There are 2 things I'm going to miss about DK...
1. The way he talks. He is the funniest guy in boxing when he starts making up words (trickeration) and spouts "Bill Shakesphere" describing whatever fight he's promoting at the time. He once testified in court, on the stand & under oath that "I was lying yesterday but I'm tellin' the truth today!"
2. His events of the 80's when he stacked Heavyweight title matches with top heavyweight contenders and meaningful undercards. Today, for every Heavyweight championship fight, you have to suffer thru a flyweight or super-bantamweight tapfest.
When Don Kings body finally dies...
Satan will just have find a new body to inhabit that he may continue his domination and ruination of the sport.don king may of ruined the sport but when he dies its going to get a lot, lot worse. everyone is gonna be fighting over control and it may take decades for it to recover. matches are gonna be even harder to make & generally its gonna go to shit.
this is the golden age of boxing imo and its going to end some day.
(yes it may of been better before don king but who can remember that ?)
castro might die ''physically'' but his legacy and reputation will still live. just like don king's
yup. there will be no promotor in history or in the future that will be more famous than don king at what he does. Oscar may be more popular when its all said and done but will it be for promoting?
