If anything, the big stage got to GGG for the first few rounds but once he adapted to the emotion of the night he became his old self. He was tentative due to hype around Canelo and gave him way more respect than he should have. You watch, in the rematch Canelo gets manhandled.
Can;t hit what you can't reach. Spence showed he's very good at controlling distance. Pacquiao gets beat up.
Yeah Pac can't fight bigger guys with longer reach... :banghead:
You're comparing Spence to 2 of the least skilled guys Pacquiao fought. Did you just watch the Garcia fight? Spence worked perfectly behind the jab and controlled distance, he could have done that the entire fight without ever getting close if he chose to. Garcia couldn't get a sniff.
Dunno man, everytime Mikey went in he did well but he was content to sit on the outside waiting for a counter instead.
Lol he proved he can box tonight which is what you haters said he couldn't do,he landed over 300 shots and made garcia miss damn near everything,he obviously wanted to prove a point,he didn't even fight like he normally does, now you complaining he couldn't knock him out after that boxing clinic, you can't make this stuff up
Why would you box a guy you had every advantage over; height, reach, weight class, power, age.... come on man
Spence is pretty good but the fact he couldn't even knock down Garcia once in the fight is alarming. He had every advantage going in to the fight and still couldn't do it. That in itself tells you he will have trouble, even with this old slower version of Pacman. It will be a close fight but Spence is going to realize the difference between great and legend.
ive keep saying in my past posts horn is better than you guys think just because yoiu dont see him fight you all wrote him off, i said he was tough and durable but inexperienced , but in saying that i was at the fight and was suprised horn got away with some dirty **** those elbows were constant i thought pac should have got the nod he landed the cleaner shots .
Horn was also never warned for hitting Pac while he had him in a headlock... I'm surprised Roach wasn't onto that early, might have changed the fight.
Just saw on BoxRec that his fight with Kamegai is for the vacant WBO title... what? He last fought in 2015 - and is fighting Kamegai whos best career performance is a draw and a win against a shot to **** Jesus Soto Karass.
First of, let me just say I have been one of his biggest fans up until after the Mayweather fight. He has now lost me because of his diva behavior (leaving interviews in fights he clearly lost like the Trout, Mayweather and Alvarez fights..)
Every title he ever won has been vacant, except the Martinez fight and we all know that story.
His best title wins are a crippled Martinez back in 2014, 3 years ago, Shane Mosley - 10 years ago which is probably his best win to date.
I mean, does anyone even rate this guy anymore? It's hard to be a boxing fan, so many other fighters deserve to get a shot at the title but Cotto is handed shot after shot just because of his name.
Miguel has received the benefit of a few easy titles, like the time he fought one legged Yuri and no knees Martinez.
Paulie also said that if there is drug testing then Bradley would beat Pac, however he back peddles as soon as Pac dominates Bradley with VADA testing. Paulie is just a sore loser, it's almost as if he's baiting team Pac to fight him.
I'm still not sold on walters, Donaire has looked crap ever since he took that easy run fighting smaller guys, then got schooled by Rigo. Ever since then his mental state has not been any good.
Thanks for posting the video, I hope the fight does come to fruition. However I'll wait until we see every ridiculous demand Floyd puts in the contract. Hmmm let's all predict what will be in the contract:
Pac can't wear his cleto reyes gloves ( this will be a definite )
Pac has to accept 35%
Rematch clause only if Pac wins
Floyd gets to choose the ref
Floyd gets to choose ring size
Floyd gets to choose glove size
The main thing this video emphasized to me is just how much damage Pac took from the Margarito fight. No wonder his next couple of fights were not the same.
The Mayweather part was pretty funny, Floyd made to look foolish, which isn't hard I guess.
You guys can't tell me that all this Manny talk has not got into Mayweather's head. It's seriously going to affect him if they ever do fight, any other opponent no, but Manny is Floyd's nemesis. I wonder what excuse will come next, they obviously couldn't think of anything recently other than the KO6 video.
TBE = THE BEST EXCUSES = offer a deal that no smart business man would ever accept in order to look like you're actually trying to make the fight when you definitely are not.
Wait for the next deal to be offered and i can guarantee that Pac wont be allowed to wear his favourite gloves, use his own promoter whom he's had for over a decade, the ring has to be as big as possible, and he must be monitored by a member of TMT throughout his whole camp.
my summary of the fight from analyzing it in depth. pac clearly won 6 rounds: 3,4,6,7,8, and 10. floyd clearly won 5 rounds: 1,2,5,11,12. The 9th round really was a toss up if i had to lean i would probably give it to pac for simply landing the harder punches. An even round is also fine and giving it to floyd isn't wrong at all. So my card would be either 7-5 pac, 6-5-1 even pac or a draw 6-6.
my reasoning: round 3 a lot of people seem to give to floyd but I can't see why. pac outlanded him in total punches, power punches, and had the best punch of the round. round 6 floyd actually outlanded pac 15-14 but most of floyd's punches were jabs while all of pacs were power to the head and body and he also had floyd wobbled. A clear example of a round where quality over quantity trumps. Round 8 was also an example of quality over quantity as floyd outlanded pac 11-9 but pac stunned him with 3 great flush punches. floyd's power punches lacked any authority or flushness in this round and pac landed the 3 best punches of the round that slightly troubled floyd so I think he deserves this round.
Man I had it the same as you and I didn't need to count, we watched it live at the pub where we couldn't hear the commentary.
To us Floyd looked lost and Manny looked more tactical than usual, they both had a bad showing but it was not domination by Floyd.
watching without audio and canelo isn't doing much. i'm starting to get worried about this, why is canelo not trying to win a round..instead he's just cruising around and doing flash combos to gloves only..
Because he knows he just needs to get to the scorecards and it's in the bag with the vegas judges.
