IMHO who among the fighters past and present who are not overrated? even SRR at times is being overrated.
I am a fan of both Ali and Tyson, and probably overrate them myself, but I am just thankful that I witness both their reigns during my lifetime
for a long while now PAC-PBF is back at its best time to be made, both just won their last fight, PBF still the No. 1 p4p, Pac with back to back wins and beating the p4p no. 3 has dibs on no. 2 at the least no. 3 .... still the biggest fight in boxing to be made, some may say it lost it luster but casual fans will still eat this up!
JMM is an expert at timing, maidana isn't lol
chino will be to busy covering up on pacquiao's flurries to be bothered with timing....
side note, it took JMM 40 rounds before he finally hit the jackpot...
truth to be told although IMHO maidana will have a bigger puncher's chance vs pacquiao than he had with floyd but maidana will also be beaten like a drum...
why this thread suddenly became about floyd?
I say Freddie is just doing some lip service, it is not necessarily just for Canelo, maybe reminding everyone and in preparation for other possible fights, that he wont go further than 150...
like I said on my previous post, if I were with Team Pac, the only one worth going up even up to 154 is Floyd, their are lot of fights to be made at 147 and even 140, which is closer to his real weight class...
all fighters who have achieved top level competitions should have an interview like that before they retire...it's good for the fans.
this is great thread, I agree with you bro and I want to see one interview at their peak and another when they retire...
Golden Boy can't split, it's Oscar's company. All that will happen is that they'll fire their negligent CEO.
I agree if someone working for me is becoming a pain in the a_s, most natural thing to do is fire him...
IMHO without Oscar's name and fame GBP would not be what it is, Floyd, Haymon and Ricahrd could also form a promotion that could rival GBP and TR...
That's great stuff. It seemed like Mosley went out of his way to give Pacquiao no credit. Earlier he had said Pacquiao was tied with Forrest for the hardest puncher. Surely Pacquiao has faster hands than Oscar ever had. It's very interesting to hear what the fighters say. Toney seems to hate Jones and doesn't want to give him any credit at all. I noticed Hatton now says Pacquiao was the best all around fighter he ever fought after years of saying Mayweather was by far the best he ever fought. As someone who likes Pacquiao better than Mayweather that made me happy.
I think the Mosley interview was done before the pacquiao fight...
myself and no disrespect to Oscar, I feel pac's answers were screwy on fastest feet and best jab ....
Guys do they have one for Duran, Leonard, Hearns and Hagler?
But he wasn't too small for Margarito?
right after he fought Margarito, pac mentioned that he will never fight at this weight, after all he knows where his limits at, in reality he is small and his speed and activity is his best weapon against the big boys...
IMHO if they want to go for the big guys, go for it all the way,if not, stay at 147 and fight all comers, their are a lot of good fights to be made, or go down to 140....
if I was on Team Pac I would only go to 154 for Mayweather...
I thought it was already released. I read somewhere that it was shown on some selected theaters a few weeks ago but bombed out and was pulled out after 2 days.
they showed this in the movies? I though this was TV viewing??
If they did showed this in the cinemas, I think even in the Philippines this will bombed out, as we have already tons of manny pacquiao documentaries, but if this was shown in TV, being new, this will have a very high rating deserving prime time spot...
If it was stopped before the 4th ended it would have been a NC. No one would have won.
and he will retain his belt, to clear things up Nonito should give him an immediate rematch....
bro pac has been KO two times before Marquez so its nothing new, if he ever fights maidana, pac's specialty are come forward fighters, he will win the fight pulling away and may even get a KO/TKO....
Fought through?? He was *****ing all fight about it. And the cut could had being from a punch that V12 landed in a combo he trhew in the first round, but they aint showing that.
Ive seen way worst cuts than that, and fighters go the full 12 and if/when the fight gets stop the get mad cause they want to continue fighting.
Donaire was ready to pull the plug, he smart he new after 4 thy go to the socrecards, and when het got the KD he knew he had it in the bag.
This was corrupt and shamefull. And I say it again Donaire is mentally weak, after the Rigondeaux schooling.
bro how can he be smart and mentally weak at the same time?
anyway imho nonito is not that smart but also not that weak mentally....
I don't believe in "This fighter from this certain fight, could beat this other fighter". That makes no sense. Styles make fights, that makes sense.
Maidana could very well go in there and get marked up and cut up by Pacquiao and get stopped.
Same with "The Marquez that knocked Pacquiao out"...No, he would lose 120-108 against Floyd anyway.
The Cotto that fought Floyd could beat Pacquiao...no he can't, more competitive than the first time, maybe...beat Pac? No.
The "Fighter A" from "Fight B" can beat "Fighter C", does not really work. It is just as bad as the triangle theory.
Pacquiao may look 10 times better against Maidana than Floyd did, because stylistically that's what Pacquiao specializes in. While Mayweather may shut out Bradley 120-108.
point 1 I agree
Point 2 I agree /disagree that Marquez was really powerfull that night plus the fact they have fought once already I am sure JMM would be able to make adjustments but probably not enough to beat floyd...he was hurting pac for sure FMJ will feel his punches and will be more respectful so a shutout is almost nill ....
Point 3 AGREE
Point 4 agree
Point 5 IMHO they should fight the fight and lets see what happen
Pac's superior footwork and boxing skills would be too much for Maidana.
Pac would run rings around him.
yeah, floyd's superior foot work and boxing skill were also supposed to be too much for chino too
pac is faster on his feet not to mention he will throw a lot of punches, maidana come forward fighter is an opponent that manny eats up....
Mayweather-Marquez had nothing to do with power or the lack of it. Marquez simply got outboxed and could barely land anything significant. We all know Marquez in all 4 fights vs Pacquiao had no trouble landing punches. Pacquiao is there to be hit problem is he lands a lot of punches in return, and Marquez is also there to be hit so that's why they both land so many punches on each other. With Floyd-Marquez, only one fighter was there to be hit and it was not Floyd.
power is not only my point, emphasis is on marquez's experience fighting PBF, the first time he was made to be the puncher instead of the counter puncher that he is, it is discredit to JMM to think the he will be white washed by anyone including floyd the night he put manny to sleep....
I remember floyd acknowledging JMM as a great small man...
I suddenly have the urge to see this two fight each other, this could be one of the fights TR and GBP are cooking....
Rios is huge, who was maidana training for?
selling 700k ppv buys vs bradley if that is not a PPV fighter, aside from Floyd I do not know who is?
anyway I hope to see the all PPV fighters be eliminated and we get to see these fights on national TV, ok we see these free in the Philippines but only for big fights...
he he glass jaw vs glass body you guys are funny...
IMHO it is good viewing as one hit could actually change the outcome of the fight and this go both ways...
What happened to Nonito is the very reason why Bob Arum helped Pacquiao duck Mayweather. Pacquiao fans should be thankful that fight never happened because Floyd would of schooled Pacquiao worse than Rigo did.
not comparable to Pac, Manny has lost few times, ktfo few time but each time comeback stronger and achieved even greater heights...
anyway Nonito is scheduled for his 2nd fight after the lost, IMHO he may be down but still not out...
