I think Louis beats Marciano - probably have a very rough time early but Louis was too technically sound for Marciano. Problem with prime Louis VS prime Charles, is that prime Charles is a Light-Heavy, so would favour Louis in that one as well.

I think Marciano would eventually stop him either way. I just think the power and the constant pressure will eventually get to Louis.

Ali got alot of bs decisions, his whole boxing record is bs. He had like the mob behind him, theres a couple of fighters who beat ali but got robbed in the decision. Ali is the biggest over-rated junk in the history of boxing. Foreman is where its at. OMG, he beat Foreman. Atleast Foreman worked for all his wins and didn't have the mob behind him givinig him wins. Actually, it was quite the opposite with George Foreman, he had the mob against him. Shannon Briggs decision over Foreman was shameful to boxing. It's like this, after his win against Foreman, everyone was giving Ali a fucking blowjob. What the fuck are you talking about? The mob?

rocky marciano had the worst style for louis, he hated to fight swarmers - which rocky was. becasue of the styles, i think the rock would always beat louis ( and i think joe louis is the greatest hw champ of all time ). young louis would beat ezzard charles, but it'd still be a tough fight. ezzard charles was very fast and skilled and a hard puncher. if it was the charles before he killed sami baroudi in the ring ( when ezzard still had the desire to win by KO ) i'd say he puts up a great fight and probably knocks louis down early. louis gets up to stop charles late in the fight

Joe Louis was competitive enough against Rocky Marciano when they fought to make me think that if he had fought him in his prime he would have won. Joe Louis was 37 when he fought Marciano, and he fought 8 times that year. This was back when 37 was actually very old for a boxer, unlike today with modern sports science. It definately would have been different with Louis in his prime. I've really got to watch more videos of Louis, I haven't seen nearly enough, he truly was one of the greatest ever.

Regardless of prime, Ezzard Charles would give anyone a hard time. That one is close everytime. I think Louis probably stops Marciano in prime. Most likely on cuts. The jab of Louis would have done a number on the rock. It would certainly be exciting until the end.

He was 36 and 37 in the two fights against charles (36) the rock (37). I believe he would have beat charles for sure and probably the rock as well bringing his record to 71-1.... Joe louis the greatest heavy of all time...IMO discuss... I agree, I think he would've beaten them both in his prime. I also believe he's the greatest heavyweight of all time.

Probably. Charles wasn't at his peak at heavyweight. In fact, he wasn't ever quite the same after killing a guy in the ring which was years earlier. He was such a great fighter that he's considered #1 (or at least top 3) at 175 and also had a reign as HW champ.

I love Rocky Marciano but Joe Louis was such a fundamentally sound fighter. I do agree that Marciano was better than Schmelling but Louis did beat Schmelling the second time around which also needs to be taken into account.

Louis though Rocky may beat him even in Primetime, but Rocky said just the opposite...Give them both a break, they were the top two of their times. Loius was amazed at how hard Rocky hit...I'm sure rocky thought Joe was a tough cookie.

I think he would have beat them both. Towards the end he was fighting to be a champ or a great boxer again he was looking for a pay day. In his prime Joe Louis could have beat a lot of people. They both would have been very tough fights because they were both excellent fighters but Louis was out of this world in ability. My vote goes to yes on Louis beating Charles and Marciano.
