A few yrs ago Rocky Juarez was lookin like the next FW beast, but he's been punked into journeyman status by the big names. And David Reid surely coulda gone farther had he not run into Felix.
He might have a belt in his future, but his chance to be elite is over wit. He's gonna be like Mayo and Zab, still a name, but not quite a big name anymore.
Roy is done. he couldn't take Glen in '04 and he damn sure can't now. He better not even think about it. Roy's my boy, but his time in big fights is over wit.
That was the best he ever was in terms of his career, but not necessarily his best individual performance. Even tho it turned out he wasn't at his best anymore, comin back from 3 yrs in the pen to KO 2 titlists back to back was impressive, even tho Seldon and Bruno ain't that good.
Currently I don't think anyone can stand toe to toe wit at 147 him except Pwill, who flipped the script on him and outworked him to win. But even at that, it wasn't the wipeout Marg's haters would like to believe.
When did RJ ever say he was the best HW? When Larry IV'd him after the Ruiz fight he said flat out he just did this to make history, not to launch a full blown HW campaign. He said he wasn't interested in fightin Byrd or Holy at HW, and I don't recall Lennox even bein mentioned. He wanted to use his HW belt as bargainin leverage for a big $ fight wit Tyson, that I do remember him sayin. And when that fight didn't happen, he went back down to 175 to reclaim his throne and answer the challenge of Tarver, the man who was tellin everybody who'd listen that Roy was duckin him.
