My only point is this, if Margarito would move up to 154 or 160 he would prove himself more and become a viable contender for the P4P crown. Even if he beats Cotto, Clottey, and Berto at 147, what more does that prove? Nothing in my eyes because the guy is a rock at 147, you can't hurt him. He would really make more of a statement if he could move up to 154, avenge his loss to Santos, clear out the division, and take a stab at Pavlik or whoever the king at 160 is.
But most likely he'll just stay at 147 where he knows he can't get hurt.
The reason he fights at 147 is because that's where the most money is right now.
i saw the judah fight but i wasnt particularly impressed with his power tbh, like i said i havent seen many of his fights
he always looks to be in great shape though, no denying that
Not that one punch knockout power but he can hurt you with a combination. I believe he hurt Margarito in the early rounds of their fight.
n how many boxers would going back to same day weigh-ins effect? almost all of them. So why is tony the only one being talked about?
i'm not slamming tony at all. He makes the weight so i don't have a problem whatsoever. I'm slamming the boxing committees in general. close to 50-70% of boxers would have to move up but that's the point. It would be without advantages. you wouldn't see people like celestino caballero fighting at 122

Well, we could go on about the 2 billion threads about PWill at WW.....
he has made the weight so according to current boxing rules no. BUT go back to same day weight-in and that will fix the problem u are trying to prove here

most boxers make weight because of special weight draining techniques and that leave some people in classes they don't belong to hence some are FORCED to move up in weight as they just can make the weight any more
Again, if you can make weight on the day of the weigh in, which is 24 hours before the actual fight. Then why would you say somme people are in classes they don't belong ?
If the weight loss is affecting the fighter's performance, then most likely he will opt to move up a division.
If you make the weight, how the hell can you be 'too big' ?!

He doesn't have that knock you dead power of say a Hearns or Jackson (few do), but he has enough to keep you honest.
speaking of jackson... jackson-mcclellan was insane.
will do.
does Clottey have power? I havent seen many of his fights the ones i've seen he spends 95% of the time in a shell

He's heavy handed as they say. He hit Judah with some good shots in their last fight and looked to be in top form.

Try to catch it when you get a chance, bud. Bombs were thrown. I still can't believe Chico made it to the final bell.
will do.
