Another reason I respect Margarito

Margarito doesnt have the 1 punch KO power, however he punches hard enough to wear down any fighter in his weight class and, and thats the most important thing, he can take a so called "1 punch KO" and still stand up on his feets, dont forget some of the punches from Cotto as well as from P.Williams. I dont think Margarito ever been down in his carreer. What makes him so sucessful is that he is able to throw punches with the same power in the 11th-12th round as he does in the 1st, that is devastating for most of his opponents that regardless the stamina, you usually are not that fresh in the last 2 rd's of a fight let alone take those power punches. Margarito has been throwing around 1200-1300 punches in his last fights and thats gonna feel in the body of the guy fighting him in the later rd's. I look forward to the Mosley fight, that may be a "retirement" fight for Mosley (he wont feel ok after this one)

Well if its a fist fight to the death, then there are no weight classes i'm sure a prime Mike Tyson would show him some death. Then we'll see how many punches he can take.

Margarito doesn't punch as hard as other WW but tires people down with his workrate, but like you said you are allowed to move and box and that is why Mosley stands a chances.

Tito is one of my favorite boxers but there's no doubt as to what he did in that fight.

Vito Antuofermo and Bennie Briscoe did it and actually made Hagler back up... That was of course when Hagler was more of a boxer, a mover, not the relentless fighter he became later on in some of his middleweight title defenses. I think that pound for pound, in his prime, Henry Armstrong was nearly impossible to beat in a brawl. Thanks for the boxing knowledge.

Currently I don't think anyone can stand toe to toe wit at 147 him except Pwill, who flipped the script on him and outworked him to win. But even at that, it wasn't the wipeout Marg's haters would like to believe.
