..an Ex Flyweight Champion fighting now in the welter weight division
tell me who boxer can do what manny did??? none. Even we cound 10 to 20 years no one can Do what he Did. Tell me whos flyweight bandam wight fighter has a potention to fight in welter weight and super welter weight division now??? None We will count hundred years To see that again
So they were paying more than even money on both Delahoya and PAC ? I don't think you really understand how gambling works ...
then post the right odds then.
I'm talking about him at 130 down, at 130 he was weighing more than Mayweather did for his 140 fights. Pacquiao was always a 135/140 fighter draining down to lighter weights.
at 130-135 pac rehydrate to 145.
floyd does'nt rehydrate right?
floyd don't allow himself to be weighted at fight night doesn't mean he don't rehydrate.
most of the boxers do rehydrate. its not cheating.
you're talking about cotto?
before he fought cotto:
pac is at superfeather 4 fight before
pac is at lightweight 3 fights before.
and is at light welterweight 1 fight before.
how about delahoya?
dela hoya got criticized for making pac move 2 weight division. the majority in boxingscene thought that dela hoya will knock out pac.
it isnt a cherry pick if everyone thought you'll loss.
actually dela hoya cherry pick pac. when floyd avoided a rematch.
this are the odds on that fight
Oscar De La Hoya by KO TKO or Disqualification +140
Oscar De La Hoya by Decision or Technical Decision + 170
Manny Pacquiao by KO TKO or Disqualification +600
Manny Pacquiao by Decision or Technical Decision + 300
Draw or Technical Draw +2000
from march 2008- november 2009 he fought 5 times. in 4 weight division in 4 world championship. fighting dela hoya did not take away the signifficance of that run.

He's an ATG drainer, not really seen as a positive.

Manny Pacquiao is the type of fighter that comes along every century or so.
Glad to have witnessed a modern marvel; kind of makes up for me missing the Bruce Lee era.
Has wins over prime first ballot HOFers under his belt when he was remotely unknown.
Yes 130 down he was always the bigger man beating up smaller fighters, he gradually moved up to the weight he should have been fighting at all along.
You know any welter that drained down to 112 or 122, beating first ballot HOFs along the way?

it been done before. plenty of fighters have traversed a lot of weight classes in even more pronounced fashion than pacquiao. They just didnt have the extra division back then like pacquiao has now.
Georges Carpentier went from flyweight to heavyweight.
lol , canelo is pac's david diaz mate
diaz was actually the linear champ while canelo was just some guy who tried to outbox Floyd for some stupid reason.
you put to much on that. Marg barely beat a journeyman before pac. It was a farce for pac to take that fight. They were only fighting a name. They should of fought some one better at that time.
he won about every round and knocked him down. "you don't know sh-it about boxing!" -Roger Mayweather
I was going to say something but looked at the f*cking retards in this thread and was like f*ck it.
If someone was truly trying to compare Pac to Roy like that dude attempted, reed would have jumped in and laughed. However there is no need.
But I guess like him, you misunderstood my post :D
Or just wanted to twist it to find some sort of agenda... "But you said Roy and Manny in the same sentence and made a comparison doe....:("
How is beating an ex world champion who is 6 inches taller and out weighs you by 25 pounds not worthy of any credit? You make it sound like margarito was just some bum off the street. The fact that he wasn't a current world champ is irrelevant, he was a highly experienced professional fighter at world level and twice Manny's size. The skill it took to hit and avoid him for 12 full rounds was exceptional.
