Golovkin-Murray likely next Feb 1st at Monte Carlo

There was a tweet from Murray's people about being on this undercard, but that's not happening either, is it?

guess its not murray. yea, because he opted to fight for the regular title on the undercard than Golovkin.

At least GGG is staying busy, plus Adama isn't exactly crap either. He could be doing a Maywather and only fighting strictly 2 times a year on set dates, we'll see Golovkin fighting 4 times next year no doubt.

I like Murray, and credit to him if he takes the fight, but I see nothing other than a demolition job by Golovkin. Murray is a very respectable fighter and about the best available (if he is available), furthermore he seems both a really decent guy and a big, tough middleweight. Nonetheless I can't see any other result that a Golovkin stoppage win. Boxing out of a defensive shell might prolong the fight, or he might change his style to try and emulate the modest success of Stevens when coming forward. The thing is, he doesn't have Stevens' handspeed or power, and even Stevens was outgunned by GGG. If he shells up then GGG can simply go to the body at will and Murray will get broken down, be it sooner or later. That said, Murray has to take his chances, it's not like title shots come everyday, and even if he loses, he's still potentially in the mix for the IBF title at some point.

One of the top 10 fights i've been asking for since Murray seemingly beat Martinez. People are hellbent on GGG vs Martinez or Quillen, but this is the fight to make right here. Murray should be Ring champ. This is gonna be a good fight, similar height and reach with Murray having the slight advantage in both, and Murray having the better fights (Martinez, Sturm), and of course that style that Murray has will give Golovkin his first 12 round fight of his career. I think Murray will win this fight, GG showed he does not know how to react to a 5'7" lower ranked MW with a high guard, he will find it much harder against the taller and more accurate Murray. I'm taking points bets. OK. I'll take that bet. How is that done? I think that Stevens was able to protect his body very well. Murray won't do as well.

It's stupid how people accused Murray of ducking when Hatton didn't want to make the fight earlier in 2013. Like Murray is just going to override what his promoter is telling him to do. People think every one is in the position of Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez, Cotto, Wlad. They can just pick and decline whoever. There's literally like 10 or less fighters who could actually do that. There were actually Golovkin fans that thought that Murray not being granted entry into the USA was an "excuse" for ducking :lol1:

Murray is another tuff fighter for GGG should be a great fight. GGG is just on another level and should get the hard fought win.

He'll demolish Murray, no doubt about it. I just hope a big fight awaits Gennady after it, that's what I am ready for already.
