Hey just wanted to get your guys opinion on the guy, or at least what you think of him, I doubted him for a long time, but after he fought cotto, i realized he was a legit super welterweight.... gotta give him credit, he went the full rounds with cotto, and gave one heck of a fight too, i like almost all fighters that come out of Gleason's Gym, but let me know what you guys think...
I'm glad to see people starting to warm up to Paulie, he's one of my fav fighters & his fight verse Cotto is making him look better and better, since Gomez & Quintana got beat down by Cotto. I wish the best for Paulie and cant' wait for him to fight Hatton.
I don't doubt his natural talent. I doubt his overall makeup. I was very unimpressed with him in his last fight. And he's already shown he's not at the very top of the game against Cotto. There's too many *****s in his armour and he's seemingly too arrogant to address them.
Gifted fighter, a B-. He has a lot of faults opponents can capitalise on, and he will have no longevity. In two years we wont be talking about him. But he does have good attributes like handspeed and movement.
I totally disagree. He's one of the best "Pure boxers" in the division, with natural talent. and for the record, myself and casual boxing fans alike, would agree that he is probably between a B/B+ level fighter.

Paulie's great...top 5 jr. Welter, imo. I had hoped he would face off against Kendall Holt or Francisco Figueroa, both big fights in the NY area, but bigger money and top exposure greets him with the Hatton fight. I think it's gonna be a good fight overall and Paulie's got his hands full with this one. It will be competitive but I think Hattons wins a close UD.
He's too good to have his biggest win be a moral victory of survivin 12 rds in a fight he lost, so I'm glad he picked up a belt. He's a damn good boxer who could trouble anyone at 140 but maybe not as good as some people think.
paulie is one of the best BOXERS at 140 today...hes got blinding speed and lighting fast reflexes. His only problem is he lacks power, like everyone has said, but none the less hes very entertaining to watch. His fight w/cotto is one of my personal favorites, paulie took a severe beating that night and IMO is the toughest fighter in the game today.
paulie is smaller and has no KO power..hatton will take this one..it wont go 12 rounds..win or loose...
i want it to happen now...
i got 50$ on hatton that it wont go 12 rnds..
If Paulie had some power he'd be dangerous. I have grown to like Paulie a bit, he has everything except devastating punches.
How the hell does Paulie have no power!?!?!
For pete's sake he would decapitate Wlad; a heavyweight!

i was hoping hatton would fight paulie...seriously...
thats the plan son. they've already agreed to fight each other hence paulie being on the undercard of Hatton/Lascano
Good fighter, shame he couldn't hurt a fly though. He's tougher than he looks and he's supposed to be one of the nicest guys in boxing when the cameras are not on him.
there is no denying the kid has skill. i do believe it is his hand injury that has hurt his career and is the reason for his low KO percentage. his diss game is on point too. i also like his analyses of fight and fighters.
He's very honest about his take of fights/fighters. And his mic skills are definitely underrated. Nonetheless, the hand DOES bother him. If he had even a BIT more power and stronger hands, he'd be insane.

Paulie with no hand injuries is an awesome fighter to watch!
