I have no dout, that Floyd Mayweather will beat Mosley by a comfortable UD. Look at Mosley's track records against good pure boxers with good boxing brains.....
Vernon Forrest....Beaten twice, both times rather easily. Due to Forrest using his boxing skills and brain.
Winky Wright........Wright used his slickness, his pure boxing skill, his jab, and defence to beat Mosley comfortabley twice.
Miguel Cotto switched to using his boxing skill instead of brawling with Molsey and won a decision.
Mosley's main success come's against fighters, who stand in front of him and trade with him, and that don't have as much pure boxing ability or defence as him.
But yet at 38 years of age and with 14 months inactivety, Mosley is going to beat the best argubaly the best defensive fighter of all time? Aswell as Mayweather's incredible speed, boxing ability and more?
There is no dout in my mind that Mayweather will beat Mosley and pretty comfortable.

This is likely the main reason why Mayweather will beat Mosley but I'm still going to be pulling for the SUGAR MAN! WAR SHANE!!!!
mosley having trouble with boxers is most likely true, but who has floyd fought that had a dependable jab and boxing skills (with the exception of a washed up DLH). Zab Judah had the physical tools but the heart of a 5 year old girl. Damn near every top fighter that walks him down and weathers the early storm whips his ass. Marquez, although relatively skillful was too small and slow.
Corrales, Castillo, Gatti, Hatton et al. are primarily blood and guts fighters. As a highly skilled counter puncher their fighting styles accentuate floyd's strengths.
Floyd will pick him apart after the 3rd-4th round. SSM better go for a knockout in the first few rounds because Floyd is going to make adjustments around the 3rd round.
Floyd by UD.
i think Floyd will take Mosley. I rewatched Mosley/margarito recently, and Mosley still looked a bit old. Margarito was taylor made just going straight forward while Mosley waited and pounced on him. With an additional year off, I bet he'll look rusty.
Its still gonna be a snooze fest with floyd doing alot of backpedaling. I doubt we'll see floyd try to fight in the pocket or even go toe to toe with Mosley.
I expect floyd boxing the safest fight, with both boxers looking clean without a sweat in the 12th, and the fans will be left with a frusratated "wtf" look.
This is for the most part accurate, except for the part about Floyd beating Cotto,or Floyd beating any of the guys that beat Mosley for that matter!!The simple truth is that we don't know who Floyd can beat if he never fought them period!!
Mosley has been beaten by Forrest because of what U stated size, long jab & so forth!!Winky is & was too big for any welterweight, period!!Cotto boxed & punched his way to a close win!!But what all those guys have that Floyd lack's is genuine size & power!!Plus Floyd doesn't stick the jab out their with authority!!Mosley uses his strength when he fights,he'll rough Floyd up,bully him & wrestle him all the while firing fast combinations!!No one should say Mosley can't bounce around & use his feet,he's quite athletic!!He'll catch up to Floyd & hurt him!!If Hatton can rough up Floyd & make him uncomfortable, theres no reason to believe Shane can't do it & much better too!!Floyd has 1 fight in 3 years & that was against a fat lightweight,Mosley is a muthafvcking beast!!
The bold is complete bullshit
Here is my take on this.
Vernon Forrest was bigger and just knew how to beat Shane Mosley. He did it in the amateurs and he did it in the pros. That was just a style thing. Shane went on to knock out Ricardo Mayorga who knocked out Forrest, reinforcing that styles make fights.
Winky Wright was just bigger and stronger then Shane. He pretty much pushed Shane around the ring. It wasn't that he using movement and outboxing him. Mosley did better in the rematch but he just wasn't strong enough for Wright.
Miguel Cotto pretty much fought Shane even up. He outboxed Shane a little here and there, but he lost 3 of the last 4 rounds. No problem with Cotto getting the decision, but it was a very close fight. Heck they landed the same amount of punches.
Ask yourself these questions. Does a 5'8" Floyd Mayweather beat a prime Winky Wright at 154 and or does he beat a prime 6' Vernon Forrest at 147. I think the answer is no. I think Floyd would beat Cotto, but it would have been a close competitive decison.
In the fight I would make Floyd a 2 to 1 favorite just based on youth and he his a little more skilled then Shane. But Shane is a live dog. He is stronger, the harder puncher, and he is determined to do well. On paper this is Floyd's toughest fight.

You have a point but both Winky and Forrest where bigger and Cotto switched on him it threw him off.Plus those guys where not afraid of getting hit by Mosley!!!
