i don't think there is a boxer out there that's on top who doesn't have a manager that doesn't cherry pick. I don't care how awesome an up coming fighter is if he isn't gonna bring in as much money as an over the hill boring fighter he's not gonna get the contract. they would much rather wait on that up and coming fighter to mature not in skill but in sales.
fighter take risk fights mostly on the way up the ranks not when there at their peak.

i actually think pacquiao could take a decision against hopkins even with the weight disparity. If there ever was a light heavyweight made for pacquiao hopkins is it.

i'm filipino born in the us and one of those big fans of both. i always end up betting against pacquiao and get burnt, yet money has always been good to me. i rather see them fight other fighter.
i don't think pacman is on peds. take any any fighter to play full court basketball for hours in the 100+ degree humid weather for stamina add huge ass legs for power and table tennis genes for speed and agility....they too could have belts in multiple divisions.
I thought that was a very good fight! I did think marquez won but rounds could have gone either way...after watching it again i thought marquez' style gave him the loss, always backing up backing up...gave the impression pac was the aggressor the whole fight. so you had judges that liked that kind of style of fight...probably placed there.
in the end who cares who won...i was entertained!

mayweather i think you are the most skilled boxer... i think your gonna beat manny...i also think the better fighter should make more money yet that not true. I would believe you would be the draw but Time magazine doesn't think so. I have to believe they know who sells more on the world stage. the best way to beat cotto is to frustrate him into giving up...cotto has been hurt many times and has still won... manny needs to shut cottos eye with hundreds of straights...can't see manny winning with muscle unless cotto has given up already...

the only ass that COTTO is going to tear is his wife's ass. The early rounds would be for COTTO, the later rounds would be for PACQUIAO. For Cotto to win he needs to catch PACQUIAO in the early rounds, I like PACQUIAO's chances if it gets in the later rounds. Cotto will definetly be difficult, but PACQUIAO's speed and lateral movement, not the SHANE MOSLEY STAND in front of you speed, can and will be the difference maker. When PACQUIAO does win, you haters will probably say that COTTO tore his wife's ass the night before and he was drained. :boxing:
i agree with this...been watching their past couple of fights and pacquiao recent became very good with his lateral movements...something none of the WWs use. no doubt cotto is stronger but with how wide his stance is when he throws body shot...its not happening. cotto gotta use his feints and jabs....he has got to cover up winky style and just keep taking it until he times him. i would like to see if pacman could take some heavy hands.

being a fan of pac i would put my money on mayweather...the fight wouldn't be my first choice for mayweather but even if mayweather took 50%...even 40% i don't see a fight out there that could make him more... even with a 60% split.
if pacman had the same tools and mentality with mayweather's body i would still go with mayweather. even at the incredible rate that pacman is improving its to late in his career to catch mayweather. to bad he wasn't american or even mexican.
pacquiao will turn the power off (like the diaz and dela hoya fights) and box with lightning speed...frustrate cotto into mistakes....pacquiao does have power to match a WW but why put yourself in harms way...maybe in the latter rounds.
