I'm going to be doing my own compubox review of the fight while watching it closely. I'm only counting clean punches, not punches that hit gloves, shoulders, tickle the nose with no force etc..i'm counting punches. i will have 3 categories jabs, power punches, and body shots. let's see how accurate/inaccurate compubox is. I will also be keep track of the clinches/bending below the waist and other fouls i find but that is for another thread.
my summary of the fight from analyzing it in depth. pac clearly won 6 rounds: 3,4,6,7,8, and 10. floyd clearly won 5 rounds: 1,2,5,11,12. The 9th round really was a toss up if i had to lean i would probably give it to pac for simply landing the harder punches. An even round is also fine and giving it to floyd isn't wrong at all. So my card would be either 7-5 pac, 6-5-1 even pac or a draw 6-6.
my reasoning: round 3 a lot of people seem to give to floyd but I can't see why. pac outlanded him in total punches, power punches, and had the best punch of the round. round 6 floyd actually outlanded pac 15-14 but most of floyd's punches were jabs while all of pacs were power to the head and body and he also had floyd wobbled. A clear example of a round where quality over quantity trumps. Round 8 was also an example of quality over quantity as floyd outlanded pac 11-9 but pac stunned him with 3 great flush punches. floyd's power punches lacked any authority or flushness in this round and pac landed the 3 best punches of the round that slightly troubled floyd so I think he deserves this round.
The last time I did this for the Pacquiao v.s. Maidana 1 fight, my thread was deleted by the mods.
Great effort and thank you for taking the time to put this up.
This you mean?

Yeah this one. thanks you very much Mr. Weebler sir.
1. who was on the red corner and who was on the blue corner.
2. Does the compubox matches daggum punch landed analysis?
3. If Floyd was on the Blue corner, and Pac was on the red corner, how come all three judges made the same mistakes of not knowing which corners Floyd and Pac was on?
4. who wrote Mayweather unanimous decision? he like all the judges don't also know which corners were for Floyd and Pac?
By the way, CompuBox is a computerized program. It's not some guy clicking buttons. Not saying it's always accurate, but I'm tired of people saying it's just a guy pressing buttons. Not true,

Floyd's style adapted to suck the life out of potentially exciting fights. He employs a calculated game plan of manipulating the compubox system and gets credit for even the most cursory of punches. The only time he ever fully commits to his offense is when he’s fighting a woman.
Judah, Cotto and Hatton forced Mayeather to become far more aggressive, all fights that brought excitement, Pacquioao didn't manage that and was content with eating jabs, how about stop being a sore loser?
hey daggum, could you also post the NSAC judges score sheet so we could see if they matched with the compubox result?

I have rewatched the fight twice in slo-mo and honestly don´t know how CompuBox gave so many punches to Floyd and so little to Manny. It doesn´t make sense at all.
My scorecard is either 7-5 for Manny or 6-6. I can even accept 7-5 for Floyd, but with difficulty. Manny landed the strongest, clearest punches in the swing rounds.
i had it 8-4 pbf watching it live. i was impressed w/ pbf's defense thus giving him the rounds where i think pac didn't do enough. haven't re-watched the fight again.
it was not the schooling that was perceived by floyd fans.

The same thing happened in the Canelo fight. Floyd won but it wasn't the 12-0 whitewash it was made out to be.
Because he's perceived as super duper accurate he gets credited for punches that didn't land.

Why did you choose this particular fight to get on a Sharpton-esque sanctimonious outrage pony about compubox?

Went through Round 3 and counted 13 shots for Mayweather. No way he didn't win that round.

Excellent thread Daggum. Props.
Pacman wins this fight based on aggression and solid hard clean punches alone.
Sadly boxing is not scored that way.

I just watched the video at all the marks and sorry to say but you're blind as a mice. The Left hook was certainly behind the head and was more of a slap than a punch, The first right hand clearly misses and the last right hand you mark clearly misses.
The last right hand hits him on the right side of his face and neck. Not hard, but it certainly lands.
