I mean, hes a great trainer and surely an improvement in the corner from his daddy. But seeing again how Shane fought Margarito, i see nothing different from when he fought Vargas. I believe Shane just knows how to fight certain fighters, especially those who come forward plodding away, have a slow jab, flat footed and fight from the front foot.
He didnt execute that well against Cotto because he expected a brawling Cotto, and found a quick jabbing Cotto...that also maybe wasnt his best night.

alot of people didnt even give mosley a chance to even win the fight!!! i was lost for words when i saw that fight live espically when i saw him knock margarito out i was like WOWWWWW!!

Nazim richardson,Freddie Roach, whoever trains Mayweather jr are all the best in the Boxing Buisness IMO
Naazim is not underrated, more like under appreciated!!The B-hop-Calazghe fight is not a good example of Naazim looking bad,the fight was close, but there,B-hop's style has always been to slow the fight down!!Calzaghe by nature is a pure volume puncher!!He simply continued his volume to a close win!!
Against Margarito, that was a perfect stategy for fighting him!!Shane traded then held & pivoted & slugged some more, don't act like anyone expected Mosley to dominate, don't do that!!Regardless of how anyone feels, the fact is Floyd was offered a fight against Margarito, who called him out to his face man!!So there is not a fact that Floyd could really beat Margarito!!I know Floyd has stayed away from welterweights 2 biggest pure pressure fighters for a reason!!Mosley has the size & stamina to apply serious pressure on Floyd, that's why Floyd was hesitant!!Naazim is not overrated & not even a Floyd fan has the right to discredit him just because you support Floyd!!
Once again, Richardson did not train Hopkins for the Calzaghe fight. That was all Freddie Roach.

My nukka let me explain this you one time homie. Shane was a completely different fighter in the Margarito fight then he was in any other fight. He was using his jab effectively instead of just pushing it out there as a measuring tool. He was sticking it to Tony's chest and plex areaz. He was fighting in a rythmic pattern more like I have seen him in the past. his body work was incredible. He destroyed Tony to the body BIG TIME my nukka. Go ahead and watch that fight again if you think I am lying. If you cant see that then you are a blind bat son. to say that he was not improved and we are giving Brother Nazim too much credit is completely false. Cotto was brawling in the early rounds go ahead an watch that fight again he started using his jab and boxing in the last 4-5 rounds and Shane adjusted and started pushing him back. Cotto was forced to box because Shane was going to BODY dude with the over hand right and lefts he was landing. Cotto was sticking the jab to catch Shane off balance and Cotto has a very good jab. What you have to understand is that Cotto had not fought like that before at until then we only seen a come forward Cotto with the left to the body and head. That was the first time we saw Cotto like that this is why it was not a surprise when Cotto started off the Tony fight boxing and moving away.

I don't think Nazim can get too much credit at the moment as he's a fantastic tactician and motivator - quite possibly the best around at the moment - however I do think his significance in the forthcoming Mosley fight may be being overstated.
He's a great asset but won't be nearly enough to beat Floyd. If Mosley does manage to pull off the win it will be primarily down to Mosley's perseverance on the night as I don't think him, Nasim and anyone else they consult can collectively out-manouvre Floyd.
agree... Nazim is a very underrated trainer though

his timing with margarito was very impressive... he just kept doing the same thing that fight and there was nothing margarito could do... I was a lil disappointed in marges corner because they never changed up and marge kept walking into those right hooks all damn night

with gems like "swim without getting wet" how can we not. :boxing:
Naazim couldnt give Benard a plan to beat Calzaghe.believe me Andre Ward would have whooped Joe's ass any day.Naazim is good but when things are not going well the way they will against Mayweather I cant see him changing the gameplan.Margarito was made to order and yes we are giving Naaz too much credit
Naazim didn't train Hopkins for the Joe Calzaghe. That was all Freddie Roach! Naazim was recovering from a stroke.

in the post fight interview Shane Mosley even said himself he and Nazeem Richardson conjured up the gameplan to beat Margarito....so no, Nazeem Richardson deserves credit....he also deserves credit for busting the criminal Plastercheato
ok but surely after the fight he cant say no wrong about his trainer ...as he won....
sure Naz deserves credit for the plaster affair, point taken. But his style in the fight...that was all Mosley IMO
IDK, he may didnt fight no different than the Vargas fight but maybe that still was just the design. If he had to fight a different style that night, maybe he couldve done it. We will never know because he turned down the Cotto rematch. Im sure he regrets that move now. I think Nazim is the real deal. I think without him Floyd would kill Shane but he changes everything. With that being said, once you start losing then you will revert back to your old ways though. I actually think that he wouldve beaten Cotto the 1st time with Naz and couldve lost to Margarito without him but thats just me. Its hard to tell

I agree.
98% of the boxing world BUY the Margarito WIN. Marg is slow as SNAIL doesnt have the Jab. Mosley punches like a mule and if the target is a Marg a KO victory is very likely which what happened.
FLOYD via UD but still Shane has a chance. one GOOD shot can chance an entire fight.
