How much credit should floyd get fighting khan?

It's a hideous fight. Khan hasn't even fought at Welterweight. He's 2-2 in his last 4, going life and death with an average fighter in his last one.

Exactly my point Maidana is José Luis Castillo on steroids and bathsalt with 50% more brutality, plus maidanas punch dynamics is way more tricky No he's not. Castillo was much better than Maidana is.

It baffles me why posters/fans still to this day think that the way to beat Floyd is by outboxing him, LMAO. The fights where Floyd has struggled the most have been against guys who push him around the ring and take away his distance. Cotto.....bullied Floyd along the ropes and had the most success there. You need a jab and you need to maul him....if you keep your distance and try to out-time him or outbox him, you are toast and that's just the way it is going to be. Yeah, only chance anyone would have of outboxing Floyd is if you have some significant height and/or reach advantage. Only way I could see it, anyway. People talk about being sick of seeing guys pressure Mayweather, but those are the toughest fights he's ever had. No one's outboxing Floyd.

Before maidana hooked up with garcia, he fought like a wild animal never using his jab, he fought a very stupid fight against kahn yet it was clear that he had all the tools to finish kahn. kahn on the other hand fought a perfect fight, stay away from maidanas power, and keep him away with fast straight punches, exactly like have devon defeated him. Under garcia Maidana has begone to set up traps, use the jab to confuse his apponent, and then do serious damage with the right. His left hook is also 100% better now and he has better stamnia. Maidana always had the balls and power to be world class, but he couldent get the job done against kahn and devon because he couldent get to them and land his power. Legacy-wise, this does nothing. Almost a silly fight to take at this stage of his career and definitely not PPV-worthy.

He shouldn't get any real credit at all, no more than any fighter deserves for winning a fight. If he struggles at all, even only a round, people will have a field day criticizing Mayweather. That's how low opinion is of Khan right now, justified or not.

Lets look at the statistics Floyd has had trouble with fighters with tremendous speed de la hoya and zab judah gave floyd trouble both of them are beautiful combination punchers this is why i think khan will give floyd trouble early. Biscuit chin has only been koed by big punchers and usually has dominated up until he got koed or hurt. Floyd doesn't really go for the ko i'm willing to bet that floyd bets on himself to win by ud to make extra cash because his power isn't top notch Khan will try to fight on the outside which would be a problem for floyd because khan is taller, very good footwork, superior jab. Floyds fought alot of plodders guys with fast feet like hatton could stay on floyd all night and floyd couldnt get away so if floyd tries to get on his bike khan has a bike too and would be able to keep up with him So if floyd can't hurt khan or khan doesn't tire late i can see this being a close fight. Im not saying khan will win i just think khan has a better chance at winning than maidana does.
