Looks like Vargas gave up his 140 belt prior to the fight@FSalazarBoxing @R_Munny Vargas gave up his WBA title prior to fight— gary shaw (@boxing1111) June 29, 2015
I know in boxing anything can happen and one punch can change a fight, but I've seen Bradley survive 12 rounds with a concussion I think he would have survived the last 10 seconds.
jesus most of this was cringeworthy.
he claims the ref waved it off and told him he was the new interim world champion.
then he claims the stoppage could have saved bradley's life.
:lol1:
the real travesty here is pat russell breathing new life into vargas' mediocre career...
We could hear the ref.....oh Jessie
Jessie Vargas is clearly delusional. That being said, Bradley cannot take a punch like how he used to. He's had a awesome career to this point and made good money. I strongly feel that if he was in with a puncher last night, he would have gotten seriously hurt.

the ignorance is embrassing
vargas bent his knees, punched with velocity through the target and got his whole weight behind the punch and landed on the button in the 12th round and rocked tim so therefore timmy doesnt have an iron chin anymore?
Somewhat off-topic, but does anyone else usually watch fights with sound off, whether it's on a stream or on YouTube?
I do, because frankly, most commentary is terrible.
I've done this only once. Can't remember the fight, but the commentary was driving me nuts.

if any other welterweight would've gotten rocked by Jessie Vargas in his first fight at 147 the criticism would be endless but Bradley seems to get a free pass.
Bradley beats him much worse in a rematch. That is not a good idea for Vargas' well being.
Bradley was the only one who was on queer street in the fight against a guy with 9 stoppages. Bradley should take the rematch and continue to stay away from real welterweights.
that controversy at the end is just the excuse arum needed to make a rematch

Not a good weekend for referees lol.
First Ian John Lewis decides to revert to 100 year old boxing rules where the fighter only has to have their knee off the canvas to start fighting again, and then Pat Russel decides he's bored of the fight and stops it early.
