I wonder how pac would do against chino. After seeing maidana push floyd to the edge do you guys think pac stylistically would have an easier outing vs chino or would he get hurt during the bout and stopped? Pac has claimed he was hurt vs rios and was seemed to be momentarily stunned by tim during his last fight so would maidana have a good chance of stopping him?
Have no idea why people compare Maidana to Rios. Maidana is wayyyyy better than Rios.. at this stage of the game.
Maidana coming in at 165 with horsehair gloves? Also dont know why he's viewed as slow and flat footed.. he cut off the ring on Floyd well in their fight and was fast enough to catch May ducking with an uppercut.. and catching may in the middle of a pullcounter. Maidana actually has good reaction time defensively.
not sure who I would pick. Id need to see both guy's camps. Thats how I knew with Chino-Floyd
Maidana will eat a lot of straight lefts until he starts to shell up.
Then it will look like the Rios fight.
Pac is far more careful and less reckless than he used to be. That big KO punch is not going to land. Pac will earn Maidana's respect early unlike Mayweather.
I agree......
I agree BUT he would've still beat the hell out of him just like he did. LoL. Manny is a BAD dude, man. He's quiet, classy, and respectful, always laughing so people think he's not mean or pumped up. In the ring, he's a KILLER again. Rios has that crazy rare toughness like Cheeto had. He's hard to KO but he definitely felt Manny's power and IDC what he says.
Easy fight........
Honestly man, absolutely. Manny is just as athletic as Floyd but has better overall hand-speed, foot-speed, angle punching, and KILLER INSTINCT. Manny is back and on a mission. He is a silent assassin. If I was guys like Broner, Maidana, Bradley, etc I'd leave his name out of their mouths. He's a bad dude and smarter than ever in the ring. He break Maidana's face. Floyd is overrated. I keep telling you guys this. He was getting hit with jabs and clean shots by Maidana where Maidana wouldn't be able to find Manny because of his great legs. He gets ALL of the way out of the way of punches. You don't grab him and tee off on him like Maidana did Floyd. Floyd's legs have never been that good. I think Manny is a better fighter and I've always said that. Notice how Floyd won't call Manny out? Now, why you think that is?
When was the last time Pacquiao stopped someone? How many fights ago was that? This isn't 2009 anymore, Pac has gone 5-6 years and 8 fights w/o knockout, if he couldn't stop Rios then he sure as hell isn't stopping Maidana.
imo a prime pac wouldnt stop rios
JMM is an expert at timing, maidana isn't lol
chino will be to busy covering up on pacquiao's flurries to be bothered with timing....
side note, it took JMM 40 rounds before he finally hit the jackpot...
I say more like vs cotto
Maidana at least stepped his defense up and uses angles
Maidana is chinny though I see PAC possibly tko
Via body shots

truth to be told although IMHO maidana will have a bigger puncher's chance vs pacquiao than he had with floyd but maidana will also be beaten like a drum...
Maidana bent low and use his jab as a pushing range-finder to close in on his opponents and trap them against the ropes. He's a tough swarmer to catch on the way in because he's not squaring up himself to give you an easy target. With that being said, Manny would beat on the outside, but Maidana would hurt and might even drop him with a looping overhand right.

Pacman is weak dude, he has no lifting strength, Rios, Bradley, Mosley, Hatton, were all stronger than him. Pacman can't even bench press 100 pounds.
Maidana was strong in the clinch that is why Floyd had trouble with him
hatton was not stronger than him, i think i remember hatton trying to clinch and pac shoving him away
Maidana doesn't just come at you with the intention of pressuring his opponents and keeping the fight in the center of the ring. He attacks his opponents with intention of trapping them against the ropes and use every bit of his weight to keep the fight against the ropes. No matter how great Manny is at letting his hands go, he'd have a tough time at keeping Maidana off of him.
Though Manny has a heck of a lot of lateral movement-- When Chino attacks he's gotten very good a rolling up a guy in the Philly Shell, and pushing back more conventional boxers. Trying to do that with Pac is more likely to end up with Pac beside him and Chino out of position. At this stage in the game it would be a high drama fight (but in the good way). LOL. I'd have to take a sedative before the fight.

Lol at this Floyd fans trying to overrate maidana coz he beat mayweather... Mayweather has always been overrated...
And to think of it, Maidana was supposed to be a total mismatch.
.
Chino's style is PERFECT for Pac. Pac is at his best when his opponent comes at him. Maidana might catch him though.
