We boxing fans can rant all we want but Floyd won't give a ****.
Fans make Floyd rich... thus, we all need to band together and boycott his next fight if he cherry picks someone we fans think will be a clear mismatch (e.g. Khan, Maidana).
It's simple really... if this fight makes record numbers (a certainty), then that means both fighters have the drawing power. So why give one much less? It takes two to set a new ppv record.
0:30 "once again, if my team cherry picked..."
People should boycott his next fight if its not going to be against Manny or anyone that's worth a challenge.
All about business? Then Pacman makes the most business sense. Of course he said it's not about getting hit...
Pac has accomplished more than I could ever imagine at a time he was beating the top guys in the Featherweight division. He was already great then, hence the dream fight with ODLH was hatched.
And the rest is history...
Would still tarnish him and his career like now. Damn think before you type......
Isn't it tarnishing his career now that he is now being blamed for this? And you will accuse him just to tarnish Pacquiao too!
Fail. Ariza would have squealed on Pac by now if it was true he was feeding banned drugs.
You can't keep a blabbermouth shut especially when that traitor was fired.
This is simply embarrassing.
Floyd can't be the #1 P4P fighter if he doesn't want to fight someone who a great majority of the boxing world thinks will give him the greatest challenge, the greatest money, and the greatest boxing event in decades.
He doesn't want to fight someone who's even naturally smaller and lighter than he is!
For chickensakes, he wants to fight Khan! LOL
Yeah, anyone who is not a punching bag is running. I doubt if anyone of you guys watched the fight or knew what you were watching. Pac didn't do sh1t and looked confuse. Everyone talks about Bradley's demeanor after the fight, but neglects to speak of Pac's demeanor. Dude didn't bother to protest.
Bradley is a light hitter, sprained his angle and Pac, the superhuman, couldn't close the show. Bradley outboxed and outworked Pac for the second half of the fight on one damn leg! He was standing right infront of him. I feel a second fight between Bradley and Pac will be more intriguing considering they both have something to prove.
On the other hand, a fight between Pac and Prov is a predictable, onesided, bloody mess. I rather see chess matches than watch onesided blood bath. Pac will be turning the slow Provodkinov, alas rios, all night and slicing him up (he cuts easily).
Manny lacked the motivation going into that fight with Bradley. Heck, he was more excited watching the NBA finals. It was clear he wasn't really focused in the fight and wasn't giving his all, yet Bradley was still dominated.
A second fight with a more motivated Pacquiao will be dangerous to Bradley. I think there will be fear in Bradley going into a rematch. But I do want that fight to happen just to show Pac is in a different class from Bradley.
Yes, a fight with Prov won't be good either. The best challenge for Pac is Floyd. It will be a difficult fight, but Pac will be more motivated than ever and he's in his damn best whenever he is the underdog and needs to prove something.
Bradley's face in between rounds and after the fight says it all. He knew he bit more than he can chew and was clearly defeated until the announcement.
The fact that Floyd, his trainer and his father believe Pac is using PEDs (even when he isn't) and demands OST before they agree to a fight says A LOT!
The underdog always gets more credit for a win.
Pac will be the underdog because he is the naturally smaller man in a fight between two equally great fighters.
The fact that manny wont test and now all of a sudden will test after a couple years is suspect and says alot as well. Especially as he seemed extremely mediocre against Marquez and didnt have his power yall love him for..........
The fact that Bloodwork weakens manny even though he doesnt get weakened when he gets cut in the ring is suspect as well.
The fact that manny just lost his last fight to most spectators but somehow won a landslide decision seems suspect as well.
The fact that manny simply needs to come on sports center or some respected outlet and state he is willing to sign the contract right now if mayweather is ready instead of speaking in tagalog to some third world tabloid seems suspect as well...
The fact that mayweather asked for him on may 5th and did this before he looked horrible against marquez whom floyd embarrassed seems to me to be logical that Floyd wants this fight......
"The fact that manny wont test and now all of a sudden will test after a couple years is suspect and says alot as well. Especially as he seemed extremely mediocre against Marquez and didnt have his power yall love him for.........."
This only shows Pac is willing to give in to Floyd's demand just to make the fight happen. A sure sign Pac wants the fight more.
On the other hand, "Money" wouldn't relent on the OST despite the huge windfall the fight will generate for him and his fans demand of him.
"The fact that Bloodwork weakens manny even though he doesnt get weakened when he gets cut in the ring is suspect as well."
Nope, blood taken before the fight won't weaken a person but it may have a psychological effect for some people. Yes, that is superstition and sadly Manny is superstitious. A cut during the fight isn't the same as blood drawn before, but even then, the fights were Pac got badly cut he didn't perform well and even lost one.
Again, this is now moot as he already agreed to Floyd's blood testing demand.
"The fact that manny just lost his last fight to most spectators but somehow won a landslide decision seems suspect as well."
First of all, a majority decision isn't a landslide decisions as well as a 116-112 score. Second, the result of the fight can't be really surprising as they fought the same close fights in their previous meetings (despite the difference in their successes with other fighters).
"The fact that manny simply needs to come on sports center or some respected outlet and state he is willing to sign the contract right now if mayweather is ready instead of speaking in tagalog to some third world tabloid seems suspect as well..."
Manny doesn't speak much and seek publicity, but when he does speak, you know he isn't saying bull.
"The fact that mayweather asked for him on may 5th and did this before he looked horrible against marquez whom floyd embarrassed seems to me to be logical that Floyd wants this fight......"
The fact is, Floyd didn't mention Manny's name... and that my friend isn't how one shows confidence and courageousness.
everytime i see these fights i score them a draw. i scored each and every pac/jmm fight a draw. pac and jmm are equals in the ring, i have no doubt about it. pac might have the more exciting style or whatever but hes not a better fighter than jmm and vice versa.
Yes, Pac and JMM may be equals fighting each other, but who's the better fighter we'll have to look at the other fighters they've fought and won...
JMM
1) Barrera
2) Juarez
3) Casamayor
4) Diaz
5) Katsidis
Pacquiao
1) Barrera
2) Morales
3) De La Hoya
4) Hatton
5) Cotto
6) Clottey
7) Margarito
8) Mosely
Without a doubt Pacquiao beats all of JMM's opponents.
Other than Barrera, can Marquez beat all of Pac's opponents?
A lot of people underestimate Pacquiao when his last two losses were a fluke---a clear win over a befuddled Bradley and an unfortunate PED punch from a battered Marquez.
If not for those, he would still be sharing the pound for pound plum with Mayweather and their own fight won't still be happening.
lol the 8 year old kid in my gym knows more boxing than pacman nyahahah pacman got where he is because of his physical natural ability but in terms of boxing knowledge and education he is a fukin idiot the damn freak can't know how to counter punch and stand in a proper boxing strance and throw an educated jab hahahah all brawns with no brains that is why is he freaking broke because arum and konz got all his money because he is sooooo ****in stupid and and has very low IQ a dumbass of nature nyahahaha
Yup, I agree. A proper boxing stance is a prerequisite for becoming top P4P and ATG.
Keep those proper boxing stance and it will take you to the top, Chalino.
Let's just say Manny is now a more cautious fighter. Of course we're not used to that kind of fighting style. But he still beats a top prime fighter. No doubt he can beat Provo with that style. And definitely a non-juiced up Marquez.
Actions speak louder than words Pac. Until I hear something from his mouth that he wants the fight, is having his people contact Mayweather's, and he has agreed to everything Floyd wants, I don't believe any of this.
If I'm not mistaken, it has been Team Pac that has been initiating contact with Team May and nothing the other way around.
Lets get this straight Pacman was going to fight in may, when Floyd was supposed to go to jail in January right? But now Floyd's going in june with loads of time for the may, fight Pacman cannot fight in may.
This is elemantary right here. Even blind folks shouls ee who's avoiding who.
Really? As far as I know, no contract for a May fight has been signed yet by Pac.
In theory what you're saying is correct but in reality it is the cute words of a child who doesn't understand how the world works.
Cool, so don't complain of boxing robberies then... because that's how the world works.
Read the thread about Arum's excuses to not make Pac-Floyd. Read all those excuses back to back and tell me if you really think Arum wants that fight.
Yes, I agree, Arum may not want the fight but he hasn't talked to Pac yet. I believe if Pac really wants it, Arum will go with it.
Let's see in the next few days what will happen when Arum talks to Pac and decide who his next opponent will be. I just hope Floyd doesn't sign to fight anybody else before that.
Uh...the info of Schafer reaching out to Arum through the mediator right after the third Manny-JMM fight. Arum said he wasn't interested (no surprise to people with sense). There is this thing called Google...very solid search engine. Or...the archives of this site has that same info.
Of course Schaefer wants to get his moola, but whether it was on his own initiative or he was authorized by Mayweather wasn't clear. Floyd hasn't really called out Pac by name (the first time we thought he did he denied soon after).
On the other hand, Pac has mentioned succinctly many times he wants to fight Mayweather. That is clear.
