Cant be undisputed unless they are fighting for all 3 belts.
IBF, WBC, WBA. And are usually recognized by the people as the Undisputed Champion.
Those are people who still don't recognize WBO as a legitimate belt. Time is moving and they need adapt.
You cannot be "undisputed" if you don't beat Brewster, Calzaghe, Margarito or Cotto. The Judah fight is an example of an "undisputed champion" who wasn't really undisputed.
So only unifying 4 belts give you a true right to be called undisputed. You can be also undisputed if you unify even 2 belts but there is no real contender for you. So if Calzaghe unify with Lazy then they still have Kessler to beat to be called undisputed and no matter what belts they really cary.
All that muscle may be what is killing Mormeck too. I've seen it before ... big muscly guys with stamina problems. Takes too much fuel to keep it all running. At heavy, he couldn't afford to get tired.
I was just curious to what you said about Mormeck havin trouble at the Heavyweight division. Do you mean that he will be drained from the jump or the extra bulk he will have to maintain. :boxing: :boxing:
I dont care much for the Alpha belts.
Your the true champ if you hold the Lineal title.
The man who beats the man ete.
If he retires, he has to clean out the divsion to be champ or in most cases unify the titles.
I give Bell all the credit in the world for winning.. but that doesn't mean I have to like him. I don't think Mormeck would do the greatest in the HW. He's only like 5'11 and all ready damn near cloes to pure muscle with his physique. I think moving up would cause problems, and he probably could do decently well but not well enough to win a belt, but that is merely speculation.

Im not a big fan of the WBO. With that aside ,Baldomir only fought for the WBC title because he didnt pay the sanctioning fee for the IBF and WBA, because it would have been 10,000 dollars. But at the end of the day he beat the man at welterweight, and now he is the champion.
you need all four belts, nothing less. if ur not fighting for the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO titles and you still say that ur fighting for the undisputed title, you are lying.
everybody by now knows my position on the belts.
i think its super nova thats what he kept sayin after the fight
http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=020382 ya its both give em hell and supernova
I was surprised by the Bell KO as well, but you've gotta give credit where credit's due. I think Mormeck will do well at Heavyweight if he makes the jump. His style would suit the division. I would like to see Bell-Braithwaite, even though Mormeck beat him convincingly. Dale Brown deserves another shot at Bell, also. Bell vs. Cunningham should be a good fight, too. The Cruiserweight division does not get the recognition it deserves... many solid fighters.

I'm very sad. There aren't many fighters from a cross the pond I root for avidly (not for any major reason, but mostly due to lack of exposure and simply not liking their styles). I can't wait for an eventual rematch to see Mormeck punish Bell for all of his clowning in the ring.

I was really looking forward to hearing, "And now undisputed champion... Jean Marc "The Marksman" Mormeck". I'm so sad.
