Winky Wright........Wright used his slickness, his pure boxing skill, his jab, and defence to beat Mosley comfortabley twice.
Miguel Cotto switched to using his boxing skill instead of brawling with Molsey and won a decision.
Mosley's main success come's against fighters, who stand in front of him and trade with him, and that don't have as much pure boxing ability or defence as him.
But yet at 38 years of age and with 14 months inactivety, Mosley is going to beat the best argubaly the best defensive fighter of all time? Aswell as Mayweather's incredible speed, boxing ability and more?
There is no dout in my mind that Mayweather will beat Mosley and pretty comfortable.

At this point you are talking about a WW fight with the Motor City Cobra Tommy The HitMan Hearns. Honestly I do not think Floyd could hurt Tommy at 147. Tommy would use his jab and throw blows to the body to slow Floyd down. Hie would would defintely win early rounds on work rate alone. After about 5 rounds or so Floyd would be forced to fight and need to get inside Tommy's chest. I think after about 11 rounds and remember this would be a 15 rounder Floyd would be battered and beat up to a TKO.

His last three moves have been genius IMO. He has been shaping this fight from the very begining.
1) His first come back fight he takes on JMM. People call him a cherry picker amongst other things. This was done for one reason to obtain better bargaining leverage at the negotiations table. He takes out JMM in pretty easy fashion thus eliminating a public demand for a PAC vs JMM III.
2) He demands RANDOM TESTING for the fight with PAC on 3/13. When PAC made it a bigger thing than originally intended he puts an * next to PACS name in many of the common fans eyes. Thus the only fighter who is possibly compared to him as the BEST OF THIS ERA in many people eyes may have cheated. Even if he didn't walking away from 40 million in comparision to just giving blood RAISED some eyebrows.
3) He keeps his demand for RANDOM TESTING and says he is going to use it in every fight going forward to "CLEAN UP BOXING" PAC announces a fight with Clottey anther TOP RANK promoted fighter for the 3/13 date. NO SUCH TESTING is required. People are leaning back towards PAC and a good fight Floyd is left in limbo with out a dance partner. (no pun intended)
4) 1/18/09 Berto with draws from match with Mosley for Jan 30th date. Now possible match up between Floyd and Mosley lands in Floyds lap. Whether it goes down on March 13th or May1st undecided. But he puts the demand out there for RANDOM DRUG TEST with an admitted ROID user. (whether he knew about it or not he did admit it sorry Shane) Floyd can ink this deal he goes one up on Manny and also eliminates another potential opponent for Manny post his 3/13 date and inches himself a little closer to cornering Manny and shifting momentum back to GBP and himself at the negotiations table.

IMO I think my best point was that against Paul Floyd can't be in his shoulder roll or he will get tagged. That shit don't work against Southpaws.
Against Lefties Floyd goes high guard and shoots jabs to the stomach and lead rights to the head.
Floyd has the high guard down to a tee considering he doesnt use it that much. That defense doesnt work against somebody who throws non stop punches and never gets tired. You cant peek-a-boo 100 Punches and see em all and counter. Winky has the best high guard ever IMO. He was old but he still had those arms tight and his forearms were covering his body and his gloves had his face covered. And he still got the shit beat out of him.

My nukka let me explain this you one time homie. Shane was a completely different fighter in the Margarito fight then he was in any other fight. He was using his jab effectively instead of just pushing it out there as a measuring tool. He was sticking it to Tony's chest and plex areaz. He was fighting in a rythmic pattern more like I have seen him in the past. his body work was incredible. He destroyed Tony to the body BIG TIME my nukka. Go ahead and watch that fight again if you think I am lying. If you cant see that then you are a blind bat son. to say that he was not improved and we are giving Brother Nazim too much credit is completely false. Cotto was brawling in the early rounds go ahead an watch that fight again he started using his jab and boxing in the last 4-5 rounds and Shane adjusted and started pushing him back. Cotto was forced to box because Shane was going to BODY dude with the over hand right and lefts he was landing. Cotto was sticking the jab to catch Shane off balance and Cotto has a very good jab. What you have to understand is that Cotto had not fought like that before at until then we only seen a come forward Cotto with the left to the body and head. That was the first time we saw Cotto like that this is why it was not a surprise when Cotto started off the Tony fight boxing and moving away.

Yo busy you have to understand Calzaghe needed to take more chances but he was comfortable with local celeberty status. he was making decent money to fight in his own back yard and did not need to take chances. Much like Fraud Mayfeather has been able to do for sometime now. To me Calzaghe had a very good chance of beating some of those guys you mentioned prime for prime but we will never know because of the level of competition he did or did not fight.
Anyone can see he has defensive liabilities. He isnt exactly the most tactical offensive fighter either. The point is the kid can bang, and hes got blinding speed. That alone is gonna take him pretty far.
I agree I said the kid who is 28 by the way is and has some very bad habits. The fact he is Cuban and claims he is 28 means he is probably on the other side of 30. With over 320 amature fights under his belt and 17 pro fights now I think he should learn how to keep his hands up. he did a little better against Mtagwa but like I said he was supposed to look awesome that was the idea. To me his speed and hard hitting ability will only take him so far. He will need to learn how to pick off punches and keep his right hand up. A good jab would give him all he can handle right now. A boxer puncher with a god jab might put him down early. I can see KO written all over it. I think of Guzman "Little Tyson" when I see Gamboa. Ali Funeka type fighter would be a night mare for him.
Gamboa has more talent in hes left hand then Jeff Lacy has in hes whole body.
Jeff Lacy lost his best weapon his left hook. After his shoulder went out he was never able to fire that hook the way he was. Calzaghe took his heart and the injury took his best weapon. Gamboa is going to be top notch I just see him being matched well by Arum and taken far. To me a good boxer with a jab and reach is going to make him look very bad stylistically.

Glen Johnson is a worker for sure. He does still have the hunger to be a earner. For the work he has put in and the amount of fights he has had his dough defintely aint right my dude. You understand you need to know that styles make fights and Hopkins although he is cagy and fights well on the inside Roy still has the style to beat him. He needs tp pick up his work rate. Judging from Hopkins last fight he still has the legs to move around the ring and give angles but to me you cannot look at the Green fight and use that as an example because in the Lacy fight Jones looked awesome. Again styles make fights my friend. You need to understand that for sure. One thing about boxing is you build habits and even though your abilities fade your habits the bod ones anyway are always there. jones carries his left very low and uses that up jab he don't have the reflexes to move out the way and slip like he used too. This fight is interesting because Hopkins although not known for his KO power does counter punch very well with that right hand. I can see it being a UD for Jones or a KO for Hopkins. I do not see Hopkins winning this fight on points unless Jones keeps his hands in his pockets all night because he is scared to throw like he did against Calzaghe.
