Never heard of him. Is he a good helmet basher?

Liston was possibly the most feared fighter in history. I'm not one to think that every fight that doesn't happen is a matter of fear, but to say that no professionals out there have any fear in them is simply not the case.
With that said, I respect anyone who gets into the ring. Having fear doesn't make someone a coward.
He's a good fighter, but he needs to leave UFC and try boxing out if he's that confident he can beat Wlad. He's right about Wlad playing it safe and kind of boring, at least next to Tyson he is.
And yet... Wlad has a higher KO ratio than Tyson's one-dimensional boring a** did. Klitschko's only boring to people who can't understand the finer points of the game.
Boxing easily. It is a global sport.
Most popular in the States? probably those padded nancys.
Quiet, you idiot. Ray Lewis would put you in the morgue just by breathing on you.
The best VK probably but not conclusively beats LL, that's where the evidence points... FACT!
Yeah, there's real strong evidence.

I agree with this except that hed get starched by most atg heavies. his chin is granite but no way is here even near top 10
His chin has never really been tested. He's faced some big punchers, but he's never faced someone who can put big shots together in combinations.
Vitali's Legacy:
Second best heavyweight in the worst heavyweight era in history.
Top 20-25 HW all time.
Solid chin and good power, always came in in shape.
Would get starched by most ATG heavies.
Nothing more, really.
with this resume I think you are being extremely generous to the point where I want you to come to my house on christmas instead of santa Claus.

It is, indeed, a who's who of bums, old men, and fatties.
I tend to factor ability in a great deal when ranking fighters and I think that Vitali would probably be a top 25 heavyweight if every HW in history were competing at the same time.
What makes you confident that any of Vitali's opponents couldn't give any other ATG's opponents a fight?
Exactly, you wouldn't know this. Speculation.
The only fighter on Vitali's list of opponents who could compete with ATG heavyweights is Lennox.
No man who has ever stepped into a boxing ring is a coward.
With that said, I don't think Joe Frazier would have given up during a world title fight because of an injured pinky toe.
Pacquiao getting the decision in his third fight with Marquez was "lucky".
Pacquiao lunging in and getting caught with a perfectly-timed punch is not "lucky".
No.
I'm not a fanboy of either fighter. Mayweather's accomplished more, has a better resume, and is a more skilled fighter.
Both are top 50 P4P all time in my book, but Floyd ranks just a little higher IMO.
And as for the whole "who ducked who" thing... I am convinced that neither man REALLY wanted to get in the ring with the other man. Both were a threat to the other, and neither one was really anxious to put their legacy on the line to see who was better.
Just another example of how much boxing has fallen from the "old days".
But, as someone said before, lineal is supposed to be about beating the man. Wlad didn't beat the man. He beat some men but not THE MAN. He beat a long list of ranked challengers and alphabet belt holders, but never anyone with a legitamte claim to be the best in the world.
Wlad is clearly the best heavyweight of his generation, but does that automatically mean be is lineal champ?
If one is of the opinion that somebody has to be the lineal champ at all times, then it's definitely Wlad.
Otherwise, I think it's very reasonable to say that the lineal championship is vacant.
The Ring Title is often cited as the lineal championship. Whether that's of any value is open to speculation.
As time goes on and more and more sanctioning bodies rise to power, the title of "lineal champion" will become obsolete, I'm afraid.
For the record, Gene Tunney was the first man to retire while holding the HW crown under Marquis of Queensbury rules. Technically, everyone after him could be considered a paper champion.
Everyone knows if you are the champion you have to get beat convincingly and vica-versa, it's not the same if no title is in play.
The last time I checked, to beat the champion you have to win by at least one point on two of the scorecards.
This poll could have just been an age poll.
Everyone who has only been watching boxing for a few years is picking Pacquiao. Those of us who have watched for a longer time pick Whitaker.
Whitaker above all the guys on the list, and it's not even close.
Lopez is right up there with Pernell, and maybe slightly ahead of him.
LOL at DLH being on the list. Borderline all-time great at best.
Interesting, but to suggest that something like this should have a role in scoring fights is ludicrous.
A punch from one fighter might have 100 units of force, and barely bother a fighter with a good chin. Yet a punch with 50 units of force may leave a glass-jawed fighter stunned and staggered.
