I feel bad saying this but Hearns should continue to fight and so should Holyfield....My reasoning for this before I get bad Karma from everyone is that how come boxing doesnt have Corporate sponsorshipm, no retirement funds, no medical insurance and just plain no damn benefits. Until boxing establishes something like that fighters young and old who should not be fighting anymore/anyway are going to continue fighting regardless. So as much as I dislike seeing the "Hitman" and the "Real Deal" continue fighting I say they have to and unfortunately I see them both getting injured and nothing coming out of it, it's as simple as that. Also how can you tell a fighter who is in great physical condition not talking about being alittle over weight or punch drunk, I'm talking a boxer who passes all the physicals that are given to him that he can no longer box because he is too old, take Foreman for example he made the problem in a since what it is today by becoming champion at 40+ years old, why cant other fighters do it? But too all fighters that do continue past their time Good luck and God Bless!

He has given enough!!! Thomas Hearns is my favorite fighter ever. But he is no longer the same Thomas Hearns. He has the potential to still fight if he is not matched with anybody good. Let me ask? He should've definitly stayed retired. Is it just me or is he already speaking slower and showing a lot of signs that won't indicate anything good? Now I really like Tommy and he's one of my all time favourites but he was never known for being the smartest guy around. They should protect him from himself and take away his license. i was at the fight, and he only looked good in comparison to the man he fought. any expectation that he would beat a top level fighter is completely unwarranted. hearns is my all time favorite fighter, and the fact that hes my hometown boy is only the half of it. but if you watched the NBA finals and saw the shots of Tommy sitting in the crowd you can tell that he is well past prime physical shape, he looked like he wieghed 210. that being said, so long as he doesent try to fight anyone good i dont mind seeing him fight, at least its something i can go watch.

I love Thomas Hearns....(not in a gay way) He is my boxing idol and hero.. I'm moving to Detroit in less then a year just so I can train where he trained, and when I'm there, you will see me at his fights.. I think if he makes a successful comeback which he will and keep bein successful then I think he should get a title shot in the Joe Louis Arena..
