Manny Pacquiao is a good fighter but I feel as though he is overrated and people are falling into the HYPE the media surrounds him with. Not to take anything away from him but his career has been crafted to make him into a super star these last few years. Fighting Oscar, Hatton, Cotto & Clottey didnt prove much to me. Oscar at his age could not perform at 147 so that was a give me fight. Hatton had suffered a ko against floyd and in his return bout was staggered in the 10th round only to escape with a victory to be ko in his next fight. Cotto was damaged after the margarito fight and hasnt been the same since. He wasnt the same against jennings, clottey, pac, or foreman. Cotto needs to RETIRE ASAP. And clottey? Well we wont even talk about that character.
All im saying is people are blowing this fight up the way FLoyd would want you to. He's been in this hot seat numerous times and one other time that was similar was against Hatton. After Hatton stopped Castilo with a body shot he said "These 4 rounds had more excitment then Floyds whole career". People bought into it, the hype was crazy, I was considered a flomo then as well as now.
At the end of the day Floyd is just to technical & Manny makes too many mistakes that Floyd will capitalize on. The fight will be a shut out victory for Floyd. You might not like his style but u have to respect it.

Cotto and Hatton were good wins you can only fight what is put infront of you, ODH and Clottey were very suspect fights that didn't prove much, this a guy that fought barrera, morales 3 times and Marquez twice Definetley not overated.
He still won't beat floyd the catchweights and draining people like cotto do piss me off but i don't think pacqiao is big enough to be a legit welter and money talks so you do what you have to get the good fights and not lose the advantage which is what he done with Oscar and Cotto.
I agree though that Floyd will shut him out after hes figured him out after two rounds.
floyd will be the favourite because of his size and stye advantage but you can never count out the pacman. We all know pac can up his game a few levels and he has the tools to beat floyd if he fights smartly.
Pac's confidence has grown with his recent wins. Though, none of the opponents he faced were of Floyd's caliber. We should expect to see the best Manny in that ring with a well laid out plan by Freddie. I don't doubt
that Freddie and Manny have taken advantage of the delay to study and spar for Floyd.
Manny is still in his prime and coming off of big wins. He knows he can't risk making any big mistakes without paying for them dearly. If he can sustain a steady attack of combination strikes, he has a good chance to make it close.
Though my feeling is once Floyd realizes he's falling behind on points, he'll be eager to rally and close the gap while making it exciting for the fans.
If Manny's defense hasn't gotten better than it could be, we may see a knockdown or two.
This one's for all the marbles. I'm sure Manny will come to fight hard.
i am both a pac and floyd fan i respect them both for what they have accomplished in the sport of boxing. they both have tremendous talent, skill and dedication to the sport that has paid both of them really well. to be honest this fight is a toss up fight 50/50.i could see both fighters winning this fight when it happens but when they do fight obviously one will become victorious. for the reason that they are each others krpytonite pac has shown in the past to have trouble with pure boxers and counter fighters and floyd has shown from time to time, to have trouble with southpaws . i believe that this is gonna be each others toughest test and the winner wont be won in the gym( cuz there both gym rats). but rather in the corner which fighter recieves the best advice from his corner and which fighter acutally implements it first. and again that is my opinion

Sounds like a numbnut Pachater and a flomo-ball-licker. There's a reason why the AMERICAN boxing writer's association picked Manny over Floyd as the fighter of the decade. Manny is a good ambassador of boxing. Floyd may have all the skills but he doesn't have the heart and courage (or balls) to face tough opponents. That's why your boy is branded or has a reputation of a coward. Only flomos don't recognize that.

Only in hindsight can anyone call Pac's career hyped or deliberately crafted. He took on most of the best in each division that he fought in and won, not only in a convincing fashion, but in devastating fashion. That's why he was able to capture the imagination of fight fans around the world.
It cannot be denied that Floyd is a great boxer with overwhelming skills and physical advantages over Pacquiao. But there is a reason why you, me and every other fight fan and boxing expert are salivating over this dream match.
Yes Manny Pacquiao will be school and punish for 8 rounds and put in the canvass in the 9th, he is such an easy work thats why Mayweather's Camp signed the contract immediately.

This is not going to be an easy fight for either of them
if its so easy he would have fought him already and made $50 mill dont you think?? Or do u really believe him when he says he want's to clean up boxing??

I don't know man.....he looks pretty viscous in the ring to me. If Cotto was shot how could he move up in weight and beat an undefeated guy for his title? It is going to take the conspiracy of all time to arrange for Pac to win all those titles in all those weight classes if he was a simple hype job. Clottey was afraid to even open up against him "no, he is too fast, too strong"- Clottey between rounds explaining why he would not trade with Pac
