figueroa, three times
Dmitriy Salita
David Estrada
Yuriorkis Gamboa
I forget the rest.
seriously dude, you responded. Its not fair for us to say who, because well, you know. It like bragging.
I think I read somewhere else you said you were a sports interviewer. You said you interviewed Clottey and he was making weird noises. Or something like? I don't remember what forum it was, but your name looks familiar.

Damn... I misread the post, I thought it was "met" in person... I honestly wasn't trying to be a show off... and I'm sure a ton of people on the board have met many more boxers than me... I've seen lots live and I'll leave it at that haha

Wrote for Ringside Report for a short while... met Lennox Lewis (along with the other HBO commentators at Taylor-Ouma). At the fight I also met Emanuel Augustus, Jermain and Ouma at the post-fight presser, Allen Green (but he was actually a dick... and you're asking for cool fighters), Terry Smith, Dominique Guinn, and Jaidon Codrington.
A show a partner and I put on in southeast Arkansas (which I also had to be last minute announcer for) brought Jermain Taylor and his trainer Ozell Nelson's nephew Jonathan Nelson down. Jonathan actually fought... hell of a guy with a lot of potential.
I never met in person, but I interviewed via phone Margarito, Jason Litzau, and Joshua Clottey.
Two non-fighters I met in person who were also notable dicks were Larry Merchant... and the biggest dick I've ever met in my life... goes to Lou DiBella... Congrats Louis!
