Mayweather made his speech about fighting Cotto at his best weight to make his win over Cotto seem better than Pacquiao's ko over Cotto a few years earlier. I think Floyd will give up weight if he is sure he will win. He knew Oscar was past prime and he could spot Oscar the weight and still beat him. He knew Cotto was just an overweight welterweight that had seen better days and he could beat him. In spite of the whole Mayweather clan saying Floyd could beat Canelo with no problems Floyd is not sure he can beat this young powerhouse. Canelo has wanted to fight Floyd for well over a year now. If Floyd was going to fight him he would have fought him on May 4th instead of Guerrero. Canelo brings in far more money than Guerrero or anyone else Floyd could fight. Mayweather's last five fights will be with welterweights or Jr. welterweights. Floyd insisting that Canelo make a weight he can't possibly make is Floyd's way of saying he is not going to fight Canelo. I have no problem with Mayweather staying at 147 if he gives up his WBA 154 pound superchamp title he got for beating Cotto so that Canelo can be the full WBA 154 pound champ. you couldn't have said it better.
I saw it in Rubens face he was sweatin SR, don't sit here and BS me. Dude is a clown. We know Sr. fought as a pro not some fake ass street fighter. F*ck outta here trying to defend papa G. Dude is a buster haha
Sr. Can't even talk! Are you fu-ken serious? And how the hell can you see Papa G's face? It's covered in his Tango hat, big ass locs, and a larger than life brocha! " I could see the look in his face" lmao whatever homie. You obviously ain't from Southern Cali where ****s real. Crazy ass Mexicans takin over black neighborhoods! Fools out here don't give a f-ck if you're a pro fighter or not. Lets get down and handle ours and don't have baby nuts lol. Sr. Sucked anyway. If you think a washed up old boxer can't lose to a skilled street fighter you live in fantasy land. Puto
From what I saw Sr. Was talkin **** from 30 ft away when Ruben turned around. Wtf should he have shot an arrow at his ass? When they came near is when Ruben was about to kick it off on that old alley cat base head. If you are used to fighting, you know Ruben is the nut in this situation. What we saw when they were near is Ruben more than ready to take flight on that old bat. Sr. Couldn't even get a fken word out he was stuck on stupid like a deer in headlights. Then walkin away talking more **** all of a sudden. Lets keep it real man come on.
Years ago in the California Youth Authority-Paso I had a Landscape instructor name Tom Ogren. He looks like a huge biker. He use to be professional Boxer decades ago. He is now an author. Anyways I was learning how to put my punches together and throw down. He would put tapes on of fights that were recorded on "the outs" he taught me how to watch Boxing. What this guy is doing and the other reacts. How this ones standing or blocking. The methods used to trick or break down the opponent. That's how I learned what to watch for and what to pay attention to. I used to slap box with this big dude. He really taught me how to keep my hands up. Tom was a good man and caught heat for it from the other guards and Superintendant. When I got out I was referred to the La Habra Boxing Club over in the OC where Maro Mero Paez and Julio Gonzalez R.I.P. trained. Anyways, that was years ago but that is when and how I became in love with the sport.
That's a total mismatch. Way off. Besides the drug testing jab toward Marquez, he was drug tested for all his fights. Not once tested positive for sh1t, just like Pacman. Here say is worth a bucket of sh1t.
Green karma sent your way dude, this is a great post. Whether or not you're a fan of Juan Manuel Marquez you can't deny his greatness and ability to do things in the ring that others only dream of. Juan Manuel Marquez has given us great fights throughout his career and has always left everything in the ring, he deserves to retire with dignity and utmost respect from the fans and fellow fighters.
The green karma is much welcomed. Thank you Tyler.
1. Victor was Cheap Shot, Sucker Punch "KO'd" by Floyd.
2. Marquez was robbed vs Manny, again.
3. Margarito was strategically stopped, just as Cotto was beginning to wilt.
Despite all the success Mexican & Chicano fighters had this year, it seems like they got the shaft in the grandest fights of the year.
Great analysis EC. You called it right.
Wht people fail to realize here is that boxing is a business AND even more now of entertainment. They lov to praise these slick, pot shot no action no risk taking boxers as its true boxing. Yes they great at it, but they aint making money big time like that. Why u think floyd developed that personality to cover his style.
Itll be hard for rigo to do that with the language barrier, so right now all he can do is try to go for the KO more and just fight the biggest n best at his division n beat em which he has always done. Hopefully, he goes for tko or ko against donaire next fight. Donaire so full of excuses
Well said.
I hope this is a sarcastic parody thread of that other thread saying what Rigondeaux said was racist.
Maybe you guys should PM each other and gang up on Kellerman by reporting him for racism, and he may get a 1 week ban.
What he means is that there's a large amount of Mexican-Americans in the US that always show support to their fighters from Mexico. Cuba doesn't have that.
Stop being so sensitive.sensitive? I don't know what waters you're from or if you are used to being dissed without being offended but that was disrespect. No we ain't used to letting that s*it go out in Cali. My thread was true story not a freakin joke fool
Of course Mexican fighters have fans outside Mexico and Mexican-Americans. I am, and have been, a fan of certain Mexican boxers. But you're crazy if you think that their built-in fanbase isn't the major reason for their popularity. Even the great Marquez wouldn't have gotten so much notoriety outside of his Mexican fanbase it wasn't for Pacquiao. Kellerman said nothing that wasn't true. Good for you brother. I may be a little crazy but what's the major reason for everyone else's popularity like Russian, Philipino, or Black fighters? Is it due to their race only backing them? I think they do good either way. And the Marquez comment, almost equal number of Mexicans are a fan of Pacs. So what's Rigos excuse? Are you telling me that Mexicans can't make it big without the Mexican people backing them, but everyone else can? MK was out of line with that sh*t as always.
Homie, Mexican fighters have a built in fan base like Brazilian soccer players.
It's their thing. It's what they do. It's what they know. No need to get politically correct on this one.Wth, it's our thing like any other sport to Mexican Americans. Most Latinos here ain't even up on boxing but you ask about USC or Raiders or Lakers and they talk your ear off. Maybe it's what they know in Mexico, but here in the states don't know if you know this but we have assimilated into society like everyone else. Politically correct? He said that s*it with an attitude toward Mexicans. You have to be a rock not to pick up on that Homie!
pac is very suspicious ,he's owning money he's dodging blood tests he's not a good bible boy..and btw why are the Mexicans so anti mayweather and pro pacquiao?? I see Muggery always hating on floyd and dick riding the pinoys on this forum..is that because he's so desperate for the green k or is he hating floyd because he destroys Mexicans way too easy? :lol1:
You're basing your opinion off one or two Members here. Do you even know in fact if they are Mexican? Or are you stereotyping and putting everyone into the "Mexican"category? Btw Mayweather has a ton of Mexican fans that root for him whether fighting a Mexican or not. Shows what you really know. The other ones just so happen to enjoy an all action fighter like Pacman over a slick elusive defensive points fighter like Mayweather. Regarding your last sentence, he'll beat anyone even other blacks. Not the story of his fight with Castillo 1or De La Hoya. But he doesn't destroy his opponents. That's an exaggeration. Now PAC, GGG, and Marquez have done a lot more destroying in their career than Mayweather.
"The brother" could've easily found it himself, and he obviously posted the question with an agenda.
Also, he dismissed the initial sources, while his own sources were Ariza and Garcia (lmfao). Obviously he couldn't find it and asked for assistance. All he had was a rumor and asked for it to be verified. The initial sources you are referring to were also plain rumors. Just because some fool posts back, "Ya, he was tested..." Don't mean it debunks the initial rumor. People just want to start yapping like a kid with schoolyard name calling on this sites forum. That sh*ts child like. Whole different story in reality face to face though.
Because he's in an entertainment sport where were the boss, for one. For two don't tell me he don't care about his image in the audience and fans eye. He wants to be known as the greatest. He is in his own mind. Well maybe the greatest defense and the greatest points fighter. He ain't a drag em out blood and guts fighter like I'm sure he wishes he was. He isn't entertaining. Most people watch him to see if he's finally going to lose. But he will do anything it takes to win. Even if he has to dope fiend on you and take a cheap shot.
An exaggeration. PAC beat him on points. Never hurt rios. Actually rios did better than I thought. He improved his boxing big time. PAC on the other hand will get his ass handed to him by provodnikov.
Worst undercard in boxing history. Leave it to bob arum. Golden boy much better under cards. No more money to top rank events. The only other entertaining fight that surprised the hell out of me was the Mexican private Pyle from full metal jacket. Homeboy lives on jelly donuts and whooped Thor. Made him quit on his stool lmfao
Wow, finally admitting it. "Its a business. It's not about working hard, but smarter. It's about taking less punishment as possible. So if my team cherry picks.."(Saved by the bell!). So forget the fans and fighting to be the best anymore. He's admitting he's selling out. But not really. Ain't no money in Amir
" King Flop" Khan. Only a few fights left and he's going out like that. Never leaving a legacy behind of fighting anyone and not ducking. Let's all go on freakin strike for Floyd's fight against another non worthy opponent.
I cant knock on zab he's my favorite moment in boxing. When he got up and told that ref what i'm guessing must have been something to the effect of "i like mickey mouse" and fell back down i've never laughed so hard.

Still cracks me up lol
That's freakin classic! The macarena
A short ode to exposed
Exposed is a word so callously thrown
And even at a champion's throne...
But it has to be known
It's a catastrophe bro
Bunch of weak boxing fans panicking though
So what if a fighter loses?
Full of cuts, bumps and bruises?
Lungs burning from punching ruthless
And if you lose then you're exposed and useless
But as a matter of fact and the simple truth is
That undefeated's are just wack and faking
And that "O" is just careful matchmaking
Simple and plain face it
Ain't that the truth. Knowledge.
Aside from pulling covers and pointing the finger about what someone did in the past, it was a great documentary. You can let something stupid someone did that wasn't any of our business anyway get in the way if you want. For me, I know no one is blameless and we all got some issues in our past unless you were a perfect mommas boy. Can't make everyone happy. I think his emotions added to the drama. It was great.
This would be perfect.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather is a little ashamed of Broner. Call Mayweather what you want, but he wouldn't be caught dead doing the things Broner has done on camera. Broner has no class at all. Complete trash.. Right right right.
