A prime Tito used to have a hell of a jab and went to the body effectively. You could catch Tito cold early in the fights and he would suffer those flash KD's but when he got going a prime Tito was good a slippin, ducking, avoiding punches. Now I am not saying he had great defense. But, he could slip punches and had solid boxing skills. His boxing skills became underrated because later in his career he felt in love with his power IMO. And, forgot about his boxing skills...
I also think that it is unfair for Floyd match up against other ATG WWs. This is Floyd 4 weight-class. Floyd weight-class was 130 where he was an absolute beast. And, matching him up in fantasy fights against the elite true WWs in the past might be too much. Tito would be a whole different animal then Floyd has ever faced above 140. Now saying all that I still think is a toss up fight. But, I don't think is a sure win for Floyd like some posters on here do...
tito had a very difficult time with boxers. i dnt see why floyd would be any different. tito doesnt have a jab...sorry, tito was one of the first boxers i saw fight an was in awe, but if he lost to hopkins, he'd def lose to a faster, slicker prime mayweather.
Actually a prime Tito did have a jab. And, was a very good body puncher.
And, Floyd is not a natural MW, hell Floyd is not a natural WW, That is his fourth division while Tito was a natural WW.
prime trinidad is the same trinidad B-Hop KTFO... Trinidad never had a Jab... just hooks... He was a 1 handed wonder....
Great comparison cuz Floyd is a 6ft natural MW.

Floyd cannot handle Tito's power. and Prime Tito could deal with a boxer. Fkoyd's chin wouldnt be able to take Tito's punches
Maybe!! You may just be right! It makes me sad that we'll never know.:damnit:
Floyd cannot handle Tito's power. and Prime Tito could deal with a boxer. Fkoyd's chin wouldnt be able to take Tito's punches
but oscar could, trinidad would not be able to deal with the shoulder roll and defense, felix might of had a size advantage but floyd speed skill defense stamina advantage
some PR's are far too biased no hate because am a big big miguel cotto fan!!!
its just floyd is very skill, so oscar was whopping trinidads a$$ but now floyd could not when he was better than oscar at virtually everything part from size and reach!!!!
Regardless of weight Floyd would neutralise his left hand just like Hopkins did to Felix the same way Floyd did to Oscar. Since they are both converted southpaws with dominant left hands.
I may not like the guy but hes got skills
At what weight? I'm guessing 147 right? I think Mayweather boxes Trinidad's ears off to a boring, one sided, UD by Mayweather. Trinidad doesn't have the jab, speed, or footwork to catch Mayweather at any time.
Agree with this. Tito had problems with just about every skilled 'boxer' I can think of.
Hopkins, Winky, De La Hoya somewhat. Be sure that if they ever met Floyd would box for 12 rounds. Tito was great in a gun fight where he could land, but I could see Floyd frustrating him all night long.
Tito KHTFO. People saying Trinidad didnt had a Jab are clueless. And if old ass shit Shane Mosley almost KHTFO, you better believe Trinidad will land and if Tito lands on him, he is dead meat.
Trinidad also would had a 3" height advantage and a 3" in reach.
The question is how FLoyd will land on Tito without getting hit back.
Im sorry for you Flomos but Trinidad is a ATG WW and P4P one of the hardest punchers ever.
Floyd has never beaten a bonafide great fighting in his prime!!
well if oscar was out boxing trinidad then floyd would easily ud trinidad, he came forward in straight lines an elite boxer puncher like floyd would ud his ass
That would be a good fight in their prime. I am a fan of both so I can't really pick that easily. If I had to bet my house on it I would pick Mayweather.
I'd take the Trinidad that fought Camacho over the Mayweather that fought Mosley. Tito has delt with fast movers before (Carr, Vargas, Camacho, Joppy, Reid ect) so i can't see him being befuddled by Floyd ( who's doesn't nearly have the same foot speed he had at lightweight). I just think Trinidad would use length too well and would be strong enough to out muscle Floyd inside.
