Most of the enemies of pactards have started this appreciation scheme that ask "pac fans" to give credit to Floyd for getting in the ring with Mosley. Pbf is an elite WW and meeting Mosley another elite WW. What is there to give credit for? Floyd should be doing this in the first place. I can understand giving credit to Jmm for getting in the ring with Pbf. In my opinion, we wait until Pbf beats Shane until we ask for credit.
Most of the pac fans including yours truly are very happy that this fight is almost a done deal. So please stop it. You do realize that you are merely giving "pactards" additional validation by indirectly saying that "Pbf has been ducking elite WW's so give him props now for taking Shane on".
My two cents. Peace.
You give credit where credit is due.
Yo busy you need to understand my man do you give credit to the pizz man for cutting you a slice? nah you pay him and take the slice right? do you give credit for the bus driver opening the door nah you pay your fair and slide on through. Floyd is top 3 P4P and he campaigns at 147 he is supposed to fight other elite fighters. He don't get credit for doing what he is supposed to do. By that I mean get in the ring with another elite P4P top 3 figher. This is what makes boxing great and only great fighters like Mayweather can help make boxing great again. This how it is supposed to be not what we have been getting from him. So to give him credit cause he simply did what he was supposed to do is dumb. He needs to do this on the reg to bring back boxing. No more LW's Fraud please leave the Matt Hatton's and Nate Campbell's alone. Fight Mosley if you win go after Pacquiao and Berto.

spoke like a true gentleman
Manny never asked Shane to come down to 140.
It was Shane who desperately offered to fight at 140 for that big fat payday.
Besides, he wanted to beat Cotto in the negotiations.
Roach said he would need a catchweight of 142-143 to think about fighting SSM.....Shane replied that he would go to 140 if they wanted it..............
you don't have to give him props but don't discredit Shane Mosley by saying he has been inactive, ring rust etc.....this guy is a freaking gym rat and Mayweather will only have 1 fight in 30 months on may 1st......
you don't need to give him props just don't discredit his opponent..... that is all
They are both notorious gym rats...the lay-off won't hurt either one of them.....and if it does it will be minimal..........
Cotto wanted the fight because he wanted to get paid.
Fighters are going to do whatever they can to get a fight with Pacquiao or Mayweather because they want the biggest payday of their life.
that's true, but cotto wasnt always about the money. i believe he fights anybody thats put in front of him more for legacy then money. IT WAS fair enough for team pacquiao to ask him to come down coz pacquiao was coming up.
Just because they agree on something doesn't mean it's fair. Making Oscar come down to 147 when he's fighting at 154 and his last fight at 147 was 7+ years ago fair?
How is making a past prime boxer come down to 147 fair?
Oscar vs. Manny was a fair fight, lmao.
They can both agree on something, but I don't have to agree with it and it doesn't make it fair.
slighty unfair, yes. i agree with you on THIS BOUTand i respect your opinion. agree to disagree, but it's really oscars fault for coming down and agreeing. might not be fair but its oscar to blame for coming down weight drained. and lets not forget, pacquiao was coming up in weight too from 135, a division he has never fought in before this bout.
oscar didnt need this fight, he just wanted it. manny couldve easily went to someone else to fight, but he was where the money was at and i really dont blame him for that.
The same old out of prime fighter is the #1 WW, #3 p4p, champ, most dangerous WW, and the same guy Manny ducked late last year.
Why does Manny need Mosley to come down to 140 if he's fighting at WW? Why does Manny need an old out of prime fighter to come down to 140 if he's not that good?
I'll wait for your reply.

Do you think manny made oscar move down to 147? oscar delahoya? the golden boy? think man. delahoya was the one making decisions then. not manny. what was the last weight of manny before fighting oscar?
owned? you're funny but im far from it.
i believe manny came in at 144 that night. what i was saying is that it shouldnt matter to YOU if its 147 or not. yeah pacquiao's team are the ones that asked for it and i believe its coz he was coming up in weight from 140 and that is reasonable enough for them to ask him to come down just a little bit.
pacquiao wanted this fight as bad as cotto did, so they came to an agreement. TO AN AGREEMENT, where they BOTH agreed on it. which i dont get is, YOU cant agree on it.Cotto wanted the fight because he wanted to get paid.

147 limit or not, it's just 2 pounds. pacquiao was at 140 and cotto was at 147, they came to an AGREEMENT of 145, so if you think it's ridiculous then you're ridiculous coz really, you're tryna make something out of nothing.
put your shoes in both fighters, that 2 pounds does NOT matter. i wouldnt care if youre 2 pounds heavier or lighter, i'll gladly punch your face in.If the two pounds does not matter... why did Team Pacquaio tell Cotto he had to come down to 145 if he wanted to fight Manny? We are only talking about two pounds... why make him come down to 145 if two pounds is not a big deal? Apparently it was a big deal to team Pacquiao to tell Cotto to come down to 145 or the fight was off.
How much did Manny weight during the fight?
:owned:

Why did it take so long for the fight to be made if Mosley signed the contract in a blink of an eye?
The truth is Mosley was too dangerous for Manny last year. Team Pacquiao was not going to risk their biggest payday with Floyd for a fight with Mosley before fighting Floyd first.
Shane wanted to fight Manny first, but Manny rejected his offers at 142 and 140. Manny picked Cotto because Cotto was damaged goods after his fight with Margacheato. Nobody on this site can tell me Cotto was the same fighter he was in his fight with Manny compare to his fight with Margacheato. The fight with Margacheato did more damage mentally to Cotto's mind than people think. He's not the same fighter... you can see it when he fights.
My problem with Manny asking Cotto to fight at 145 is two things... getting a fake ass diamond belt and making the champ fight at 145, when the limit is 147. People get mad at Floyd for his requests, but nobody says anything about Manny. If you want people to give you props and call you the best... let your opponent come in at 147, especially when the limit is 147. Nobody can use the excuse that Manny is too small because he has proven to the world he's a WW.
In defense to pac's team ( pac IMO don't give a **** if it is at 147 ) though, they are really wary of cotto and mosley then because they know those are the top 2WW and the delahoya fight is no gauge of pac's ability to fight elite WW's. They chose Cotto because it is much easier to make considering it is Top Rank and arguably money-wise a better option than Mosley. After the Cotto fight, they are now confident that they can take the elites head on. If they ever ask for a CW again at WW, I will no longer defend it.
Props for Floyd for fighting Shane but it did happen due to series of unfortunate events not like it was planned. Mosley signed the contract in a blink of an eye like he didn't even read it, he badly needs to fight either Floyd or Pac and lucky for him, Floyd was available. Had Pac not signed with Clottey, Shane would probably choose him since Pac and Shane fight has more meaning since they're both WW champions.
Is Manny really afraid of Shane or he opted for a younger and still a champion in Cotto? Mosley is old an it's becoming an excuse for some fans here, this is probably the main reason why they opted for Cotto since Pac has been criticized before for fighting shot fighters which I think is ridiculous.
Does 145 and 147 really made a difference for Cotto to make that repeated weight drained issue. A lot of the boxing experts said during the weigh in that he looked in tiptop shape or is it another excuse to discredit pac's achievements.

i actually do give him credits from taking this fight.. even more with mosley with all the effort he put in to land it. i give floyd credit for taking the risk of fighting one of the best, which a real champ should be doing, where his skill sets are up to par with his opponent.
with mosley, he's beast, i cant take nothing away from him. the credits are where its due and i do believe he deserves this fight more then pacquiao.
i give no credit to someone who obviously duck the best fighter in the world for an old out of prime fighter

Hmm interesting,
You speak as if you were there during the negoiations. Shane I find it hard to believe Shane would fight Pac b4 Floyd for 2 reasons.
1) PBF vs Mos has been in the making for almost 10 years.
2) He tried to fight PAC, Even offered to go down to 140! Roach and Pac passed on the deal.
Were talking bout Elite fighters here. Belts have 0 to do with who fights who. If you truely think that then you surely support Floyd for fighting Baldy instead Marg/Cotto.
