Toney regularly ballooned and lost weight, why does it make a difference against Jones compared to his 46 other wins?
The balloning and losing weight makes him vulnerable to fast athletic fighters same as Duran was against Leonard at Distance, Cooto against Pacquiao and Hatton against Mayweather. All of those fighters go up massively in weight between fights

Cant Wait Gotta Visit LA To Try These Tacos.
He's hardly a boxing star, he's a one time champion who didn't even make a successful defense
do you think one or the other could pull it off?
Floyd beat De La Hoya for the 154 title and weighed 150, he could easily have weighed 147 and rehydrated to 150 on fight night.
Man people really starting to overrate Martinez. He beat Pavlik whos best win is just Taylor. Then beats Paul Williams who was never that good to begin with now hes considered one of the best smh. Froch and Ward should be higher than him.
Martiez is not even in the same division as Ward or Froch. Hes a middleweight not a super middleweight.
Williams and Pavlik were not any good after Martinez beat them, before they were the next big thing.
Pacquiao fought the 154 belt which was stripped off Martinez and fought for it at 150 lbs against Margarito who was not entitled to have a title shot.
Catchweights aren't real belts.
Didnt Paul Williams once beat u and take the WBO belt frm u n 2007? MArgarito was suppose to fight Cotto earlier than when he was suppose to fight him but Williams crushed that up! Dey were talking about Maragarito fighting Cotto before Williams vs Maragarito was resolved (go bak and watch the williams vs Margarito fight)! Anytime a Paul Williams rematch is potentially brought up to Maragarito he acts like he has amnesia like never fought the guy before!
U wanna avenge your loss against Mosley and fight a guy u damn near killed again but u dnt wanna avenge your loss to Williams who is still around making noise?
It's because many people question his victory over Cotto because of the handwrap issue and the Mosley loss was much worse than the Williams loss.
Regardless of weight Floyd would neutralise his left hand just like Hopkins did to Felix the same way Floyd did to Oscar. Since they are both converted southpaws with dominant left hands.
I may not like the guy but hes got skills
Salita had been down twice in the first round against Montano a fighter that has 2 KO's out of 17 wins. So it was easy for him to get knocked out by Khan.
Mayweather walked Shane down with a Jab thats what he struggles with.
I don't think it would have made much of a difference, maybe he would have fought like he did in the 12th round earlier but it looked like nerves got the better of him.
Genetics and chronic hand injuries (His right hand has been repeatedly broken) although he stunned Diaz in his last fight. Hes done very well considering hes a one handed fighter
rumble in the jungle will forever taint Foremans Legacy.
He is indeed underrated.
A loss to an All Time Great doesn't taint anybodies legacy.
What about Ali's wins over Liston, Patterson and Williams.
The Fact that Foreman Ko'd opponents that ALi didn;t doesn't come as a suprise since Foreman had better power.
Ali lost to Frazier and Norton (both styles made to beat him) whilst he was on the decline, he managed to beat them and beat Foreman.
Ali is not stupid, you think he would use the rope a dope on Foreman again if it wasn't working, he was an adaptive fighter.
"The referee sucks, the referee sucks"
Ruiz's Corner agaisnt Jones Jr.
"you're settin him up with that body shot. see this guy ain't used to gettin it back at the body. take that jab, keep piling them up, Stab him in his heart. Rip around them sides. We gonna show him how he gotta slow down. When he hits the pedal, there ain't gonna be no gas at the end of this".

This is an interesting matchup
This has mismatch written all over it.
May outboxed JMM easy, but I will say this though, May had every single physical advantage you could think of.
- weight
- natural size
- height
- arm length (which is instrumental when two counter punchers face off)
- handspeed
- mobility
The last two factors have alot to do with skill as well but I put them in anyway because Marquez was heavily disadvantaged in those areas because he was fighting three weightclasses above his natural weight.
JMM was destined to lose that fight handily from the beginning. The fact that Mayweather would not risk himself to finish JMM off is a credit to JMM's heart and counterpunching threat. If this was a fight at 130 I'd still pick May, but it would be ALOT more competitive.
You forgot he also had the power advantage.
Mayweather is good I don't deny that, but his win over JMM means nothing
He could beat Pavlik easily even if Pavlik outweighed him by 6-7 pounds due to his movement and boxing skills i.e. Mayweather at 154 and Pavlik at 160.
Williams though is a volume puncher, with long arms and a good chin. Stylistically thats a disaster for Mayweather.
Anyone who thinks WIlliams is one dimensional should watch his fight with Margarito
Khan is delusional. Not only would Freddie easily pick Manny and he has stated so previously, Manny would take him apart in a few rounds. Sparring with 16 ounce gloves and headguards isn't he same thing as a real fight.
And Ali dominating Wlad can be proven?
Stylistically Ali is a nightmare for the Klitschkos, he can attack and be out of there before they can counter. Their big shots will not be able to knock out Ali if they can hit him, straights have difficulty landing against him, Frazier was able to hit him with his staggered hooks which few people can pull off.
They are dominating but the skill sets of the boxers they are fighting is not in the same level as the 70's HW.
Mayweather vs Pacquiao
Im almost positive this fight hasn't happened.
Hopkins Wright
Hopkins Tarver
Hopkins Allen II and III (first was NC)
Hopkins Daniels
Hopkins Holmes
Hopkins Vanderpool
Hopkins Jackson
That was a prime Kessler. Ward beats him on the inside and on the outside.
Froch didn't press him like Andrade and Calzaghe which is actually abit out of his comfort zone he had to pursue Froch.
Vitali 6'7" + 80" reach. Wlad 6'6" + 81" reach. Both have more strength, more power, more muscle. Great stamina, can impose their will. Fight with a safety first mentality with the ability to end the fight at any given moment.
Ali 6'3" + 80" reach. Fights on the outside, head hunter, jabs and straights. Any other punch is ugly and loopy. Fights with the hands down. Great footwork.
I'd choose the Klits every time. They aren't gonna get outboxed, they have footwork themselves. They aren't 1-dimensional head hunters or wild hayemaker throwers, that throw punches from outside of their range and wonder why the punches aren't landing.
I'm sure that's what people thought about Sonny Liston. 84" reach great jab.
Ali is great at guessing ranges and using his length and reflexes to make people miss.
Wlad has been known to gas out. Ali regularly fought opponents that were stronger than him, had more muscle etc
Theres good footwork, theres great footwork, then theres Ali footwork. Hec ould go in throw his combos and be out before the Klitschkos could react, lean back to avoid shots and then counter.
I like the Klitschkos, I think they are underated, but they would not beat Ali.
