As topic says, who was the fastest big heavyweight of all time? Talking handspeed.
Let's say 230lbs + and 6'3+ though it's not set in stone.
Mike Tyson is a small hw. V Klitschko is a very big hw.
why is Wlad being mentioned, he is slow as fcuk.
oh i get this thread, the usual suspects who think their freak who fights midgets, fatties and near fortysomethings and still loses is an ATG.
Wlad, hands down.
Haye was very quick, and Wlad kept up with him without much ado.
If anything that Haye fight showed just how slow Wlad was, he only landed 126/509 shots, 105 of them jabs. How many actual HW's with head movement has Wlad actually fought aside of Haye?
Not that many.
There's always been huge men in boxing but few have been successful. That's why i admire the Klitschkos success even in this pisspoor excuse of a division.
In short, i don't buy klitschkos success = because they have a size "advantage".
no it is not the size that wins them fights..they are clearly more talented and dedicated then everyone else
How many good huge heavyweights have there actually been?

No, he's a midsized heavyweight.
And it's more like 210-215 lbs. He was 220-230 later in his career.

Ali at 6'/ 3 and 210 to 220 lbs is a big heavyweight! He is the fastest heavy of all time and theres no one near him!!!
I know all the younger fans look at the "crusier" and the "supersized" as divisions but I don't! The heavyweight champion has NO weight limits!
He can weigh 165 if he wants to and the limits end at 175lbs
but the question was who is the fastest of the BIG (namely 230+lbs and 6'3+).
It's already been more or less decided on who is the fastest hw of all time (and the answers usually varies between Ali, Floyd P and Mike T depending on preference and amount of exposure to the sport). What i want to know is who's the fastest of the really big guys. For with size increase, speed decreases. Ali would not be as fast if he were 250 as if he were 210.

He can weigh 165 if he wants to and the limits end at 175lbs which is the limit for a LtHvy bout! After 175 your a heavyweight to me the crusier was used years ago and its a division that usually has medicore heavies. The junior classes have their place but there should be no champions in those in between classes, its one of the reasons theres way to many titles in boxing!!
06/112/119/126/135/147/160/175/ open weight Heavy. If titles were limited the way they used to be you'd have a more competitive game. The kids that are growing out of classes could fight their ten rounds in the junior divisions without titles!! Theres no reason a guy weighing in at 120 can't fight at 126 for a title and fight at bantam + 1 in a 10 round non-title fight! It worked for years until all the promotion came in to back and develop federation with their own champs and contenders! Bunch of BS! Ray.
Wlad has the fastest hands. Lewis was better at other things like fighting on the inside but wlad is definitely faster.
Vitali has the best reflexes, he is the fastest in terms of slipping punches and moving his head. Before his long layoff he was crazy fast in terms of movement and really hard to land on upstairs.
that's true about vit actually, everybody goes on about his great chin but tbh the best chin is the one that doesn't get hit. sure he's been caught a few times like the famous lewis uppercut and rocked by corrie but generally he avoids getting chinned clean

Lewis was the fastest I can remember, in terms of the super heavyweights. He had great speed in his younger days, much more so than Foreman, the Klistschko's, etc...
Ali, Tyson and the likes are small in comparison.
Lewis might be many thinks, but he never was as fast as wlad. Wlad's footwork always was superior.
Ali is the one if you count him as he was lighter than 230lb.
