"Absolutely. I would love to fight Manny Pacquiao. We tried to make the fight happen years ago. We had problems with random blood and urine testing. Like I said, I just want to be on an even playing field. Now he's in a very tight situation. He's lost to Marquez, he's lost to Bradley, pay-per-view numbers are down extremely low, so he's desperate. I've been wanted that fight a long time ago. I'm just waiting on them. Of course we have to make the fight happen on Showtime pay-per-view because Showtime Championship Boxing is number one and will remain number one and I'm the man; I'm here to stay," stated undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who broke his silence on a potential clash with 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather had a lot to say to set the record straight about whether or not he wants to make the fight a reality. Check out what else he had to say!
"Floyd Mayweather is not ducking or dodging any opponent. Bob Arum is stopping the fight. We have been trying to make this fight happen behind the scenes for years now, but the fans and the people have been fooled because they have been listening to people just on one side. Now it's time for us to talk. We want the fight. We're ready. Let's make it happen. May 2nd. Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao. Let's do it." "Absolutely. I would love to fight Manny Pacquiao. "I know that he's not on my level, the fans would love to see the fight, and of course I want to go out with a bang, so let's make this fight happen. Manny Pacquiao, Bob Arum, you guys have been ducking us for year. We're tired of you guys fooling the public, fooling the critics. Before we tried to make the fight happen. You guys didn't want to take random blood and urine testing, so that's why the fight didn't happen. Then I offered you $40 million. Then you didn't want to make the fight happen. You lost twice. Now you coming back begging for the same money. That's not going to happen. Let's make this fight happen for the people and for the fans. Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao. May 2nd. Cinco De Mayweather."
Mayweather obviously waited for Pac to lose before he really wanted a fight. And he does have a point in the negotiations he now has a big upper hand.
The funny thing is I now think Pac has a much better chance at winning the fight. Floyd is not the same fighter he was 4 years ago while Pac has only slowed down slightly. The Marquez fight was really just Pac getting caught. Nearly every great fighter has suffered a similar fate.
I still don't think this fight will happen. Floyd is posturing. Notice he mentioned Arum and Showtime. HBO and Arum will not budge. It's not like Pac will just leave them and fight Floyd.
Anyway I hope I'm wrong. It's time.
I did not hear how much money Mayweather wants Pacquiao to get and how much Mayweather wants for himself. Until these numbers are on the table Mayweather hasn't called out anybody and Pacquiao hasn't ducked anybody. Mayweather deserves a 60-40 split of the money but if he wants more than that then he is the roadblock. He is the one holding up or ducking the fight.
What took you so long Floyd?
Let's wait and see, in the meantime let's do what we normally do on NSB debate who ducked who because we might get bored to death without them.
.... Pay me my points Ionise Cody :lol1:
You must've missed the post fight press conference where Manny called out Floyd. :)
Thats nothing compared to what floyd did tonite!!! you do know Iron Eyes Cody wasn't a real indian right?:lol1: Your homie looked dumb trying to tell me i didn't know how to spell it!!:lol1: when all else fails!!
"Hes gonna fight me!!":lol1:, thats what you call a call out?:ugh:, or was that an obvious sign this fight is going to get made????!!! what floyd did was better then manny saying " the fans deserve the fight", thats weak and you guys jumped all over that sh1t...

He said he wants to fight him lol. He just said they turned down 40 mil and testing. Is that not true?
The 40 million flat fee with no PPV and the 14 day cut off, that's what Floyd talked about correct?
Yes or no?
Then he talked about Arum and said he wants Manny in May. "Manny Pacquiao you're next!" :lol1:
Did he or did he not bring up 40 million and the past testing yes or no?

Did not get to watch the beginning of the interview.
Just my own opinion, i don't think the fight will happen.
Floyd said it himself, the fight will be on Showtime. Pac is with HBO. Floyd said also about the ppv sales. Meaning Floyd will want a lesser percentage for Pac. Pac might not selling as he use to be and Floyd is doing better. But Floyd's ppv are not expecting the sales also, with the exception of the Canelo fight. Canelo is very popular compare to Algerie, Rios, and Bradley. Team Pac will not agree on a lower percentage. Also, Floyd might not want to split the ppv sales.
Even though Pac got lower ppv sales, i believed he should still get a good percentage that he deserves.
This is a lie. Pac is not signed to HBO!!!! He DOES NOT have an exclusive contract there like Arum has people thinking. GGG, Ward, and Canelo have HBO contracts. Pac does NOT!!!
OK...I just saw the showtime video so I will say he did call him out for May 2 2015...but I really have my doubts he really means it but I sure do hope so. We have all been waiting too long.
LOL
manny calls out pac(is called a hero)
May calls out arum (is called a coward once again)
MAJOR BIAS
Floyd just spewed out the excuses from like 2010 then is like yes I want Manny.
Uh we have heard that before. "Never said it doe"

All I see is deliciousness minus the onions and cheese.
There is absolutely nothing in any search that I've done that substantiates this...it's BS.
I wonder why everyone seems to forget:
"Manny Pacquiao you're next!"
"I never said that, don't put words in my mouth!"
