I understand what you are tryin to say. You are saying that when all is said and done you believe that a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight will be the deciding factor on fighter of the decade. What I am saying is that that is bullshit because as recently as 2 years ago they had a 4 weight division gap between them while each was already building a case for the fighter of the decade. A title just as mythical as p4p or atg. Bottomline is that as recently as 2 years ago a Pac-Floyd match was utterly inconceivable. In my opinion for that fight to even happen at all would be a testament to how much more Pac has achieved in boxing compared to Floyd in this decade.
OK. I see where you are coming from.
I would try to get onto the forum for two weeks, but fail! :lol1:
wrong. fans already know that hatton was overrated even before the pbf-hatton fight. even floyd himself said that ricky hatton is overrated :Flush:
Lets be real though, Floyd just says that kinda shit to help hype up the fight... gets some trash talking going and gets the fight more speculation.
Floyd looks dead ass tired in his fight against Hatton when Pacquiao knocked Hatton out in 2 rounds at Hattons best weight of 140. I know styles make fights and that is why Mayweather had to go 10-11 rounds with pressure fighter Hatton at a weight class hatton looked bad at in his previous fights.
That's not really an accurate comparison, though.
Pacquiao is a hyper active, offensive minded fighter. Whereas Mayweather is a calculating, defensive minded fighter.
It only makes sense that Mayweather's fight with Hatton would last longer than Pacquiao's, just given their styles and history. It's no knock on Mayweather.
And one could easily bring up the fact that the Oscar that Floyd fought was more dangerous than the Oscar that Manny fought. Being it was at Oscar's best weightclass since his days at 147, and he wasn't killing himself to make weight. On fight night he was healthy, focused, and ready to do battle.
Can't say the same about him the night of the Pacquiao fight.
I am real brah. Did you read the guys post that I responded to? I was not even talking about the mythcial P4P title. I was speaking specifically about who would be fighter of the decade. What I was saying was that AT THIS POINT, I believe the fighter of the decade is between Floyd and Manny. Since that is the case, I PERSONALLY think that the argument over who is the fighter of the decade IN MY OPINION can be settled by those two fighting each other before this decade is over. That's how I feel about this situation. I see what you are saying though, do you understand where I am coming from?

I'd say........
Told 'ya so......
Seriously, I went out on a limb about this prospective fight happening back when Pacquiao beat Barrera in the rematch. I said he could easily fight at 147 and fight Floyd and it would be the biggest fight to be made in the sport.
I also predicted Mayweather would TKO Pacquiao around the 10th or 11th.
Now I just LOL @ everybody who said I was insane for even thinking the fight was a possibility.
I would say Floyd is the best WW in the world cause if he has to fight Pacquiao, that would mean the lil fukker already beat Cotto.
Still i would also say" i knew it was gonna happen."
You're trippin. As recently as 2 years ago Mayweather was fighting at 154 while Pac was fighting at 130. A 4 weight division gap. The subject of Pacquiao possibly overtaking Mayweather for the mythical p4p title had already been brought up but noone in their right mind had ever even considered Mayweather and Pacquiao ever sharing the same ring, and you're telling me that a fight between them would settle the debate??? Get real brah.

First of all, I was saying that some people ON NSB who say that they would give him props for beating someone IF they fought are the same ones that tend to SWITCH WHEN it actually happens. That is what I am talking about, sir. I have personally seen it happen. That is the gripe that I have with certain posters. They say, "well he has to do this", then when it gets done, they INSTANTLY discredit it.
SINCE he is fighting now, I will not rank him nor give him fighter of the decade NOW. But if he beats Manny (who many may believe is the fighter of the decade, which is fine), I say that he is the fighter of the decade. I personally say that BECAUSE Manny is the only other fighter who I would say has THE chance to be named fighter of the decade. Their fight would settle that argument IMO.

I'm guessin this means after they both win their next fights. In that case, Pac is a top WW for beatin Cotto, and Mr boat buyer deserves full cred for beatin him. Just fight SSM after that if he's still the top WW and it's over with. Nobody can question/criticize Mr boat buyer anymore. And I'd be proud to rep him again.
id have to finally give him major props, even though you can make the arguement about pacquiao being smaller, its been proven that beating Pacquiao is a really tough task and deserves alot of credit regardless
big deal...just because he beats pac doesn't mean he is the best just had the style to beat him. for all we know pac could beat cotto mayweather could beat pac cotto could bea mayweather....but i would definitely bow down to him if he went up 2/3 more class and won. fxxk pac and cotto i want to see him fight williams.
Same opinion of him as always. Great fighter. I'm pretty sure boxingscene would crash though due to all the excuses by Pactards
LMAOOOOOOO!!!! that is sooo true tho
but back to the main question...
i would look at all my fellow filipinos and be like
"I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!"
then id prolly get jumped after
