Go to 12:00 and you will see how he came to choosing Guerrero and how he used the Cotto, Marquez and Casamayor fights to convince himself that he couldn't lose to him.
Now, I think Floyd is a great fighter, the best in the game today and one of the best of all time, but I do think his biggest concern in boxing is not losing his 0.
For me, a great fighter is defined not only by his record, but by who he has fought. The greats pushed themselves, like Ali, Leonard, Chavez and Duran. They faced very tough competition and overcame it.
Floyd was asked about how he would do vs the greats and he kind of avoided the question saying he's in this era, not the one's of the past. I understand what he is saying but at the same time I think he's also avoided to fight certain guys at their peak.
I'm not saying he would have lost but how much better of a fight it would have been let's say Mayweather vs Margarito at 147 prime instead of Baldomir. Or Oscar and Mosley at an earlier time?
Of course the fight we all wanted, the Pac fight when Pac was destroying fighters.
I have all the respect in the world for Floyd but this to me proves that he thinks about the risk and doesn't embrace it. He should see a mountain and want to climb it, not how to get around it in the easiest way.
Just my two cents.
This video and 100/0 ppv sales against Pac proved Floyd has no real intention fighting Pac from the beginning.
Wait for the floydiots turning this video upside down in favor of their cherry picker hero.
Now all of the sudden they know Floyd is a cherry picker and pretending like it is no big deal. LMAO.
I just heard on SHOBOX about how Mayweather beat the "BIG, STRONG Gutierrez". Some people believe this hype even though Mayweather just beat a featherweight(again).
Mayweather didn't beat Gutierrez. Way to mix up your last names buddy. After he beats Bradley you can say he beat Jones. After he beats Malignaggi you can say he beat Gotti.
Lol yeah I remember watching this. He picked Guerrero because he saw tons of flaws. This Floyd beats the dog **** out of a prime Castillo. He knew that's what Guerrero was banking on to win him the fight.

And people want to rate Mayweather up their with SRL, Duran, Hearns? lol what a joke.
Leonard was the master of cherry picking, but atleast once in a while he'd give the fights the fans wanted to see when they wanted to see it. Floyd hasn't done that throughout his career.
lmao @ Floyd. He's telling us like it is but there's no need. He was hiding under a rock until Pacquiao got KTFO. Within days he was all over the place doing interviews and red carpets after an extended silence. That was some funny sh*t. He truly has no public pride. This guy has made so many bi*ch made moves. He's smart though. The lemmings never notice and collective memory is non existent.
And what fight exactly do you think Floyd doesn't think he could win? For that matter, what boxer do you think takes a fight and thinks...dam I have no chance of winning this.
People want to make it sound like if Floyd didn't "cherry pick", he'd of lost like half his fights. Regardless of who Floyd is fighting, he's the favourite. There's nobody out there better. Because of that, EVERY fight is a cherry pick.
The point is, according to the video, he picks guys who he knows 100% he can beat. There are some guys out there with intangibles that make Floyd not take any sort of risk against even if he believes deep down he can beat them, he's just not 100% sure so he just doesn't bother fighting them. He doesn't have to because certain fans will accept anyone he fights... and yes 2009 Pacquiao was one of those guys he just wasn't 100% sure he could beat.
Floyd chooses all his opponents.......wow what breaking news. Who could he have chose for May 4th that would have been better at the time???
And when Floyd fights and beats Canelo.....
Non-drug treatments for chronic insomnia now include all DVD tapes of Floyd fights that is cleared by the FDA and endorsed by the nation's top doctors.
Thank you Floyd for all your boring fights.
floyd is an extremely skilled boxer but it's obvious that he wont take a fight where the chances of him losing are high
The chances of him losing many of his fights was deemed high before they happened. Who should he fight at 40 or 47 where his chances are low?
These threads are hypocrisy at it's finest.
So which fights aren't a cherry pick??? Who should he have fought apart from MP (MP fault anyway) that he should have since the ODLH fight??
I'll wait.
Who's Manny fighing next? Rios :lol1: then Alvarado :lol1:
Give me a break!!!!! These threads are ridiculous. It's the matchmaker at TR who picks Manny's fights, does that mean he's cherry picking??
