Trainer Freddie Roach, who handles Manny Pacquiao among others, says the Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Juan Manuel Marquez pay-per-view will bomb on September 19. He says the recent announcement that Mayweather-Marquez will be shown in movie theaters across the United States is a sign that Golden Boy Promotions, and Mayweather Promotions, have given up on the pay-per-view audience.

"They have already given up on the pay-per-view audience. They know it's not going to sell. Someone is going to take a bath in that fight," said Roach to fighthype.com.

Roach doesn't see the fight being an exciting one because of their counterpunching styles. Because Mayweather does not fight as an aggressive opponent, he doesn't see Marquez being the one to make the fight.

"The styles just don't match up. Style make fights. People know the styles of both by nature are counterpunchers," Roach said. "Marquez has changed his style somewhat; he's more offensive, but still, his best fight is as a counterpuncher. That's why he did so well against Pacquiao because Manny is so aggressive and he's used to attacking so much that his counterpunching style is great for that. When he doesn't have a guy that comes to him, he's not as effective."
