yeahhh, I think hes overrated. Everyone always talks about how he can take a hit blah blah blah, but hes been inactive for like a year and the last time he fought he lost to like a 42 year old guy. True he fought shane twice but I still don't like him all that much. Hes also crazy boring to watch lol.

a good fighter should be able to fight with any brand gloves. RJJ wanted to use his Grants for the Trinidad fight and got screwed out of using them, but he didn't put up too much of a fuss, he used the everlast and won. There are more important things than the brand of gloves for a fighter to worry about IMO, like getting KTFO. I'm gonna give the decision to Katsidis just because I think after the Casaymour (spelling) hes going to be more determined than ever.
boxing's death isn't do to people not wanting to watch it, its due to disorganization. I love boxing, but there is probably not other profesional sport as poorly managed and disorganized. What boxing needs is a central governing body that also serves as a promoter. The creation of multiple governing bodies comes from the demand for revenue, and they all want it. Boxing needs something like the MLB, or the NBA, where the promoting and sanctioning come together as one. Only then will boxing be as popular as it used to be.

To me Cintron doesn't seem like a serious, focused fighter, he just doesn't want it enough. I don't remember much from the fight, but what I do remember is that he didn't listen to Manny. Hes a stubborn unfocused fighter who could have gone much further had he just concentrated more and worked harder.
I don't buy fights, I just goto a local sports bar that's a 3 minute walk from my house, and the owner is a big boxing fan. So he puts on boxing PPV's over UFC's.
Anyway I go there virtually for all PPV fights and spend roughly $30-50 a night getting absolutely tanked,.

Miguel Cotto doesnt "duck" fighters, he has no reason to. Hes undefeated and is among, if not the most elite at 147, he doesnt need to fight the winner of cintron/migrato to prove anything hes already proven himself enough, now its time to give him mayweather, if mayweather stops "ducking" him. Hes beat mosley, judah, malginaggi, quintana, etc..., he shouldn't have to take fights with guys half his caliber, hes gonna fight mayweather, and when he does hes gonna win. end of story.

Idk, I agree with manny on some stuff but I do think its bullshit that they have to give cotto this bum Gomez just to hold him off till mayweather. People make a big fuss that he beat an old out of shape arturo gatti, but the fact that cotto should have to settle with someone who doesnt even deserve to be in the same ring as him is bs.
paulie is one of the best BOXERS at 140 today...hes got blinding speed and lighting fast reflexes. His only problem is he lacks power, like everyone has said, but none the less hes very entertaining to watch. His fight w/cotto is one of my personal favorites, paulie took a severe beating that night and IMO is the toughest fighter in the game today.
No fight "should" be on PPV. lol But I think this fight can sell and will be PPV. I think:ugh:
