manny pacquiao has been behind Floyd since 07 and didn't even make it on the list until 03. and this is our fighter of the decade....didn't the decade start in 2000???? So yeah I'm wondering how they voted him fighter of the decade!!!

Miguel Cotto = best resume at Jr.WW and WW. Beat the likes of Malignaggi, Judah, Corley, Clottey, Quintana, and most of all Shane Mosley.
Miguel Cotto is the fighter of the decade, better than both Floyd "the duck" Mayweather and Manny "catchweight" Pacquiao.

i can't believe this is even argued.
every respectable boxing writer, websites, magazines, analysts etc. has manny fighter of the decade.
floyd isn't fighter of the decade. get over it
Yes, both sides of the argument. Just worry about who they fight next.

Floyd fought champions throughout the whole decade: Corrales, Hernandez, Chavez, Castillo, Gatti, Judah, baldomir, De la Hoya, hatton, and JMM. all champions who got beat by Floyd.
manny took 3 yrs off and gaps in between....how is he the fighter of the decade?
LOL you sounds BITTER don't eat to much bittergourd please. hahahaha
http://www.lionseeds.com/wp-content/BG4710_02.jpg
again that is only based on low expectations. would Floyd not whoop them boys too??? matter of fact Floyd doesn't lose or draw with any of pacquiao's competition unlike pacquiao!
Low expectation? I do not think Top Rank or Golden Boy would fight over him if they have low expections. It simply does not make sense. It was simply because of the risks that he had to take that people expected a loss in some of his fights.
All I see is a lot of repetitive posts blabbing about man, former man, etc, and completely ignoring the quality of the fighters, excitement of the fights, etc.
The fact is, Manny Pacquiao won 2006 FOTY by a landslide vote. Try not to lose any sleep over it.
Lose sleep over what??? I wasnt discussing boxing with you, You replied to my post and try to enforce your opinion on me, I gave an honest unbiase and my own opinion on the subject to another poster, You didnt like my reply to the other poster and it seem it bugs you enough to reply to my post and now you're telling me not to lose sleep over it???
Again am not ignoring anything about excitement or quality when i decide 2006 between those two fighter, Its my opinion not yours not the people who gave Pac the FOTY for 2006 but my opinion.
Whats that got to do with anything??? If you read all my previous post you would see where i said Mayweather beat the former man and the man at 147, Which means he beat Judah (Former man) and Baldomir (The man)...

You do realize that Judah was COMING OFF A LOSS TO Baldomir?
Because you obviously didn't read my post.
Perhaps if I bolded it for you.

Respected analysts/writers/pundits > hurt Floyd fans on an internet messageboard
hahaha i love reading flomos reply. flomos couldn't accept that floyd was only a nominee, i hope they could sleep well at night. hahahaha
Each to his own, Mayweather's win over Judah and Baldomir ticks it for me over Morales who lost to Raheem before he lost to Pac and a super bamtamweight in larios, Am not giving credit or taking it away from either fighter, Am applying simple facts and that for me carries the vote IMO.

Yet he made it in his next two fights?
He was contracted to make it against Pac and we all saw how he looked at both weigh ins, Did Morales fight at 130 after that??? No....
I just don't get guys that try to give Floyd full credit for beating Judah, coming off a decisive loss to a glorified journeyman. But then turn around and give Pac zero credit for beating a much better fighter, Erik Morales, just because he was coming off a loss at a weight that he'd never fought.
Pac's two wins over Morales that year trump Judah and Baldomir, the Larios win is just gravy.
