Sounds like some excuses. Champions don't make excuses, they overcome adversity to win. Simple as that.
Thats very true, real champions do everything in their power to win and they are so focused that shit that doesnt matter.
tyson was not focused when douglas
beat him. he was not trained well
because he didnt have rooney in
his corner.

How do change this freaking title. I know freaking VAJINAL MOUTH Dirt to the E or maybe that hideous McKAy did this crap because they can't stand the way I smack them
my avatar expression says it all i'm truly shocked!!!!!
Why so defensive it says in your title your mad for the cock and i did actually agree with you about the old timers mentality post, prob too much jizz in your eye - did you read my post correctly
To stay on topic for a moment, Mayweather is not over-rated, I think he's under-rated. He looked great against Gatti, but Gatti's style was made for Mayweather. If he has the fight with Judah, it'll be a better fight to decide, but as of now, I think he's better then we think.
Now as far as Marciano goes, he's a top 10 heavyweight easily. 49-0 is hard to do, regardless of the time period. Sure some of his fights were against bums, but to do what he did is absolutely amazing.
For someone who thinks Tyson was the all-time best, you need a reality check. Marciano beat EVERYONE in his way, Tyson couldn't get past Buster Douglas (in Tyson's prime) or Kevin McBride. Shut up and sit down.

oh yeah 49 wins wow what a fucking great accomplishment fighting bums. and od you think we would be saying shit if we hadnt seen him. ive seen him and im calling it like i see it, and he fucking sucks as far as skill goes.
I agree. 49 wins against
old men and tomato cans.
i agree with everything you said. who the fuck said marciano was great offensive and defensive? he has the worse defense ever along with mayorga. he got hit way to much by nothing fighters. his accuracy, speed, and defense was absolutely horrible. he had power but that is it. because basically all white fighters suck and he was somehwat good he was much better than other white fighters therefore people think hes better than he really is.
Good god I thought I ripped on Marciano. Marciano is at least a top twelve hevyweight. I think he would have given Louis trouble in Louis's prime. I agree he is overratted but not because he lacked skill its because he was at his best under 190 pounds and never fought anyone with the combination of size, skill and power. In today game Marciano could not even fight as a heavyweight. Vassiliy Jirov makes him look small. He would be a cruiserweight but he would be a great cruiserweight and if he had the right matchup he could beat some of todays heavyweight champs. Marciano had it all. He was fast, had a great short right, he could take a punch, and he had heart but a boxer who knew how to use his height like Lewis or a big bruiser like Foreman would have given him hell.
My point exactly :) Some people are already calling him one of the top 5 p4p fighters ever.
Whats wrong with that? He is not going to go back to junior lightweight. So if you ask who is the best junior lightweight ever why shouldnt Mayweahther get some consideration? People were saying the same about Duran and Mosley when they moved up to welterweight and both of them had their share of defeats afterwards but its hard to name five lightweights in the history of the class that would beat Duran and Mosley.
You're right ... he was a great fighter.
It's pretty funny that in the year 2005 some guys on an internet forum would try to diminish the career of Rocky Marciano. He was perceived during, immediately afterwards and over the decades since he retired as an all-timer who beat everyone who stood in front of him yet you try to put him in the same class as Scott Ledoux and John Ruiz?
I bet you consider Lennox Lewis an all-timer and he couldn't win 49 in a row without losing to two "not ready for prime time fighters" like McCall ... FUCKING McCall! ... and Rahman noodle.
Please man, I guess you're a better judge than all the experts of the age when he was fighting and most of the experts of today. He was one dimensional ... but what a damn dimension he possessesed! He was a winner with a huge heart and desire that 99 percent of the men who've ever lived did not possess ... including you.
Don't embarass yourself any further or attempt to denigrate a fighter's accomplishments who's records have yet to be equalled over the century long span of a tough sport like professional boxing.

there are some good white
fighters but Marciano is not
one of them.
