Bute is a good counter-puncher, but he isn't "slick" like everyone seems to assume. I actually think he has serious defensive flaws, he's just been fighting B and C level opposition for so long, noone's been able to expose them, since the first fight with Andrade. In the Magee fight he got tagged hard a few times, and appeared to be buzzed. Bute is an offensive machine, and he's been able to get away with just his offense for years now, but when he fights Froch, it's going to be a whole different ballgame. I expect Froch to land his jab with consistency on Bute.
And despite having a bad start, I expect him to break Bute down over the coarse of the fight. As I've said in the past Froch has underrated boxing skills, and he has a solid well timed jab. He just couldn't show them against Ward because Ward is superior in all of those departments. Bute also doesn't handle getting hit well at all. He panics. I'm telling you, even the most talented fighters can fail on the top level when they've been fighting lower level fighters for so long. Because when they finally do step up, and are being really challenged, and being hit they can fold. I'm not saying this will happen t Bute, hell I could be completely wrong and Bute may beat Froch, but I have a feeling the way he panics when hit, and his defensive flaws, will cost him big time in this fight.
Expect Bute to have a good start, and Froch to start coming on in the middle rounds with the jab. Bute starting to tie up alot, and Froch TKO's him late. Like I said I could be completely wrong, but I feel Bute's lack of top level experience, defensive flaws will cost him in this one. Yes Froch has defensive flaws, but he has loads of world class experience and has proven himself as a top level fighter. Just my two cents.
Watch the Bika or Berrio fights and tells me where he panics and that was a inexperienced Bute who has improved since then. The Mcgee fight too he did land some decent shots where did he panic? Froch is going to get KTFO, he'll eat clean counters all night like he did against Ward as Bute is just as good a counterpuncher with similar handspeed only his power is A+.
I like Froch but some people really underestimate Bute especially in a matchup against the two, it will be satisfying to see Bute finally get some credit and silence the irrational legions of haters that he has.
I am no Bute hater, just expressing MY opinion, that is all. You have yours and I have mine. The difference between him and Ward is Ward can fight alot of different ways. I think Bute has talent, I just think his lack of fighting top opposition might cost him here.
I hear you. Another thing that played a big factor was Ward's footwork and his ability to control the distance which is also something Bute excels at and uses in conjonction with his counter punching. Same with Ward's short tight compact punches as Carl's wide punches gave Ward ample oppertunity to avoid them, counter or just outright beat him to the punch. I can see as those same things factoring into his downfall vs Bute.
i have all of pajkic & furys fights...pajkic is entertaining but i missed the fight cause of work. i have seen pajkic take huge punches so if was a legit knockdown im surprised...im going to be pissed if it was another early stoppage
From what i remember he did seem a little stunned but both knockdowns were as much push downs as anything. Fury was legit dropped flat on his back and hurt much worse in the round before and obviously no stoppage for Pajkic. Same as the Firtha fight Fury was hurt way worse the round before but the ref lets it go for him but stops it as soon as he can for Fury to save Fury's "undefeated" record.
i think it goes 12.fury should win but unless the terrible english refs stop it early it should be a good fight.pajkic can take a huge punch.it will be hard for pajkic to win decision in england. he will surprise the fans that have never seen him.
lol You really think this won't happen? Shameful brit hypejob stoppage inside 7 rounds is my prediction.

What i say. 2nd time in last 2 fights glassjaw Fury has been saved by british ref. fu*king disgraceful
For an MMA fighter he is crisp and has good power. I think he would be more successful in boxing than Kimbo or any other cross overs. Junior started training in BJJ at around 19 or 20 and loves the boxing discipline
Junior on the pads at 9:40
Junior sparring (Dont know who but according to a response on youtube the other guy is an olympic boxing)
There are no Brazilian CW or HW Olympic level boxers. Badr Hari will end up getting destroyed as a pro boxer and Dos Santos makes him look super talented by comparison. The gap in skill between a top level striker's hands in kickboxing or MMA compared to a boxers is vast. Anderson Silva for example is garbage as a boxer, garbage, yet is a phenom in MMA.
Cloud wins. He is an excellent pressure fighter who knows how to cut off the ring & work the body. Dawson doesn't like a high workrate. When Pascal pressed him he was completely out of rythm, bending to low & backing straight up, Cloud applies much better pressure, Cloud wins.
Cloud had trouble in spots with Mack's boxing and couldn't finish Zuniga even though the "overrated hypejob" Bute destroyed him.
This is the reason for British refs often jumping in one punch too early,it doesnt make it right, but it seems the NSB trolls dont even realize this is why
lol trying to pawn it off as their being concerned. Then how come they didn't stop it out of concern for Fury's health when he was hurt far worse by Firtha the round before. British disgrace the sport.
What is it with British refs that they have to stop fights so fukking early? It's fukking infuriating really. What's the point of having two guys duke it out if you gonna stop it the second someone gets staggered? Najkic was punching back up to the stoppage and probably would have made it through the round...
To make sure their sh!tty fighters win......

Both "knockdowns" were shoves, as Pajkic noted. Fury was hurt worse in round two than Neven in round three.
If Fury is a man, he'll rematch Neven in Canada.
Considering Fury's citizenship that is a oxymoronic phrase, they don't exists there.
Bradley destroyed Casa in the 4th round....4-0 Bradley....he is just getting warmed up
wtf? If it weren't for the deduction Casa could have arguably won it.
was kirkland one of those who turned down a lara fight when this card was being brought up? i know angulo, trout, and dzinziruk did, i'm wondering if kirkland was one as well. either way, molina and lara deserve a big fight, james kirkland is here.
Dzinziruk was in training camp to defend his title when he "turned down" a Lara fight. I like Lara but he can be a loudmouth idiot.
Lara would stop Kirkland in an easy fight.
I agree.
lol lara would absolutely pick kirkland apart. . . kirkland dies via 1000 straight left hands
im still not sold on kirkland beating any fighter with power and technical ability. . . his head is still straight up. . .
but you have a point - i dont see anybody at 154 willing to fight kirkland except maybe paul williams and lara.
I'm sure Konecny would and he would outclass and destroy Kirkland. He's also fighting for a Interm title soon so perhaps after he wins that he'll be able to persuade someone like Kirkland into a fight.
wolak gets raped. Doesnt have a punch to keep james of. easy work for james
This is how i see it but never underestimate how terrible James's chin is. I'm sure Wolak can hit as hard as Ishida. I would still expect James to take it.
Yeah, Ward fighting ATG Allan Green, a guy Bute already beat in Bika and a blown up Abraham is a great resume. Seriously, Ward was in the S6 for the last 2 years and his only good win is Kessler.
And BTW, you want Bute to fight out of Canada but also say he fights bums. So you want him to go abroad to fight bums for peanuts? Come on now, be serious
Don't forget Miranda who Bute destroyed compared to Ward.
Power, footwork, left uppercut, combination, TALENT WISE, Bute is better than Froch and Ward.
Johnson, Macgee, Miranda, Zuniga, Andrade x2 and Bika.
Sorry but Ward's resume isn't really better than that, and Ward is holding, clinching, headbutting, hitting too low, dirty boxing sucks.
Bute is the real deal, he wason a french TV show last week and he said if he wanted later on, he could fight at Cruiserweight.
Bute is way too good for the Oakland scrubs. Fresh Coast sucks anywya.
Berrio is a real good win and one of his best.
It's the same reason Zungia was old, fighting above his natural weight of 160 and shot when Bute destroyed him yet when Zuniga 2 years later moves up to LHW and goes the distance with "Cloud the destroyer" their opinions of Zuniga have changed. Bute gets no credit for that win.
People are going a little OTT with the Kirkland hype now. I do think you have to factor in that Angulo was destroying him and then completely gassed out, he was a dead man walking after that. A re-match would be spectacular, even better than tonight's.
Still, James did what he needed to and it's undoubtedly a great win.
Angulo visibly punched himself out...If he woulda just taken his time and been calculated, this would not have happened...He was a punching bag for 5 rounds and it still took Kirkland forever to take him out...Angulo's arm punches after the knockdown and punching himself out couldn't have hurt most of us on this message board...His arms were like slinkys out there...I honestly believe Angulo would have died out there tonight, that's how much heart he has...Take nothing away from James, but if Angulo had of been smarter in there, this woulda been a totally different fight...Having 2 rounds under his belt in 18 months i think they said didn't help matters any.
lmao 100% what i saw. Slinky comment is great.
yeah and now he doesn't have it anymore. sucks for him, i'd like to see the rematch between him and konecny next year if dzinziruk doesn't get a fight here in the states. i think he might though cause this division is stacked with great potential matchups, dzinziruk included.
and lara is just brave. he wants to fight the biggest and the best. i mean what other 154 lber would ask for pirog in russia?
Ya he got a elbow injury or something half way through camp so they made Konecny's replacement fight for the WBO interm title. He will have to unify with Dzinziruk once Serhiy is back. Remember that Dzinziruk is in the US now, i believe with Gary Shaw. I expect Lukas to win their rematch.
Konecny vs Kirkland is the fight i most want to see. Lara sure as hell needs something too maybe he can get Bundrage he's rated high there.
So Salido vs Lomachenko is next?
If Lomachenko beats Salido in only his second fight, he would be off to a HOF start.
The division and his promoter have the talent to assist too. Top Rank has WBO Salido, IBF Gradovich, WBA Walters, Donaire, Juanma Lopez and Rigondeaux at 122. Mares and Ponce De Leon are Golden Boy but what about Gonzalez? Alot of great fights to make.
Very quick, sharp, has good footwork, but I didn't like how quick he was to shell up when the fight got to close quarters. Not being very good on the inside shouldn't be enough to prevent him from real success, though - and who knows, maybe he'll become a more confident fighter at close range as he has more pro fights.
Really don't think they should be rushing him from the get go, though. He's not really old and I'd like to see the guy develop as a professional and not burn out after a couple of years.
Funny thing is he is excellent on the inside. Not sure why he didn't show it and fight more on the inside but i suspect it had to do with him wanting to pace himself for 10 rounds. He said he wanted to go the distance and didn't mean to knock Ramirez out.
Might as well.
Who do you think?
Pretty sure it's Golovkin, had Rosado on the defensive the whole fight, cut him in the second and beat him into submission.
Quillin knocked him down, but Rosado had constant pressure and was hurting Chocolate
Also what's with Chocolate and fighting his mom?
First he said he'd kill his Mom for a belt and now he said he'd defend against his Mom.
Not long after he said that Golovkin offered him a title shot only for Quillin to turn him down haha
their wasnt multiple pairs only a second pair, and he was welcomed to wear it but guess what, GGG and team wouldent give up the pair they had!
lol So you're making up your own version of reality then?
to be honest that grant statement made the entire thing look suspicious.
before the statement i just washed it off as bitterness but something is obviously not right..............
so the solution is for him to use the exact same gloves that he's complaining about?
what kind of pre school logic is that haha
I assume you didn't read the actual article. Grant didn't suggest using Golovkin's extra sets it was Sanchez. What Grant said is that Rosado's accusation about the gloves not being to specification implied he would be willing to risk the repuation of his company to give one boxer an unfair advantage. Grant makes custom color gloves for everyone including Mayweather, Hopkins, Klitschko but thinking he would risk everything for Golovkin is a pathetic and illogical accusation.
Thats why I say most likely a sore loser, but his accusation arent entirely without substance, both side agree their was a problem with the gloves but GGG was the A side so guess what only Rosado was asked if he wanted to wear GGG gloves not the other way around.
Nobody agreed with Rosado or his trainer including the NYSAC. There you go making up your own reality again.
Does anyone see the resemblance in careers with Jirov as well? Jirov started 30-0 (27) and had a non stop pressure style designed to wear fighters down. I use to love watching him too!
Yes it's Jirov in the backround. He was relentless but Golovkin has much better technique, versatility and very good defense while Jirov had virtually none for alot of his career.
Where are you hearing that?
I remember reading it too before Korobov's last fight against Brewer which Able Sanchez attended. I think it was Loeffler who mentioned his name as a possible opponent before Stevens was finalized when they still thought Golovkin would be fighting for a 5th time in December in Monaco. They moved the date back but still want to hold another card there.
With Golovkin willing to fight outside the US to make this happen i hope the WBA strip Murray of his interm belt if he doesnt go through with this. He was supposed to fight Golovkin in his last fight or lose the belt but they made an exception so he could fight a journeyman big surprise.
