no, The issue is .. HOW THE HELL DID FURY BECOME SUCH A DEVASTATING PUNCHER ALL OF A SUDDEN! And if you say you've EVER seen gloves flap around or being worn the way Fury wore his, YOU'RE A D*** L**R! That is all. Go.
I think Taylor will win tis fight again.
Hopkins can start early on, but who's to say he aint gonna get tagged? Taylor hits hard and if he connects clean, I doubt Hopkins last.
Taylor already felt Hopkins power and knows he can take them. But seriously, DID HOPKINS really taste Taylor's best punch? I don't think so. Taylor will fight a smarta fight tis time around.
I think Taylor will win but he ain't got nothin that will overly impress Hopkins. He'll win cause he's young and Hopkins is old.
I'll give you my impressions. I just saw him fight Bostice last week. He's an undersized heavy who has good boxing skills but nothing that will amaze real boxing fans. I liken him to Guinn in style and prospects in the division. He's too small and has an ordinary punch. He landed some clean bombs on Bostice and couldn't get him outta there.
He's not a bum, don't get me wrong and just may make a bit of noise before he's done but he ain't gonna set boxing on it's ear or anything. Just my opinion.
He won the first one...he will win the rematch also.
Seriously ... why do you say that? He won 4 rds. That ain't enough to win a 12 rd fight. You think he should have been awarded the win for fightin 4 rds?
C'mon man.
damn, no Hopkins haters/Taylor fans yet?
Shit, au contraire mon ami ... I love that wily old bastard but it's hard to pick him to win based on LOVE. Fuck that. On his performances and his last few he looked fairly shyte-t. He didn't fight for 8 of the 12 rounds and I don't think any vet would willingly CHOOSE that. He's lost something ... stamina, confidence, heart ... whatever. Somehting's not right.
I'm pickin Taylor this time.
But pulling for Hopkins ... ALL THE WAY!!! :boxing: *please God; fitty bux ... make those muhfukkas fight goddamnit!!!*
Yeh, he'll be in the Hall. Let me just say that of course he's accomplished more than Taylor ever will and I pulled for him the first time and tonite ... but I ain't lettin his nuts blind me to the facts. He gave away the first fight; you cna't blame that shit on a judges' scoring one round. He didn't fight.
Taylor will win ... the only thing I'm hoping for is a damn good fight this time instead of a tactical snoozer like last time.
I bought it. It can be a great fight if Bernard participate the first half unlike last time. That'll force Taylor to fight him off and make for a great fight. Taylor will never approach Hopkins accomplishments but right now he is slightly more capable than Hopkins. Hell, BHop's experience is what lost it for him the last time! He was getting accustomed to winning while fighting in spots and Taylor didn't give him many spots early. This time he better make his own damn spots. He won't get the benefit of the doubt from the judges, as they've gotten along fine without him as middleweight king, and he shouldn't get any help.
WTF was he thinking, waiting that long to go for it?
If you can, get your hands on Jack Dempsey's instructional book (I don't recall what it's called), it's a very informative read.
I'm not just nuhuggin here. Really, it's a good book.
I have one ... "fightin tough" or somethin like that. I don't think it's the one you're talkin about. It's kinda pricey, right?
I'll double check the one I've got. It's pretty thin and not that impressive to me.
I was thinkin more along the lines of videos/dvd's. Weldon, House, Pac's trainer(I know ... my brain's fried ... I can see that fucker clear as day but can't come up with his name right now.) FREDDIE ROACH, G-D IT!
Anyways, if anyone has seen one and feels strongly about it I'm listening. Please, don't just google "boxing" on amazon.com. I am interested in you guy's impressions if you have any. Not the producers of those instructionals or their buddies thinly veiled sales pitches.
I don't think many people recognized Vitali in ta first place anyway. He dint really make a big noise in ta heavyweight division, hugely becuz he's wasted time, wasting otha peoples' time. A true champ seeks out challenges and Vitali really neva did. He and his team picked opponents that they could beat. Vitali is a decent fighta and should be remembered as that!
Yep.
But of course as time goes by he'll be romaticized and immortalized as some type of beast who had to chase down his opponents to get anyone to face him ... instead of it being the other way around.
He's a fukkin journeyman ... when he had the chance to take control of the division his heart and competitive spirit deserted him. He made some money. Good for him. Now, maybe we can make some progress to arranging fights that fuckin matter in the heavyweight division now that he's outta the way.
Best thing that could have happened to him. He retired with only a few losses, beaucoup ko's and a hella ko percentage. He had a portion of the title and didn't go out getting his ass beat by some younger but not nearly talented fighter ... like he did to Lennox ..
... oops ...
... i meant, almost did to Lennox.
Fuck Vit ... paybacks a bitch and Life always collects it's debts!
I see some people picking Sanchez by KO; no way that'd happen again without something similar to the swelling of Gomez' eyes again.
Sanchez might get a decision, but no KO.
To me, I considered Wilfredo Gomez a perfect fighter prior to losing to Sanchez. I thought he'd win but Sanchez' legacy up til that point was one of always coming out on top too!
Since his passing, that legacy has become permanent ... hard to pick Wilfredo to beat him based on precedent, the results of their first meeting and the fact that Gomez was moving up in weight to meet him.
Wilfredo was a beautiful KO'ing machine though. A smooth Puncher.
You don't see that too often.
Shit about that red karma! Who the fuck cares?! Give me more if you want asshole! I'LL ONLY STOP WHEN YOU STOP PUTTING JMM NONSENSE ALL OVER THE BOARD UNDERSTAND?!
AND IF YOU CAN'T SAY IT WELL IN ENGLISH, THEN SAY NOTHING MOTHERFUCKER! JUST SPEAK MEXICAN!er, Spanish bro.
Yeh sounds good but lets see how he looks any one can go on a diet and make weight even very old men, and even if he looks aewsome for his age so what he'll be more shot than sandy saddler
Yeah but he put the smack down on a guy outweighing him by at least 13 pounds and years. Pretty nice, though I don't support his comeback.
He's damn good but it's possible he's a tad over-rated. I mean, he doesn't really have power but he does punch sharply. I think that if he moves up much more he'll really have problems. He's not the physically strongest dude in the division or even the one he just left.
