Mayweather would beat any version of Mosley. It would have possibly been a little closer, but Mayweather would still have been able to figure Shane out, adapt & neutralise Mosley's game. Mosley went for the KO but Mayweather was able to smother his work effectively.
In alot of PBF's fights he has difficulty in the first 3 -4 rounds, but once he figures his opponent out it's game over.
I find it funny that Mosley landed 2 shots in only 1 round & people think Floyd is so vulnerable & easy to beat.
Fully agree, the Flomos won't admit it, but any version of Mosley that doesn't gas after two rounds KO's Mayweather, and that's just the truth.
And if the ringpost hadn't KO'd Hatton, he would have KO'd Floyd too.. :(
Why do people keep saying Mosley would have finished the business had he been 32 years old? Being younger wouldn't have stopped Mayweather tying him up the moment he got hurt.
It wouldn't have stopped Mayweather outboxing him either. Age had nothing to do with Mosley's inability to set his shots up after the 2nd round. People need to realise that some fighters can adapt and others can't, Mosley's offence was neutralised.
Mayweather walked Shane down with a Jab thats what he struggles with.
I don't think it would have made much of a difference, maybe he would have fought like he did in the 12th round earlier but it looked like nerves got the better of him.
Dont let the roids fool you TS
If they was both in their PEAK PRIME Mayweather would have won same style same fashion
Every Floyd hater has to keep talking how Shane made Floyds legs buckle ... but wtf he do after that? NOTHING. They dont talk how he got out boxed and out classed the rest of the way
Pretty bad when a fighter isnt in the fight after the 2nd round

if they were both the same age, it was lights out for floyd in round 2, in round 3 shane was puffing like he had done a marathon.
a 32 year old mosley won't fade. he'd get outboxed maybe, but he wouldn't have faded so horribly.
a 32 year old mosley wouldn't try to box with floyd either. we might have seen a brawl break out.
lol @ groupies thinking that beating an inactive for a year and a half 38 year old fighter is something great... its a good win. but nothing more.
this was an older mosley that got BEAT by Cotto.. lol cotto was faster than mosley in their fight 2 years ago.
does this really needs an answer, what a jerk!
you need to see a lot of fights first, before posting here!
Mosley beats Floyd w/in 300 to 600 seconds..
lol, says the guy who picks Layla Ali to beat Zab Judah. 80% of your posts are made in those stupid multiply your points threads. Im posting here whenever i want. Who the **** are you to tell me that?
Besides, Mosley always lost to skilled boxers, because he never had a great jab. Vernon and Winky had great jabs like Floyd, and thats why he got beat by them. And i repeat, if Mosley was 32, Floyd would have been 26, the fight would have been at 135 and Floyd at 135 was much more fast and powerful with both hands. I think its u who need to see more fights.
if Mosley fought floyd at age 32, he would have fought this version of Floyd.
you tell me who wins

what version of Shane doesn't get tired at some stage??........he got tired in the ODLH rematch and he was taking the BALCO special.......
The thing is the fight would happen at 135........where Floyd is still faster than Shane, still has a jab, still has a lead right....but has much much faster feet.......
The thing working in Shane's favour if this happened at 135 is experience......i could def envision a situation where Shane wins fight number one against Floyd at 135, but Floyd wins 2 subsequent rematches.
but he wasn't and he was also the best opponent for Floyd at the time. Floyd took care of biz
exactly.....floyd did what he said he would.......
also lets break down some of shane's other fights. I though he was outboxed in the 2nd ODLH fight...and this was a SSM who was taking EPO, the cream, the clear and modanofil.
He was outboxed by Wright, who really just stood infront of Shane and threw the jab all night and mixed in the odd body shot and str8 left.......he was outboxed by Cotto (only just) in the middle of the ring who basically used his jab.....Cotto has no right hand.
The guy who gave Shane the most trouble was VF...a guy who used the same jab as the other guys, but also had the str8 right to follow that up with and the occassional uppercut and some other stuff. So judging from these prior losses when Shane was younger, Floyd who has excellent timing (the jab is more about timing and less about speed), defense, speed, movement and is effective with both hands would give Shane problems......Shane lost because all these guys kept a stick in his face the whole night and disrupted his ability to mount "CONSISTENT" offense. Sound/look familiar.......???
When Shane stood in front of Floyd during the 6th round utterly confused as to what punch to throw and attempted a leaping jab, I collected all the information I needed to determine who was ultimately the better fighter/boxer. Then and Now.
