Floyd will hurt Oscar. Even if he doesn't land anything big at a time you have to understand that all those jabs and rights add up over the course of a fight. Oscar won't hit Floyd. Oscar's too slow for Pretty Boy's defense.
I agree that most people who don't know boxing want to see brawls. I'm not going to lie I lopve to see a war out there. But that doesn't change the fact that a good technical boxer is intersesting to fight. It is in our nature to enjoy the Rocky Marcianos and other brawlers but you have to also love those great all around boxers.
His head is elsewhere. He is in it for the money (like he should be) but with everything surrounding the fight it becomes hard to focus and... Mayweather is better and fought his fight not De La Hoya's.
I think Arreola needs to prove himself before we can talk about him being "great" down the road. I also heard Joe Mesi who I'm a fan of but he is getting up there in years. Chambers has potential. He also has a lot of time to work on his game because he's only 25.
There are a few factors including but not limited to: time of day, mood, caliber of fighters etc. I know it sounds stupid but it matters. But if all is good in the world I would like to see a closely contested well fought boxing match.
The article is real and its not weird that he is naked with other men. He is not even in a pool its like a whirlpool for muscle relaxation and like all other whirlpools it is better if you aren't wearing any clothes. I'm not saying I would jump into anything with naked men but its more like a sauna than a midnight skinny dipping party
Great you have a former thief, rapist and absolute psycho at the protest. He probably though Armenian genocide was a meal and was looking for some free food.
Just to add another twist to the Mayweather/De La Hoya fight... Since everyone keeps talking about how Mayweather Sr. could give PBF some inside tips on Oscar, what if Sr. was reporting back to Oscar about PBF's training camp... He is still obviously upset about not being the head trainer... What if he is in PBF's camp just to get secrets and cause problems?
Just a thought...
That's quite a story you got there. But they have fight tapes and aside from training techniques which isn't that huge there is nothing to be told.
I think that Floyd Senior is done with Oscar and is making an effort to be closer to his son. Whoever made this thread just watched a spy movie and got a little too excited.
I want you to be right but "Gayweather" is too quick and he is practically untouchable. Also I haven't seen Oscar's training but he's fast. I'm a little skeptical. Oh yeah "Gayweather" is real clever I like it.
I love Rocky Marciano but Joe Louis was such a fundamentally sound fighter. I do agree that Marciano was better than Schmelling but Louis did beat Schmelling the second time around which also needs to be taken into account.
First of all whoever said they can coexsist is wrong because when you have guys like Joe Rogan out there being a jackass and bad-mouthing boxing it gets very difficult for the two sides to like each other. Secondly about the "human cock-fighting" comment that was not Lou Dibella's. He stole that from John McCain (the presidential candidate). I thought it is a very good portrayal of the sport. Finally to all you UFC fans out there bust on our fights like Taylor-Spinks and Mayweather-De La Hoya all you want but also take a look at your big fights where the great Chuck Lidell gets KTFO in Round 1. Oh yeah and don't say love him or hate him because the idea behind the thread is that I hate him.
Tickets are kind of expensive they're 40 for General Admission which is on the balcony. It's not a very big venue so every seat is a good seat. They sell beer and food too. It's worth the trip though.
I can't believe you like MMA and boxing. I've really only known of a couple people who like both. I do agree thought that MMA and boxing are not the same sport and shouldn't be put together anywhere. Even on this site. Hear that boxingscene.com! But I'm just a little old school like that.
I think he would have beat them both. Towards the end he was fighting to be a champ or a great boxer again he was looking for a pay day. In his prime Joe Louis could have beat a lot of people. They both would have been very tough fights because they were both excellent fighters but Louis was out of this world in ability. My vote goes to yes on Louis beating Charles and Marciano.
You can come off a little racist. I know you're not you're just telling the truth but a lot of time the truth about sports in America is closely tied with racism. We like to think that there isn't bias and racism in sports but those who think that need a reality check. As for you when you say what everyone is thinking it sounds racist. I agree with you though.
For a ll my bitching and complaining about how it was run I get there and have the best boxing experience of my life. I see 8 great fights, I'm with a crapload of drunk Philadelphians. I sat 20 ft. from Michael Spinks, 10 feet from Randall Cobb and I meet Anthony Thompson and get his autograph. What more could I want.
I like it but it will never happen. Boxers right now are content on the amount of money they are making. I don't know what the big name fighters think about the state of boxing but I know they are still making a lot of money. I like the idea though. The only problem I see is the tournament. People have been trying to organize tournaments forever but it never really works. As for the "fan's commission" I'll pay a dollar.
Start bringing fights to Philly. I was a t the Regional Gloden Gloves at the New Alhambra and the place was packed. They were turning people away. Yet there is never FNF at Philly.
I don't have HBO and even if I did $54.95 is really steep. If I can go somewhere that has it I would but I defenitely won't buy it. No way in hell. There was a time when good boxing was free. I never lived in that time but I heard it was pretty good.
He should come out with USA flag. For god's sake his American born 'n raised. Last time I checked PR was part of the US so there should be no question.
