Vitali is nothing. His boxing skillz sucked. He can't throw a jab. He looks really awkward. He can't chop ta trunk. Can't throw any otha punch aside from a straight right. Man, tis guy was overly ovahyped and rated!
I woulden't put him in the top 10 heavyweights of all time, not even in the top 20.
uh no shit, Sherlock. you don't put a guy like Vitali in the top 30
He will only be remembered if he comes back and wins another title or two or three. If not, then he may be remembered as just a question mark, a possible "could have been" but nothing great.
WISHFUL THINKING. Who are you really? Wladimir?
vitali who. oh vitali bitchko i know him he is suckh a waste product. who cares about heavyweights anyway. only james toney witch will be unified champ next year
Vitali has given us nothing memorable as a Champ.
So, he will be remembered all right, as ....
1. The guy that had a chance to bring in a New Era of Heavyweights, by beating Lewis, but he'd didn't.
2. The guy that supposedly "retired" Lewis. But, how fucked up is that? Lewis at least went-out fighting, while Vitali is retiring without fighting anybody!
3. The guy who defended his title once before retiring.
4. The guy that beat-up the guy's that beat-up his brother.
5. The guy that handed the Heavyweight division back to Don King.
I don't think many people recognized Vitali in ta first place anyway. He dint really make a big noise in ta heavyweight division, hugely becuz he's wasted time, wasting otha peoples' time. A true champ seeks out challenges and Vitali really neva did. He and his team picked opponents that they could beat. Vitali is a decent fighta and should be remembered as that!
Yep.
But of course as time goes by he'll be romaticized and immortalized as some type of beast who had to chase down his opponents to get anyone to face him ... instead of it being the other way around.
He's a fukkin journeyman ... when he had the chance to take control of the division his heart and competitive spirit deserted him. He made some money. Good for him. Now, maybe we can make some progress to arranging fights that fuckin matter in the heavyweight division now that he's outta the way.
No shit he will be remeberd. Over the period of 3 or so years half of the threads on this forum are about him, hate or love...
Dont know what he will be remeberd for but he definetly will be.
I herrd dat... keep preachin da troof.

derrenged, he's had belts before getting that wbc belt.
it sucks his body let him down like that, he had a hell of a lot of potential still left in him.
hmm
He'll be remembered for his awkward style and ability to brutalize people, and mainly for his fight with Lennox Lewis. But, he'll also be remembered for injuries and what could have been since he chose to retire instead of wasting everyone's time and waiting half a year to fight again.
Good for Vitali. He knows his body and he made the right decision.
i'd remember him as the most dominant champ of his time outside of lennox lewis.
his retiring, as he says, could be a product of "his body is betraying him."
i wish him the best. if we're lucky enough, we might see him back in the ring when he is healed and the motivation gets to be too much.
