Do you normally rate fights purely on the fight results rather than the actual performances? Or do you actually watch them?
Anyway...
1. Pacquiao
2. Mayweather
3. Marquez
4. Ward
5. Martinez
How do you justify Pac being #1, and lets say he officially beat Bradley to help your agenda. So you don't have to mention the JWW Title holder in Bradley.
What else warrants Pac as P4P #1? Meaning how does Pac rate higher than Mayweather, Martinez, Ward, Donaire and JMM.... (if you can put Pac at #1 even though he lost to Bradley I can surely put JMM at number 5 even though he "lost" to Pac).
A LOT OF HATERADE in this thread.
1 - PAC/FLOYD - sorry but pac won that fight and floyd won his. Pac won in better fashion but robbery. Closer than everyone thought but it was a clear win for PAC. I loved Floyd's ability to adjust his punch. A sight of BEAUTY! Neither showed any superiority but both showed DECLINE!
3 - Sergio - enough said
4- Marquez - warrior and just too skilled....I just hate him crying all the time.
5- Ward
I don't think donaire should be top 5 after his recent performances. He's fought recent/former champions but just wasn't impressed. He could have easily lost the last fight.
Klitschkos should rank up here. Their heavyweight terrorist! Shots are straight bombs.
Pac's lack of opposition that he actually beat doesn't even warrant him top 5. Fighting Clottey, Margarito, Mosley WHEN he did doesn't even get him in the top 10. Barley beating JMM at WW in 2011 didn't do much besides expose the fact he didn't learn sh*t since 2008. Technically losing to Bradley in June knocks him down, period. Either way he lost whether you think it was vs JMM or Bradley he did lose one of those fights. Some could argue both.
So at the end of the day Pac is not even top 5 P4P, he's just not. Ask yourself, WHEN was the last time he beat a Champion in the weight class he was fighting in? Or even a title holder at the weight class he was fighting in?
Again, Pac is living off a a CW win from 2009. Nothing pac has done justifies top 5. Mayweather, Martinez, Ward, JMM, Donair, Klit, all have accomplished more. Pac has been exposed and from this point on will be hung out to dry because Bob is cashing out.

How do you rate jmm over ward and Martinez? Jmm got dominated by mayweather, people cant bring up the weight cause he was that weight, fought very effective and arguably beat Pacquiao in the 3rd fight. Ward has never been dominated and outclassed and martinez hasn't lost since margarito and he has been layin cats down.
I don't care what anyone says, the weight mattered. Besides that fight, Marquez has never looked anything less than one of the three best fighters in the world. I'm not forgetting how great he is because of one loss at welterweight 3 years ago.
1. Mayweather
2. Martinez
3. Pacquiao
4. Ward
5. Marquez
I'd say those five, based on skill level and recent fights. There are a few fighters who have all the skills to make the top five but are lacking in the record department. In a couple of years time, I expect the likes of Gamboa and Rigo to join the list.
Man there are a lot of Divas on this site. I understand having Floyd or Manny at #1 but not have the other at #2 just shows how much you are nutthugging. I don't even like using this term but you guys have to stop being haters. They both deserve respect as boxers.
i had pac number 2 until the marquez fight which i felt he lost, then ward won the super six less than a month later beating froch easily. i had pac beating bradley tho.

I would say because pound for pound lists should favor fighters that have conquered multiple weight divisions.
I can understand your reasoning but some people doesn't even put either in their top 5. That is just flat out hating.
Thanks, I also see your point by saying many people purposely exclude Pacquiao and Mayweather because they simply hate them, which is stupid. However I personnaly have a hard time to put Pacquiao at number 1, 2 or 3. I miss the old Pac that was taking all challenges.
Pacquiao robbed Marquez and had a tough fight against Bradley. Before that he won against Mosley, Margarito and Clottey ( all those wins mean nothing to me ). All of this time needing catchweight and needing that Marquez move up in weight.
Ward just won the super six, dominating Kessler, Froch and Abraham.
Why the f*/( should I put Pacquiao in front of Ward ?

You're a hater. Pacquiao clearly beat Bradley who was number 7 or 8 on P4P lists. That's a better win than Mayweather beating Ortiz (off of one win over unproven Berto) by sucker punch who went on to quit vs Joselito Lopez, and was equally unimpressive before the Berto fight.
Clottey, Cotto were proven top 5 welters, even Mosley was still top 5 and basically the same Mosley Mayweather beat, and he was coming off of a 16 month layoff vs Floyd. He beat them after beating Hatton who was lineal at 140.
He then beat Margarito for a JMW belt, who was later Cotto's best win at JMW and treated as a great feat by Cotto which lead to Mayweather fighting him and Cotto being Mayweather's best win since 2007. JMM was a trilogy fight, Mayweather fought him too, only he cheated him on the scales.
If you try to degrade Pacquiao's resume, you're degrading Mayweather's too (Mayweather has Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz and Cotto since 2009, compared to Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, Marquez, Bradley for Pac..seriously..). If you're going to take one off the top 5 list, you have to take both off to be consistent.

1 mayweather
2 ward
3 martinez
4 marquez
5 wlad
------------------
6 donaire
7 bradley
8 canelo
9 froch
10 broner/chavez
that guy manny something (forgot his name) is somewhere in the 15-20 range
Why does Pac floor and stop all common opponents, and Floyd has to UD them?
Because if you read my previous post you will see it is due to his lack of opposition and WHEN he fought them..
Ask yourself this question you silly goose you...
Ask yourself, WHEN was the last time Pac beat a Champion in the weight class he was fighting in? Or even a title holder at the weight class he was fighting in? I bet you can't answer without using Floyd's name... lol
Have a nice night! I hope you start to feel better...
LOVE HOW NO ONE HAS MAY AND PAC AT 1 AND 2
FLOYD RIDERS HAVE FLOYD ONE AND NO PAC ON LIST
PAC RIDERS HAVE PAC ONE N NO FLOYD
T.S. MADE THIS THREAD JUST TO LOOK LIKE AN ASS FOR NOT HAVING PAC N START SOME ****
A REAL LIST WOULD LOOK LIKE
1pac
2 may
3ward
4wald
5martinez
i have pac slightly ahead of may based on recent comp
IMO bradley was a much much bigger challenge and more difficult opponent than an old cotto (i.m.o)
only time will tell
both dominated tho
ward will be future #1 i don't like him but i just don't see anyone beating him i mean he schooled kessler and froch cleared out one of if not the toughest divisions hes that good
Wald gets no credit , he deserves it hes the most dominate heavyweight in 30 years or so blame it on week comp but u never know how he would have done no one does
Martinez is self explanatory although im expecting Chavez to win with his 20-30 lbs weight advantage on fight night

1)Mayweather
2)Pacquiao
3)Marquez
4)Ward
5)Martinez
I give Mayweather, Marquez and Pacquiao the edge because they have conquered multiple weight divisions. IMO, that has to be a criteria when considering pound for pound.
That's why i wish Ward moved up to fight Dawson.
Im with you on that which is why I asked. I always thought Ward was moving up but it turns out he isnt. I use the mulitple titles into my criteria but I also look at quality of opposition and how they look in them. You really cant punish the Klitschko for mulitple weightclasses when they cant go any higher. I think Wlad should be top 5 at least.
