Personally my opinion, I am a fan of both Floyd and Pac-Man. I truly believe we won’t see another fighter as great as they both were. I believe they are both great in their own ways. But as far as whose greater, I’d say Pacquiao without a doubt is greater based on his accomplishments of a 8-division champion, 5-time lineal ( lineal flyweight, featherweight, super featherweight, super lightweight welterweights ) and the only fighter in history to be a champion in four different decades 90’s,2000’s,2010’s and 2020’s.
They fair points, have you ever dissected the titles, or youre just adding them regardless of how they come, like his bogus 154 title at 150lbs against a WW because the current 154 belt holder Foreman refused a CW, these things matter .
Dissect titles really is that what this is coming down to, over weight limits and vacancy ? I can see to some degree the agreement of catch weights but If you look at boxing’s regulation for title fights, for example 154 super welterweight, for it to be a legit title all it states is that a fighter come in from 148 -154 lbs is classified as the super welterweight. Either way even in Floyd’s case he won 154 title from canelo at 152 weight limit ( which I believe it was one of Floyd’s most dominant and greatest performances i ve seen, given his age at that time )There’s no dispute there, so why would Pacquiao title win against Margarito be questioned, margarito and canelo signed the contract therefore there shouldn’t be any discussion from us fans about that idk man that’s how I look at the whole catch weight fights
cotto has earned his right to demand whatever he wants, plus cotto shouldnt be the one bending for margarito demands. margarito should just be happy and fortunate that he is still making money fighting. I know everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but I do believe he did know about his wraps and that he used them in the first fight, 1. he was a slight underdog 2. puerto rico vs mexico, one of the biggest rivalries in boxing, 3. it was one margarito's biggest fights beside the williams fight, to be honest cotto should even demand that steward wrap margarito hands.
just visited the site he was talking about speedacheetah.com, after reading the faq it clearly states, "SAFE: Can I use SpeedaCheetah if I am drug-tested for competitive sports? :wave:Yes. SpeedaCheetah has also been thoroughly tested by the United States Anti-Doping Agency and the World Anti-Doping Agency. Both verified SpeedaCheetah does not contain any ingredients that appear on the World Anti-Doping Code (WADA/World Code) or International Olympic Committee (IOC) Banned Substance lists. SpeedaCheetah contains no ephedrine, ephedra (ma huang), prohormones, yohimbine, or other dangerous stimulant compounds.
We have had many inquiries from top fighters asking if SpeedaCheetah can be taken during high-level competitive athletics, where fighters are subject to routine drug testing.
In the two-year period where fighters preparing for the 2012 Summer Olympics, NCAA tournaments, UFC, and IBF, WBC and WBA professional fighters have used this product, we have never had a single testing infraction or false-positive response.
We have gone to great lengths to give fighters confidence in SpeedaCheetah. We can confirm that none of the ingredients in SpeedaCheetah appear on the World Anti-Doping Code (World Code) or International Olympic Committee (IOC) Banned Substance lists.''
cant wait for the fight either. . . . i definitely see the outcome of the fight to be different this time around especially with steward in cotto corner. steward has helped alot of great fighters recover their careers in the same sense in margarito wins i will definitely give him the credit. in my book i believe he did cheat in the first fight i mean come on why wouldnt he its a big rivarly between mexicans and puerto ricans
I would love to see cotto vs PAC again but to be honest cotto vs may would also be appreciated by many boxing fans I honestly believe that cotto may have the better shot in beating may for the fact that even roger may said that the only way to have a good Chance in beating his nephew would be someone with a great jab which I believe cotto has when he uses it and with steward in his side is definitely a plus as well.I don't believe may has the work rate to give cotto problem cotto by ud
i am both a pac and floyd fan i respect them both for what they have accomplished in the sport of boxing. they both have tremendous talent, skill and dedication to the sport that has paid both of them really well. to be honest this fight is a toss up fight 50/50.i could see both fighters winning this fight when it happens but when they do fight obviously one will become victorious. for the reason that they are each others krpytonite pac has shown in the past to have trouble with pure boxers and counter fighters and floyd has shown from time to time, to have trouble with southpaws . i believe that this is gonna be each others toughest test and the winner wont be won in the gym( cuz there both gym rats). but rather in the corner which fighter recieves the best advice from his corner and which fighter acutally implements it first. and again that is my opinion
i have been dying to see this fight and i hope it does this would make for an exciting and competive fight especially with steward in cotto's corner, i believe cotto would use his JAB and cut mayweather off. plus mayweather doesnt throw enough punches to off set cotto. cotto by late stoppage or split decision
Its not easy to make cause berto still owes collazo a much needed rematch. I would rather see that fight than the cotto fight. Cotto is at the point in his career that he can cherry pick who ever he wants he has earned that privilege and plus a berto fight even though on styles alone sounds like a exciting fight I must quote pbf " if it don't make $$$ it don't make sense"
That's why manny is fighter of the decade and p4p despite all the catch weight bs manny still fought them and convincingly beat them all. Margarito is next. . . floyd is the fantasy fight p4p champ/manny is the real p4p champ
all youflomos are seriously retarded manny has never let me say that again N-E-V-E-R FAILED ANY URINE OR BLOOD TEST in his whole career come on seriously are we seriously believing two crack heads and a crack baby. what is this world coming to? get ur facts or just shut up
i am all in for this fight a unification title fight i do see this fight a very competitive fight for the first two and see pac ko berto in round 6 pac would be too much berto. berto has never faced a oppposition as good as pac. i would rather see this fight than pac and margarito. plus pac would have 5 lineal title
u cant descredit berto if he ko ortiz jus because ortiz has quit before u cant make that statement if uve never been in the ring before and actually fought, ya people dont want to see quitters, but back to the main point which is I think everyone would like to see berto step up his level of oppostion. Mike jones I believe would give berto a lot of problems LP
To be honest I loved what steward is doing with cotto, bring back the old cotto with that being said styles make fights, margarito has the style that gives cotto problems if cotto goes to the body early and fights smart like he last night he could make it very easy for himself in the later rounds cotto late stoppage body shot or split decision, but definietly an epic fight
Cotto to win in the rematch needs to target marg body likr pac did in order to slow him down from bullying him than cotto could go to work and go for the kill
ok if no one knows if margarito did load his gloves in the first fight, its based on assumptions and speculation, than NO ONE can say that Pacquiao is on something cause he has never tested positive on any test, but we don know that margarito atleast attempted to use load gloves in the mosley fight, like the say once a cheater always a cheater
my opinion i think khan gets ko in 9rds, martinez cause of his size, style and strength give floyd the most trouble. i ve also thought that cotto could present floyd some trouble, not as much as martinez, but enough trouble to present a great fight. its a recipe for another great payday for both fighter outside of pacquiao. floyd we be an obvious betting favorite but its boxing any thing can happen on any given night.
I first want to put therea that i am fan of both cotto and mayweather. I find it funny that everyone who says the mayweather is just gonna beat the brakes off of cotto or that pbf is going to walk thru cotto because you guys or ladies are pretty much discrediting his win, if he wins, with that being said ill give him all credit if he does win because despite them both not being their primes anymore this would be floods most credible win since corrales
It will be really fun when a non-converted orthodox puts your wannabe pacman ass on the canvas.
Lol I didn't convert the style cause I am "wannabe "ok pacman. Good one. I went with the style cause it felt most comfortable for me. But thanks anyways ill use your advice as motivation
keep your hands up, bring your jab back high and breath with your punches. It will be hard to relax your first time, try to remember that you burn more energy when your tense...
Good luck bro its fun, I do it 3 times a
week.[/QUOTE
Thanks bro I appreciate the advice
Thanks again everybody for your tips and advice. Just a update on how it went, obviously there is always room for improvement. Sparred four rounds with a novice opponent did pretty well according to my trainer. I got hit with a few good shots( which is expected) and in return I knocked my opponent down one time in the third round. Overall good experience. Can't wait for the next sparring session. Thanks again
Use your foot work. I don't know what your style is and what ability you have within. If you are not the power hitter. Then I suggest try to move in and out and keep your distance.
Thanks again for the advice, the style I am trying to incorporate would be more of a boxer /puncher style. If that helps give me more advice
