Roberto looks very good in that picture. A few years back he was gigantic!!! Had to be 220lbs easily and looked very sad. Hopefully someone is watching out for him. Ray

GG would've got his ass beat trying to stalk and trade with even a last it Duran.

Duran: "I could STILL beat your ass."
Duran looks very good. I got used to him being grossly overweight but he looks good in that picture. Duran was not consistant in the ring and sometimes did not train as hard as he should but at his best he might have been the best lightweight of all time and a damn good fighter all the way up to middleweight which is way to big for him.
Jirov fans coming out the woodworks as he sports a Kazakh mafia ponytail. His style was fun to watch, but he should've gotten with some trainers to combine his boxing skill with his love for body punching a bit better. They basically threw it away and made him into a pressure fighter that takes punishment even in many of the fights he won.
Yes it's Jirov in the backround. He was relentless but Golovkin has much better technique, versatility and very good defense while Jirov had virtually none for alot of his career.
That to me made him so exciting. He was one of my favorite for a while and I got to sir ringside for his war with Toney.
Does anyone see the resemblance in careers with Jirov as well? Jirov started 30-0 (27) and had a non stop pressure style designed to wear fighters down. I use to love watching him too!

I swear that looks just like Vasilly Jirov behind Duran. Been going back and forth between this pic and Jirov's boxrec pic....Wouldn't surprise me as both are from Kazakhstan.

Followed shortly by "In my era GGG would have been a nobody." Sorry, had to. Duran thinks everyone sucks balls these days.

Funny, I was just thinking it looks like one of those pictures you can put a caption to. Duran to Golovkin: "In my era, you would have been a nobody." lol
Nice picture, though. :fing02:
