I am not a huge fan of Tyson, and I would not put this type of behavior past him; however, this conviction seems more about punishing him for what he could do and not what actually happened. I could be wrong, but I heard that the victim went to the bathroom and removed her "feminine device" before returning to the bedroom where Mike was. That sounds like she was expecting some sort of contact.
"It's my hope that a conviction and prison time will help him to break his addictions and learn to comply with the law."
Prison time does not help people to break addictions and learn to comply with the law. If this guy was really concerned with Iron Mike breaking his addiction, he would push rehabilitation on him; not some celebrity fit club rehab, but a state-mandated rehab with the proper programs in line to address Tyson's problems.
I am not a huge Tyson fan, and if the DA wants to punish him, then so be it, but he shouldn't talk about his "hope" of prison straigtening out Tyson. It didn't the first time.
I don't see how he can prevent himself from going back to prison. It appears that the DA is set on trying the case which means that a plea deal for parole is very unlikely.
I cast my vote on other for Williams. Like the others mentioned, he has tremendous potential, but a victory over Mitchell doesn't make him a worldbeater. That being said, I look forward to seeing him fight.
I thought about voting for Gatti, but I don't think Gatti has ever really been hyped as anything more than a great show. In that vein, he is not overrated. When you watch his fights you understand that he is going out on his shield, or is going to do his best to put his opponent on his.
The movie was way off on many of the facts, which made Carter out to be the victim of a vengeful detective. The truth is, Carter was guilty and his guilty charge was dismissed on a technicality. Hollywood made him out to be a hero of sorts. He wasn't.

Yeah, it seemed that his corner was ignoring the obvious and instead of standing in for him and throwing in the towel, they made him come out and quit. It was like Smoger said: His corner wanted to keep fighting. I can understand motivating your fighter, but in this case "one more round" could have got him seriously injured.
He had like 2 fights. I don't know why, but I have a hard time controlling my anger looking at that picture.
Maybe it's the purple shorts. I can see those making somebody angry.
And it will help Floyd's legacy. I am not a Floyd fan whatsoever, but it will be nice to see him start padding his resume with these types of fights. These types of tests will determine his all time great status.
Mullet head and the guy in the warm-ups are bullies. They are sure that these students will not fight back, so they do what was done to them, just like frat hazing. It serves no real purpose other than to make these students "tough", which is unnecessary. There are a multitude of fighters who were not treated this way, but are the very best and baddest. These losers prey on the weak.
That crazy grunting guy is looking for some serious training injuries, especially in his shoulders and lower back. It looks impressive but there are definitely smarter ways to train to get the same, or even better, results.
If Mayweather had anywhere near the bargaining power and name recognition that he claims to have, he could have things his way; however, in reality, he doesn't. So, he will go along with anything DLH demands. This is Oscar's idea of "ambushes, barrio style guerrilla warfare." I am sure that given your druthers that you would like the "rumble" on your own turf. That is all Oscar is doing. This is not an unfair fight. All this does is give PBF an excuse should he happen to lose, which I don't think he will, even though I would like to see it happen.
I am not a huge Tyson fan; however, I don't think that Tyson can be labeled as not having a heart. He didn't react well under the pressure that Holyfield put on him, and, not having an answer for Holyfield, he bit him. That doesn't speak to his lack of heart as much as it does to his animalistic nature. The beating that he stood in for against Lennox shows his heart, as does, to a lesser extent, his loss against Douglas. Again, I am not a Tyson apologist, and I dislike many of the things he has done, mostly outside of the ring, but I won't label him as a boxer who doesn't have heart.
I think that the problem with Larry is that he started out as a sportswriter and he tries to use illustrious, well-thought out metaphors that writers have the advantage of time to come up with. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have much time to think about what he is going to say; therefore, he slows down his speech, acts thoughtful, and more often than not, comes up with some bizarre illustration. Of course, aging and purported alcohol use do not help his problem.
I am not a Mayweather fan, but I hope he knocks Spinks out. For me, Spinks' style is unwatchable. I understand the "science" of boxing: to hit without getting hit; however, Spinks just runs. As soon as Spinks won his last fight, I was hoping that Mayweather might get the chance to clock him. Also, this will give Mayweather a title at 154. This could be a lure for a DLH fight, which would be quite a spectacle.
I like the idea of Mayweather fighting Baldomir. Although Baldi isn't the biggest threat at welterweight, he is the recognized champion at the weight. For us that are not really fans of PBF, this could be a turning point. I wouldn't mind seeing somebody clean out the divisions on his way up, rather than just picking a paper champ in order to claim a belt. I would really like to root for Floyd. Maybe a war with Baldomir could help that along.
