Helenius reminds me of Gerry Cooney. Destroying older used up fighters like Liakhovic and Brewster. He has a long way to go before they shove a Klitschko fight down our throat.
Robert Helenius: “Wladimir Klitschko is really good at beating smaller guys from a distance where they feel powerless from doing anything”
Ha ha, calling it like it is...
Floyd said Martinez after the Mosley fight but quickly forgot about it when Martinez ko'd Williams, just like when he wanted Pacquiao right up til Manny ko'd Hatton. Suddenly things change. :lol1:
Khan showed where he was as a boxer when he fought Maidana. He boxed cleverly for 6 rounds and got tired and let Maidana back into the fight. He did the exact same thing with Peterson. If Khan doesn't get iced like he did by Prescott, he is destined to fail due to conditioning issues when he steps up in class. Thats why I laugh when people mention him against a Mayweather or Pacquiao.
1. Pacquiao
2. Marquez
3. Ward
4. Mayweather
5. Donaire
I would move Mayweather up one but he has been so careful selecting opponents over the years and won't prove he's even the best at his own weight.
Mayweather would out box him but Chavez's size would be too much. Even this is the type of fight Mayweather likes, if he is careful about fighting top welterweights because they are too big, I doubt Mayweather wants Chavez.
He resume and accomplishments suggest he is. Failing drug tests and periods of lack of motivation during he career hurt tho. I think he accomplished more than any reigning champion today, but some are close and are not through yet.
I don't consider the fighters in the poll very exciting. Watching them outbox a bunch of soso heavies is boring but what else we got these days? The most entertaining things they do is interviews.
