Funny thing is, there are people that only know ali for fighting Frazier and George,,, Couldn't tell you any other fights
Antonio Inoki? Other than that, I couldn't tell you a damn person he fought.
Oh and the names Frazier and Foreman are known to a fair few, but people might not always know exactly what they did besides fighting ali

Depends on a persons age pretty heavily as far as the answers you'll get. If you're asking me it's George Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali, Rocky Marciano, Manny Pacquiao Mike Tyson, Roberto Duran, Evander Holyfield, Oscar De La Hoya, Roy Jones, Joe Frazier, Floyd Mayweather, and Jake Lamotta.
Right now, Ali, Tyson and pacquiao
thats outside the boxing world... my grandparents who never watch boxing have heard of pacman....
the night when floyd beat canelo, he went to a drive thru and no one said anything, no one recognized him... in Vegas his home town, after the actual fight. That says alot...
Inside the boxing world, clearly its Floyd/pac
Ali/Tyson
Foreman
Delahoya/Leonard
Mayweather/Pacquiao
A lot of old time boxing heads stopped paying attention to boxing and haven't heard of Pac or Floyd. Best believe the new school boxing heads know of the other guys though
There was an episode of "Breaking Bad" where the character "Hank" said something along the lines of, "Who do you think you are, 'Macho' Camacho or something?" I found that to be a very interesting reference. I can certainly understand some people from Hector's era getting it, but that's about it. It left me wondering why the writers didn't choose a better-known name.
Ali,Iron Mike,Rocky Marciano,Ray Leonard,Oscar
I was talking to a guy a while back about boxing...Guy played safety or linebacker or something in college, was a really good athlete and everything...I started talking about Duran and JCC and he had no idea who the hell they were...He did know who Chris Eubank and Virgil Hill was though, which I thought was kinda weird.
