Um not many people do the showboatind during the fight but Ahmed is so cocky its just his style. And sergio, he was just making Ishe mad.
Sergio fought and thought at the same time if fighters dont recognize that its part of boxing then they'll never achieve what sergio's pretty lady said ("Greatness") before he tricked Ishe.
Everyone is talking about the adjustments that Bhop is going to make, but failed to mention the ones Taylor will make.
First off, I think he finally learned to keep his right in when he's throwing a jab.
Someone mentioned that Bhop felt Taylor's power and knows he can handle it...NEWFLASH Taylor didn't really land a clean power shot on him the entire fight. Most were partially blocked/parried.
Taylor is a hard puncher, and if he lands a flush one, it could be lights out. He ate Bhop's BEST shots in the 11th and 12th, and stayed on his feet.
Taylor by late stoppage or UD. Experience is a beautiful thing with Taylor ahead in the fight those last 4 rounds were a clinic on how to whup ass.Taylor has that knowledge at his disposal to learn and prepare from. Yet that isnt what Hopkins is going to show at 40 years old he can pull out techniques and pace himself because Taylor will so tuned in on those last four rounds and not letting them happen again. Hopkins will box Taylor with controlled and calculated aggression and introduce Taylor too a whole new level of boxing especially if he can get off to an early start.
In that case here it is.
Ali/Tyson
Foreman
Marciano
Frazier
Holmes
Liston
Patterson
Dempsey
Louis
Lewis
Toney because he is a current champion, or will be.
I think that roy should have worked his way into title contetion proving to himself that he could beat tarver k=now he needs to go and fight Johnson and serve him up a good whooping. Then come back and after a couple more bouts, beat Tarver.
Wlad vs. Tyson
Holmes vs. Foreman
Rosie o'donell vs. Whoopi Goldberg
Vitali vs. Lennox.
Jones Jr. Vs Toney or Jirov (only if roy actually fights this time if not put in tarver.
Rahman vs. Holifield that lump was sick. :D
:boxing: Despite the huge size of some of the bigger heavyweights, a skilled powerful fighter with speed could decimate a lot of the big plodders. I always found it strange that being heavyweight seemed like a licence to turn certain fighters into eating machines.
Prime Tyson was flooring plenty of far bigger men. Toney is carrying excess bulk and would IMO be a far better fighter if his weight were less and stamina thusly higher. Byrd has done OK.
In fact Tyson got lesser as his size crept higher. His early training regimes were based on speed, stamina and skill. I am certain he relied on weights in his later career. His weight was certainly far higher.
So true excellent point :boxing:
:boxing: i think changing the weight limits a small amount would benefit boxing. guys are constantly getting bigger, its evoution, and the weight classes hsould evolve also. i think they should move the cruiser limit up to 205 or 210 and the light heavy to 180 or 185, they could go from there.....
I think that we should revert to the old days the least a Heavyweght should weigh is 190 the cruiser weight division is a division with talented fights lost in limbo too small for heavyweight ans SOME,too slow for the lighter weight classes.
HVY Wght 190-330(too keep shaq from joining)
Lgt HV Wght max 180
Spr Mids max 168
and so on....... :boxing:
Lewis was NOWHERE near Tyson Prime. Prime Tyson vs prime Ali has been a good topic IN ALL YEARS. It shows how much prime Tyson is respected. I have neva heard ta same praise fo Lewis. Lewis = Nothin compared to Tyson. DEAL WIT IT!
Leenox who?
IMO
Yall are crazy Tyson quit against mcbride and was hurt against DW. Besides both are taller and bigger than Tarver not to mention stronger. Like Toney i think Tarver could be a descent heavyweight but he should test himself first with guys like Guin Jirov, McBride fighters that will make it easy for him to understand if this is the right thing to do. :boxing:
Looks to me like he hasen't fought anyone with a winning record. What's the medical suspension for?
TOOK THE WORDS OUT MY MOUTH THIS GUY NEEDS SOME COMPETITION BUT HE AT LEAST HE DIDNT LOSE TO THESE GUYS.
I was just wondering, is anyone picking Soliman over Wright?
everyone has a chance...........Hell to the nah :boxing: :boxing: :boxing:
AND THAT THE TRUTH.
:boxing: winky had the flu and had little to no idea of how soliman was going to come in and fight (like he said post-fight). wright had an off night and is still the best middle weight
The flu, coming in at 171 those are just excuses. Give Soliman some credit he went 3blows for 1 with winky and took some of that shine away from wright. :boxing: :boxing:
dont underestamate him, he is actaully a good fighter, i got to meet and hang out with him when he fought in lemoore. He is very motivated since hopkins decided not to defend agaisnt him and fight taylor. If given the opportunity, this guy will fight, and he will fight hard. I dont know if he will win, but he does have a legitamte shot. Just remember no one gave rahim a shot at morales. oppps how did that fight go again.
True but morales was in the wrong weight class Winky is right where he should be.
:boxing: :boxing: :boxing:
honestly if you ever saw soliman fight before you realize that winky's punches werent hurting him. the few that did land cleanly his movemnets were off the chain. That desicion was bull. i had soliman winning the first 2, 5, 6, 8, and 11 and 12. how do you miss 80% of your puches with an opponent that stands right infront of you. Soliman had the perfect style and stamina to beat winky and thats what he did.
Winky won because there is a whole lot more money to be made. with JT.
b-hop in my opinon would get winkyand so would a rjj.
:boxing: :boxing: :boxing: :boxing:
All that muscle may be what is killing Mormeck too. I've seen it before ... big muscly guys with stamina problems. Takes too much fuel to keep it all running. At heavy, he couldn't afford to get tired.
I was just curious to what you said about Mormeck havin trouble at the Heavyweight division. Do you mean that he will be drained from the jump or the extra bulk he will have to maintain. :boxing: :boxing:
Archie Moore is one of my favorite fighters of all time... but he's as much a heavyweight as RJJ is.
HE'S MORE RJJ HAD 1 FIGHT HE'S MORE A HVY. THAN TONEY HE FOUGHT HIS WAY INTO TITLE CONTENTION.
Archie Moore lost every significant heavyweight match he was in...
A great, great fighter....but not a great heavyweight.
Frazier,Foreman,Norton all needed Archie moore because of the Mongoose defense that they copied from him
Heart is more than just winning guys...
Tyson, even though he had lost his once incredible skills, by the time he fought Douglas, showed plenty of heart...he never gave up in that fight. He also didnt back down when Razor Ruddock hit him cleanly with many good shots...
The Tyson that came out of prison in 1995 did not want to fight. He fought only for the money, not for the love of the sport...
It is very apparant in how he acted, how little he trained, and in how he fought.
But dont come on here telling me he never had a heart or never had skill like some of you guys have said...
You need to watch his earlier fights, not his fights after prison.
That rhe gospel right there Tyson took beatings at the end of his career even when he had no desire to fight he went out there and tried to knock the other guys head off.
Tyson once had heart, & of course he had tremendous skills.
No one denies he had all of that. The problem is how overrated he was & still is.
His crazed fans insist he could beat anyone who has ever stepped into the ring. They have ready excuses for every loss or misstep throughout his career.
More realistsic fans just tell it like it is, & it appears he's getting no credit. The truth is, he gets too much credit.
every fighter loses for some its how they lose Tyson won like a champion but didnt lose like one. his record says enough.the man is great and very much underrated stop hating on him. Tyson destropyed heavyweight boxing who else can say that.
Heart Is Fighting A Giant And Coming Out On Top.
Getting Knocked Down And Getting Up.
Getting Beat And Trying To Fight Back.
Tyson Was Not Trained To Be On Par With Any Fighter He Was Supposed To Be Dominant And Superior To His Opponents When That Wasnt The Case He Had No Tricks In The Bag. You Can Blame That On Cus D'amato Patterson Was The Same Way. Plan A Got Them To The Top But There Was Never A Plan B
As Soon As The Fighter Lost His Head Movment You See What Happens Especially When They Throw One Punch Looking For The Ko Instead Of Loooking For The Combos And Points And Winning Rounds.
Of course you hate it when people say such things about Tyson. If you were to admit that it's true, it would mean that you have your mouth wrapped arounf his ball sack for nothing! Oh! And by the by, unlike Corrales & Castillo, Tyson never won an all out war against a fighter of equal quality. "Heart" is more than the ability at making a "feeble" attempt to get up, but then, how would you know? As far as kissing your ass goes, I'm sure "Iron Mike" would love to but you'll have to move your nose.

What does that have to do with his accomplishments at heavyweight ?
Nothing it was his influence as a boxer.
Legitimacy for dipute of other great boxers.
Marciano and Ali both defeated him. Yet he was really old and sort of passed on the torch. Holifield is sort of this way in a lesser fashion.
besides he is a champion that revolutioned the style of boxing.
He won fights and fought for championships at a very old age.
His spot might be a little high though I'll admit that but without him the history of boxing in the HVY WGHT. division would be TO SAY THE LEAST DAMAGED. :boxing: :boxing:
